Special Conditions
- RATINGS PROGRAMME
This programme is ratings based. It is a likely indication of the programme that will be in place for the meeting. Where it is required changes will be made to the final programme after the close of withdrawals. Ratings bands and other conditions shown only serve as an indication as to how races will likely be programmed. As nominations permit race conditions will be programmed to ensure horses can race in a competitive environment whilst also optimizing field sizes and where possible ensuring as many horses as possible gain a start. Some minimal movement of horses may be required when finalizing fields to accommodate trainer splits.
- ONE NOMINATION PER HORSE
Trainers are advised that a horse may only be nominated for One Race at this meeting. Trainers do however have the right to Transfer their horse(s) following the close of Nominations. The Club reserves the right to transfer any horse deemed necessary, unless trainers specify that their horse(s) is NOT to be Transferred.

Owners and Trainers please note that these meetings are each restricted to an eight race programme.
- MANAWATU JUNIOR DRIVER SERIES
For Junior Drivers who drive in a minimum of ten (10) totalisator races at Manawatu Raceway from 21 November 2023 up to and including 28 March 2024. The Junior Driver (if licenced as at 28 March 2023) with the highest UDR after the final meeting of the series 28 March 2024 will receive $1,500, 2nd place $1000, 3rd place $500. Should a tie exist the allocated prize will then go to the Junior Driver with the most wins at Manawatu Raceway from 21/11/23 to 28/3/24 then most seconds then most thirds and so forth. Should any dispute arise a final determination will be made by the President of the Manawatu Harness Racing Club.
- NORTHERN REGIONAL TROTTERS CHAMPIONSHIP
Trotters Final Fri, 12 April 2024 Cambridge Raceway. 2700m Disc Hcp R35 & Faster. Max back mark 40m. To qualify for the Northern Region Trotters Final a horse must have had at least (two starts for trotters) in the scheduled Championship Qualifying races. To be eligible to contest the Regional Final a horse must be rated at R85 or below at the time of their first start in a Regional Country Championship Qualifying race. Or, if rated higher than R85 when first contesting a qualifying race, dropped to a Rating of R85 or less prior to nominations closing for the last qualifying race The Northern Regional Trotters Qualifying Championship dates dates will follow the dates & venues currently listed on the schedule for the Pacers Country Championship Qualifying Schedule for 2024 listed on the HRNZ Website. Excluding the Northern Trotters Final which will be held at Cambridge on 12 Apr 24. The designated trotters qualifying races will be indicated on the respective race programmes on these dates. The qualifying points for trotters will be (all races) irrespective of stake First 10 points, Second 5, Third 3, Fourth 2 points:
- NORTHERN REGIONAL PACERS CHAMPIONSHIP
Pacers Final Fri, 26 April 2024 Alexandra Park. $40,000. Pacers Final 2700m Disc Hcp R50 & Faster. Max back mark 30m. To qualify for the Pacers Regional Championship Final a horse must have had at least (three starts for pacers) in the scheduled Country Championship Qualifying races. To be eligible to contest the Regional Pacers Final a horse must be rated at R85 or below at the time of their first start in a Regional Country Championship Qualifying race. Or, if rated higher than R85 when first contesting a qualifying race, dropped to a Rating of R85 or less prior to nominations closing for the last qualifying races for pacers. The Northern Regional Pacers Qualifying Championship dates will follow the dates & venues currently listed on the schedule for the Pacers Country Championship Qualifying Schedule for 2024 listed on the HRNZ Website. The qualifying points for pacers will follow the schedule as indicated in the 2024 Country Championship Conditions on the HRNZ Website.
