Race 1   TROT NIGHT TV - SKY 83 HANDICAP TROT
There was a 2 minute delay to the start due to ERROL D requiring a sulky change. The start was then further delayed when several runners breasted the front tape after PRESIDENTIAL JEWEL was slow to turn into line on the 20m mark.
SAFRAKOVA - lay in approaching the 900m losing ground. Continued to lay in rounding the final turn before weakening in the run home.
HOT TO TROT - broke at the start losing all chance.
SUPERFAST NINJA - raced wide early stages.
LIAISON - held up rounding the final turn. Lay out in the run home and could not be driven out fully.
ERROL D - raced wide in the early stages. Broke approaching the 1500m losing all chance and was retired from the event.
BOHEMIAN RHAPSODY - weakened final stages after racing three wide without cover from the 800m.
Race 2   BUY A WOODLANDS STUD WEANLING MOBILE PACE
TE AMO - late scratching at 10.56am on veterinary advice.
TAKE THE MIKI - driver S Reid was dislodged from the sulky passing the 100m after the sulky seat became detached. St John personnel attended to Mr Reid before transporting him to hospital for further observation. A medical clearance is required before Mr Reid resumes driving. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a graze on the gelding's off hind. Stewards opened and adjourned an investigation into this incident and also in relation to Mr Reid's use of the whip in the run home.
EXECUTIVE BANNER - over-raced in the middle stages. When questioned regarding the performance Driver J Dunn advised that the gelding had choked down.
ENJOY ME - lay in and paced roughly losing ground near the 700m. Continued to lay in when attempting to improve wide before commencing to give ground passing the 400m. Was unable to avoid the dislodged Driver S Reid inside the 100m with Driver B Butcher being tipped from the sulky as a result. St John personnel attended Mr Butcher and he was stood down from his remaining drives with a medical clearance required before he resumes driving. A post-race veterinary examination revealed grazes on the mare's off fore fetlock and near stifle. When questioned regarding the performance Co-Trainer S Telfer advised it was the connections intention that the mare will be retired to stud.
The remainder of the programme was put back one race due to a replacement ambulance having to be called with Race 11 allocated a new starting time of 10.40pm.
Following this race the track was downgraded to Slushy with Trainers being instructed to affix mudguards to sulkies.
Co-Trainer/Driver S Reid (TAKE THE MIKI) admitted a charge under Rule 864(2)(d) in that he failed to ensure the sulky seat was affixed so as to not come adrift which resulted in the seat becoming detached from the sulky near the 100m with Mr Reid then falling to the track. After hearing submissions on Penalty the Adjudicative Committee imposed a fine of $250. Mr Reid was also warned in relation to using his whip with more than a wrist only flicking motion in the run home.
Race 3   RAY & BERYL WEAVER MEMORIAL TROT
CYBER ATTACK - slow in the early stages.
TRIXTON BELLE - trotted roughly in the early stages. Broke near the 1300m losing all chance. Broke again near 800m when trailing the field.
SHARE THE LOVE - lay in and trotted roughly for several strides passing the 800m.
NGAURUHOE - broke entering the first turn and galloped for a considerable distance losing ground. Broke again near the 500m losing all chance.
DEBBIE LEE GALLEON - broke near the 1800m and settled at the rear. Broke again passing the 600m losing ground.
SON OF A SUN - raced wide early stages.
Race 4   ALABAR WEANLING SALE 26 MAY MOBILE PACE
IMASHADOWPRINCESS - weakened leaving the final bend.
OHOKA CREED - raced wide in the early and middle stages before improving to race outside the leader near the 1500m. Hampered by a breaking runner near the 700m.
MIDFREW LUCRE - raced keenly through the middle stages. Hampered by a breaking runner near the 700m. Driver Z Butcher dropped his whip passing the 125m.
HESASIRTAINTY - raced greenly near the 1200m losing ground.
THE FISHERMAN - held up by a weakening runner early in the run home.
UPSIZE ME - lay in and broke near the 850m losing ground hampering trailing runners. Broke again passing the 400m but soon settled. Weakened in the run home.
Race 5   CELEBRATING DENISE DARBY'S 50TH BIRTHDAY HANDICAP TROT
UNTIL NOW - trotted roughly shortly after the start losing ground. Weakened final turn.
EMMA JOY - broke passing the 1300m losing considerable ground.
MY HOPE - broke at the start losing considerable ground before catching the field during the middle stages. Weakened from the 800m.
THE GOVERNATOR - broke near the 1100m when leading losing ground before settling. Authorisation of this runner's 3rd placing was withheld until it was confirmed that the gelding had complied with the Breaking Horses Regulation.
