KIRKMAN - began awkwardly and shifted outwards marginally hampering an outside runner. Driver T Chmiel defended a breach of Rule 869(2) and the Whip and Rein Regulations in that he used his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion in the run home. After viewing the replays and hearing evidence from Stewards and Mr Chmiel the Adjudicative Committee upheld the charge and suspended Mr Chmiel's driver's licence from the conclusion of racing today up to and including 26 November 2023 (3 days).

BLUE ROCK DANCER - lay inwards passing the 500m striking track markers. Lay outwards when being shifted wider on the track passing the 200m and when being corrected crowded outside runners. Notwithstanding this driver B Hope was warned to exercise greater care when shifting ground. Mr Hope advised the removable deafeners were not activated due to having the field covered.

FIRST ROSE - shifted ground outwards rounding the final bend. Driver K Newman was warned for the manner in which he drove when allowing his runner to shift outwards.

FIRST ROSE - paced roughly when weakening from the 900m. When questioned regarding the performance of the mare driver K Newman could offer no explanation and was disappointed with the effort. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Stewards will follow up with connections in the coming days.

MY COPY - obliged to race wide throughout after being unable to secure the position outside the leader that was being held by MIKI SHAN racing down the back straight on the first occasion. Briefly locked wheels with FIRST ROSE near the 1050m. Weakened from the 600m.
