For R35 to R70 trotters. Front: R35 to R39. 10m: R40 to R50. 20m: R51 to R57. 30m: R58 to R63. 40m: R64 to R70. The winner will get a rating penalty free win if 4YO and older, and driven by a Junior Driver, and has not previously won a rating penalty free race this season. See special condition No.6

R35 TO R60, R61 TO R65 WITH COND. MOBILE PACE 2200m (Tentative)

Of $12000

For R35 to R60 pacers. Also R61 to R65 if driven by a concession junior driver. This race will be split (if entries permit) by Ratings. Preferential Barrier Draws will be used if deemed necessary by ratings. The stake for the lowest race will be $10,000, middle race(s) $11,000, and highest race $12,000.

Special Conditions

  1. RIGHT OF RE-ENTRY TIME

    Shall be 5pm on day before raceday.

  2. ORIGINAL NOMINATIONS

    In the event horses are transferred to another race from the trainer, selection preference will be given to original nominations received for that race.

  3. IMPORTANT NOTICE TO NOMINATORS

    Owners and Trainers are reminded that the club has the right to transfer any horse not selected to start in a race for which it was nominated to ANY OTHER RACE ON THE PROGRAMME for which it may be eligible. If you do not wish the club to exercise it's right to transfer a particular nominated horse then it is your responsibility as the nominator to advise the club of the same.

  4. SPLITTING FIELDS

    In the event any race or races are split on this Programme, unless specific in the individual race conditions, races will be split and selected at the club's discretion, with consideration given to Ratings in the first instance.

  5. DUAL ACCEPTORS/NOMINATORS

    In the event that horses have gained a start at another meeting these horses are not guaranteed to gain a start at this meeting.

  6. GOLD CHIP

    For non-win (MR), or up to 1 win trotters for lifetime aged three years and older at the closing of nominations for the Winton HRC meeting to be held on Thursday 26th September 2024. Conditions: 1. Open to all trotters aged three years and older that have never won a race (non-winners, MR), or have won one win for lifetime. 2. To be eligible to start in the Gold Chip Championship Trot a horse must start in at least one race or an open trot race run by Southern Harness Racing Clubs (Winton HRC, Invercargill HRC, Gore HRC, Wyndham HRC and Oamaru HRC) in the period from 1st August 2024 through to 19th September 2024. The 'R' rating horses must win their second respective race at one of the Southern Harness meetings to be eligible 3.Field selection for the Gold Chip Championship will operate as follows: Most wins at a Southern Harness Club meeting during that period, most 2nds at a Southern Harness Club meeting during that period, most 3rds at a Southern Harness Club meeting during that period, then Club Discretion. 4.The $15000 Gold Chip Championship held on 26th September 2024 at the Gore HRC meeting and will be raced over 2700m, from a standing start. (non-winners, MR) will start from the front line, R rated horses from a 20 metre handicap.
