Special Conditions

  1. ONE NOM PER HORSE

    NOTE: A horse may only nominate for one race on the programme, the trainer has the right to transfer the horse if he / she wishes, and may advise the club at the time of nomination whether the horse is to be transferred or not.

  2. DUAL ACCEPTORS

    Selection Preference for this meeting, in the first instance, will be given to horses that are not already accepted into a race(s) at another meeting.

  3. LATE NOMINATIONS

    In the event Nominated are extended for any races or the meeting, selection preference will be given to those horses that Nominated at the original closing time. Except in the case of Non-Win races, where Field Selection Regulations take precedence or where specific race or series conditions are Programmed.

  4. ELIGIBILITY

    Any horse is eligible to nominate & accept for a race that has a higher Rating than it has. However, preference will be given in the first instance to horses that the race caters for in terms of Rating. Races Programmed with an 'R' rating will see preference given to 'R' rated horses over 'MR' rated horses.

  5. FIELD SELECTION

    Field Selection for this meeting will be conducted in line with the Handicapping Regulations for non-win or non-win front races. That being; first and second preference horses will be selected in the first instances and thereafter at club's discretion. All other races will be selected at the club's discretion or per the conditions attached to each Programmed race.

  6. SPLITTING FIELDS

    In the event any race or races are split on the Programme, unless specific in the individual race conditions, races will be split and selected at the club's discretion, with consideration given to Ratings in the first instance.

  7. DUNSTAN FEEDS ANZAC 18,000+ CHALLENGE

    1. The Dunstan Feeds ANZAC 18,000+ Challenge will be run over an intended five races, they are: Races 2, 3, 8, 9, 10. The drivers who make up the challenge are drivers Chris Alford, Greg Sugars, Ricky May & Maurice McKendry. 2. In those five specific races the contestants in the Dunstan Feeds ANZAC 18,000+ Challenge will be randomly drawn to drive the four highest rated acceptors in each race. In the event there is an incompatible number of highly rated horses, for example: three or five, club discretion will be used to determine the required three horses. 3. The drivers will be drawn in their respective races by the club at the completion of the acceptances for this meeting. 4. In the event of a scratching within the four specified top-rated horses, the next highest rated horse will have the scratched driver applied. In the event there is more than one horse on the next highest rating the club will determine the chosen horse. 5. Drivers will accrue points in direct competition against each other. The first officially placed driver will gain four (4) points, the second placed driver will gain three (3) points, the third placed driver two (2) points, the fourth placed driver will gain one (1) point. 6. In the event there is a tie for first place in the Dunstan Feeds ANZAC 18,000+ Challenge, the winner will be determined by count back. In the first instance to the driver with the most first placings, secondly the driver with the most second placings. Thirdly, the driver with the most third placings. If a tie still exists the driver with the highest worst finishing position will be declared the winner. 7. In the event one of the four specified drivers is unavailable for the meeting the Challenge will be abandoned. 8. In the event any circumstances arise that are not covered by these conditions, the Chairman of HRNZ will make a final determination.
