ALDEBARAN PIPPI - Stewards investigated a possible breach of the Push Out Rule near the 1350m when this runner appeared to race wider on the track when improving to the outside of MARIA THERESA. It was established that MARIA THERESA had shifted out into the running line prior to ALDEBARAN PIPPI covering its sulky wheel and no further action was deemed necessary.

Stewards lodged a protest against 2nd placing being awarded to this runner under Rule 870(3) and the Breaking Horses Regulation alleging the mare had broken in excess of 50m inside the final 200m. After viewing the replays Driver T Mitchell did not contest the protest and SHESGOLD was disqualified by Stewards.