LOVE AND FAITH - broke near the 1900m losing ground and settled at the rear. Authorisation of this runner's 4th placing was withheld until it was confirmed that the mare had complied with the Breaking Horses Regulation.
DIAMANT BLEU - raced wide early stages.
BRO FAWKES S - hampered by a breaking runner near the 1050m.
ASTERIA LAVRA - late scratching at 10.06am on veterinary advice.
GREENBANK BETTY - lay in and broke near the 1300m losing all chance.
ISLA ELSIE - broke passing the 300m losing all chance.

TASTE OF DIAMONDS - lay out at various stages. Had to be steadied off the back of FOREVER A DANCER near the 1000m. Weakened in the run home.
OBSESSION - weakened in the run home.
QUEEN OF DIAMONDS - shifted out rounding the home turn and had to be corrected by Driver M Purdon.
Race 7   LONE STAR NZ SIRES STAKES TROTTERS CHAMPIONSHIP (MOB TROT)
HIGHGROVE - broke shortly after the start losing ground before settling. Broke again shortly after losing all chance.
THAT'S WHAT WE DO - broke passing the 300m losing all chance.
MYSTIC MAX - raced wide early stages before being restrained to the rear.
EL CONQUEROR - broke late in the score up losing considerable ground.
ITAINTNECESSARILYSO - broke in the score up losing ground but was in position at dispatch. Weakened passing the 500m.
Race 8   H R FISKEN & SONS ANZAC CUP (MOBILE TROT)
MIDNIGHT DASH - hampered briefly by a breaking runner near the 300m when having to be taken wider on the track.
KIMKAR DASH - broke passing the 800m losing ground and settled at the rear. Authorisation of this runner's 4th placing was withheld until it was confirmed that the mare had complied with the Breaking Horses Regulation.
MATUA TANA - broke at the start losing ground before settling at the rear. Broke again near the 1900m when being restrained off the back of KIMKAR DASH losing considerable ground. Over-raced badly when catching the field near the 1200m. Hampered by a breaking runner passing the 800m. Trotted roughly leaving the back straight the final time and broke near the 400m losing all chance.
YURI - hampered by a breaking runner passing the 800m.
Race 9   NZB STANDARDBRED 2022 WEANLING SALE: 26 MAY MOBILE PACE
MEETMEINSORRENTO - paced roughly and galloped passing the 1200m losing ground. Broke again approaching the 850m losing all chance.
CASHLODO FLYBYE - paced roughly for several strides near the 900m losing ground. Weakened leaving the final turn.
CYA DOIT - commenced to give ground passing the 1200m and was taken up the track before collapsing against the outside fence with the starting crew being immediately in attendance which enabled the race to continue. When examined by the on course veterinarian the gelding was found to be deceased and transported from the track by the Horse Ambulance. A post mortem will be conducted in the coming days. Driver J Stormont was unharmed in this incident.
BETTOR GRUNTER - raced lethargically approaching the 1600m when attempting to cross to the lead.
BROOKIES JAFFA - was strongly restrained for some distance racing down the back straight the first time in an attempt to take a trail.
MELANION - raced wide early and middle stages before improving to the lead passing the 1400m.
FERNLEIGH CASH - lost ground when hampered by CYA DOIT passing the 1200m before improving around to lead near the 700m. When questioned regarding the performance Co-Trainer S Telfer stated that the mid-race effort had taken its toll in the prevailing track conditions and that the gelding will be turned out for a spell.
MIMI E COCO - over-raced during the score up and over the early stages before being taken out to the three wide position and improved forward to sit parked near the 1300m.
ABOUT TURN - lost ground leaving the back straight the final time.
Race 10   ROY PURDON MEMORIAL (HANDICAP PACE)
BETTOR TWIST - broke at the start losing ground.
MACH DAN - co-trainers M Purdon & H Cullen were charged a $25 colour fee for failing to have the correct colours available. Broke briefly at the start.
SOUTH COAST ARDEN - reared prior to the barriers being released then broke losing ground. Lay in and raced over several track markers rounding the final turn. Placed on the unruly for future stands at the Trainer's request.
Race 11   AUCKLAND CO-OP TAXIS 300-3000 MOBILE PACE
STRENGTH AND HONOUR - Trainer/Driver B Mangos advised that the gelding had failed to handle the prevailing track conditions.
NEYMAR - broke approaching the 50m.
UNICO GEM - hampered near the 1700m when there was an easing of the pace. Over-raced middle stages when at the rear.
MO SZYSLAK - had to be restrained off the back of NEYMAR passing the 1700m when there was an easing of the pace. Lay in at various stages and in particular rounding the home turn.
