TREACHEROUS LOVE - driver R May defended a breach of Rule 869(3)(b) alleging he drove carelessly when shifting ground racing into the first bend when not sufficiently clear resulting in TREACHEROUS BABY and ANYTIME AT ALL being checked. After viewing the replays and hearing evidence from Stewards and R May the Adjudicative Committee upheld the charge and suspended Mr May's driver's licence from the conclusion of racing today up to and including 3 December 2023 (6 days).

RAKNRUIN - broke after 100m when contacting the sulky wheel of WEHAVTIME losing ground, with a trailing runner being checked. Driver B Barclay admitted a charge under Rule 869(3)(b) in that he drove carelessly in this incident. After viewing replays and considering submissions on penalty the Adjudicative Committee imposed a fine of $250. When questioned regarding the performance B Barclay advised the filly had travelled well until the final bend however had disappointed when asked for an effort.

RAKLOU - Trainer P Hunter advised Stewards on 13 October that the filly has been treated for a respiratory infection since last racing.

When questioned regarding the performance trainer/driver P Hunter advised the filly had to work hard through the middle stages after being forced to race wide on the track by inside runners, however he felt RAKLOU would derive considerable benefit from its first run back from a spell.
