Race 2 - BUY A WOODLANDS STUD WEANLING MOBILE PACE
Co-Trainer/Driver S Reid (TAKE THE MIKI) admitted a charge under Rule 864(2)(d) in that he failed to ensure the sulky seat was affixed so as to not come adrift which resulted in the seat becoming detached from the sulky near the 100m with Mr Reid then falling to the track. After hearing submissions on Penalty the Adjudicative Committee imposed a fine of $250. Mr Reid was also warned in relation to using his whip with more than a wrist only flicking motion in the run home.

Race 1   "WHAT THE HILL" AT WOODLANDS STUD HANDICAP TROT
MY HOPE - broke shortly after the start losing considerable ground. A warning was placed on the mare's barrier manners. Tired from the 600m.
LOVE AND FAITH - late scratching at 8.45am on veterinary advice.
KEYSTONE COMET - trainer T Hall advised that the horse had cast the near fore shoe approaching the 200m.
CYBER ATTACK - broke at the start losing all chance.
FLYING SCOTSMAN - shifted out marginally on straightening for the run home. Lay in under pressure late in the run home placing an inside runner in restricted room.
YUROK - tired from the 500m.
ALDEBARAN FLAME - slow early.
WINNERS TIME - placed in restricted room late in the run home when both an inside and outside runner shifted ground. Authorisation of placings were withheld until Stewards spoke to driver T Mitchell who advised that his chances had not been affected in this incident.
MR MUSCLE - lay inwards and struck markers approaching the 1200m. Shifted out under pressure late in the run home placing an outside runner in restricted room.
ALANA - trotted roughly over the concluding stages.
ISLA ELSIE - when questioned regarding the performance driver J Dunn reported he was disappointed with the effort and could offer no explanation.
Race 2   CROMBIE LOCKWOOD BLOODSTOCK MOBILE PACE
TASTE OF DIAMONDS - over-raced middle stages. Weakened in the run home.
FLETCH MAGUIRE - over-raced middle stages when outside the leader.
SYLVIA KAY - held up final turn and then throughout the run home when disappointed for a run to the inside of JONO B. Driver L Hollis advised that he had been unable to activate the sliding blinds and deafeners as a result.
JONO B - lay inwards and paced roughly rounding the final turn losing momentum.
PERFECT BET - paced roughly for several strides rounding the final turn.
COLONEL LINCOLN - paced roughly then broke in the score up and was well back from position at dispatch before trailing the field throughout. A warning was placed on the colt's barrier manners.
Race 3   JACOBSEN HEADSTONES TROT
TRUE STORY - broke shortly after the start and lost all chance.
SON OF A SUN - broke entering the first turn losing considerable ground. Connections advised that the gelding had cast the near fore shoe. Driver M McKendry was reminded of his obligations when starting from the unruly position.
HELSINGOR - lay inwards and broke when attempting to shift outwards near the 550m contacting the sulky wheel of TRIFOLIUM losing its chance. Stewards questioned driver S Abernethy regarding this and after considering Mr Abernethy's evidence placed a warning on the gelding's racing manners.
MONT BLANC - broke near the 250m losing ground before settling.
PRESIDENTS TOPSHOT - lay outwards over the concluding stages.
Race 4   FROG PROPERTY SOLUTIONS MOBILE PACE
EXECUTIVE BANNER - broke briefly early in the score up but was in position prior to the candy pole. Came together with SUPA DUPA LUCA as the start was effected and had to be steadied. Over-raced middle stages. Weakened in the run home.
MIDFREW LUCRE - late scratching on veterinary advice at 6.15pm.
SUPA DUPA LUCA - came together with EXECUTIVE BANNER as the start was effected and had to be steadied.
ABHISHEK - broke in the score up and was back from position at dispatch. A warning was placed on the gelding's barrier manners.
MANNY - raced wide without cover from the 1400m.
MERCURY RISING - raced wide with cover from the 1400m.
BARBAROSSA - driver A Poutama was warned for using his whip in a continuous manner in the run home.
Race 5   BRECKON FARMS 2022 NORTHERN TROTTING DERBY (MOB TROT)
THAT'S WHAT WE DO - broke near the 700m losing its chance.
WY FI - hampered entering the first turn by a breaking runner. Held up early rounding the final turn.
EL CONQUEROR - trotted roughly and was back from position at dispatch before breaking shortly after. A warning was placed on the gelding's barrier manners. Raced wide from the 1400m before weakening rounding the final turn.
MASTERLY - broke approaching the first turn settling at the rear.
MYSTIC MAX - broke near the 350m.
CON GRAZIA LOVE - broke entering the first turn losing considerable ground hampering WY FI.
HOT TO TROT - hampered late in the score up. Held up for a distance passing the 500m.
Race 6   PASCOES THE JEWELLERS HANDICAP TROT
SUPERFAST NINJA - over-raced early stages. Trotted roughly passing the 1400m.
LIAISON - obtained an inside run racing down the back straight the final time to the inside of the leader GAZ MAN before being steadied approaching the 300m and contacted track markers before conceding the position. Driver D Butcher was shown the replay and spoken to advisedly in relation to the manner in which he drove in this incident.
EMMA FROST - broke entering the first turn losing ground before settling.
GAZ MAN - raced wide early stages. Lay outwards racing down the back straight the final time then shifted wider on the track which presented an inside run to a trailing runner. Driver P Ferguson admitted a charge in that he used his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion in the run home. After viewing the replays and hearing submissions the Adjudicative Committee imposed a fine of $250.
PRESIDENTIAL JEWEL - hampered and broke entering the first turn losing ground before settling.
SPECIAL WAY - raced wide from the 1700m when unable to obtain a position in the running line before weakening on the final turn.
AFLYIN SPUR - over-raced middle stages
Race 7   REHARVEST 2022 ROWE CUP (STAND TROT)
The start was delayed briefly when gear on SUNDEES SON required attention.
TEMPORALE - lay inwards at various stages.
MATUA TANA - broke entering the first turn but soon settled. Broke passing the 300m losing its chance. A warning was placed on the gelding's racing manners.
ANDITOVER - weakened from the 500m.
KIMKAR DASH - slow over the early stages. Weakened from the 800m.
Race 8   2022 TRILLIAN TRUST AUCKLAND CUP (STAND PACE)
BETTOR TWIST - Co-trainers M Purdon & H Cullen were issued with a warning for presenting the mare to race in removable deafeners which were removed prior to the start. Broke at the start losing ground.
MACH DAN - over-raced middle stages. Weakened final turn.
KANGO - broke briefly at the start. Lay inwards and dislodged a track marker passing the 2800m.
SOUTH COAST ARDEN - shifted out under pressure on straightening for the run home. Driver B Mangos was advised that he would be expected to make a greater effort to keep his runner straight given similar circumstances in the future. Mr Mangos advised that the off side sulky tyre had deflated near the 600m.
Race 9   MAGNESS BENROW NZSS NORTHERN MARES CLASSIC (MOB PACE)
UNICO GEM - commenced to weaken near the 500m.
FOUR KISSES - over-raced middle stages.
CLAUDIA SCHIFFER - lay inwards and contacted track markers rounding the final turn. When questioned regarding the performance trainer/driver D Butcher stated that the mare had been required to work too hard to obtain the trailing position over the early stages on a fast tempo.
TENNESSEE HONEY - lay inwards and raced over several track markers rounding the final turn.
Race 10   NZB STANDARDBRED MOBILE PACE
HIGH POINT - over-raced when being restrained near the 1700m.
BETTOR GRUNTER - lay inwards and paced roughly for several strides at dispatch.
