TREASURE TRAIL - out of position at the start. Junior Driver D van Til was issued a warning.
BELLISSIMO ACQUISTO - raced wide early.
MAN UNITED - paced roughly near the 300 metres when being forced wider on the track by an inside runner. When questioned regarding the performance Driver R May advised he had been unable to make ground when attempting to improve wide on the track due to the fast closing sectionals.
Trainer R Todd advised Stewards on 18 May that BUBBA SCRUB has been treated for a throat infection since last racing.

Race 2   PAUL RENWICK JOINERY HANDICAP TROT
TAKE AFTER ME - re-handicapped to 10 metres following its winning performance at the NZMTC meeting on 10 May 2022. Weakened final turn.
TEST THE BOUNDARIES - trotted roughly shortly after the start. Held up by a weakening runner final turn.
HAROLD SMITH - raced greenly when improving to the lead passing the 1200 metres and shifted up the track. Again raced greenly and lay outwards late in the run home.
EUROKASH - began awkwardly.
THE BLOSS - held up late in the run home.
SIOUX PRINCESS - broke near the 2000 metres losing all chance.
Race 3   SENZ - NEW ZEALAND 2YO TROTTING STAKES (MOBILE TROT)
THE FIERY COUNTESS - paced in the score up before breaking and losing ground. A warning was placed on the filly's barrier manners. Broke again near the 1400 metres after contacting the sulky wheel of PATRICK SWAYZE losing all chance. Driver A Clark admitted a charge under Rule 869(3)(b) in that he drove carelessly in this incident and after viewing the replays and hearing penalty submissions the Adjudicative Committee suspended Mr Clark's driver's licence from the conclusion of racing tonight up to and including 13 June 2022 (1 month).
MAXWELL EDISON - broke after 150 metres losing all chance.
HIGH ENERGY - shifted out late in the run home.
Race 4   NRM 'RESTRICTED' FREE-FOR-ALL MOBILE PACE
MIKEY MAGUIRE - Junior driver S Thornley (assisted by K Barron) was warned for using his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion in the run home.
WARLOCH - tended to lay in when placed under pressure in the run home.
DANCE TIME - when questioned regarding the improved performance Driver T Williams advised the gelding had been racing without luck in recent starts and had capitalised on being able to lead and set its own terms in front.
Race 5   HORNBY COLOURPLUS MOBILE PACE
DEJA BLUE - sustained a punctured sulky tyre approaching the 1100 metres when contacted by KOWHAI MAGIC.
KOWHAI MAGIC - contacted and punctured the sulky tyre of DEJA BLUE near the 1100 metres. Driver T Chmiel admitted a charge under Rule 869(3)(b) in that he drove carelessly in this incident. After viewing the replays and hearing penalty submissions the Adjudicative Committee suspended Mr Chmiel's driver's licence from the conclusion of racing on 15 May up to and including 20 May 2022 (2 days). Had to be steadied when weakening after an inside runner shifted ground outwards near the 150 metres.
FRANCO HOFFMAN - shifted out shortly after the start despite the efforts of Junior Driver W House and contacted the sulky wheel of REPUBLICAN PARTY. Held up early in the run home.
REPUBLICAN PARTY - sustained a punctured sulky tyre shortly after the start when contacted by FRANCO HOFFMAN and was retired from the event. An investigation was held into this incident and it was established that FRANCO HOFFMAN had shifted ground outwards simultaneously to REPUBLICAN PARTY laying in which resulted in the contact occurring. Blame could not be solely attributed to either driver or horse and no further action was deemed necessary.
KISS THE GIRLS - Driver R Close was spoken to advisedly for using his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion in the early stages. When questioned regarding the performance Mr Close stated that the early effort to secure the lead had taken its toll over the final stages.
FOLKLORE - held up final turn and early in the run home. Driver J Cox was warned for the manner in which he shifted ground outwards near the 150 metres crowding an outside runner.
SOUNDSOFCASH - paced roughly shortly after the start losing ground.
SUPERSTAR LEGEND - held up early final turn.
Race 6   AVON CITY FORD NZ WELCOME STAKES (MOBILE PACE)
COMMANDER BEN - over-raced early when being restrained towards the rear.
DON'T STOP DREAMING - raced greenly in the score up and was out of position at the candy pole despite the efforts of Driver M Purdon.
OK BOOMER - raced wide early. Lay outwards rounding the final turn.
Race 7   McMILLAN EQUINE FEEDS MOBILE TROT
LOVE N THE PORT - hung outwards shortly after the start and broke before shifting up the track abruptly despite the efforts of Driver M Williamson and lost all chance. A warning was placed on the gelding's barrier manners.
TWEEDLEDEE - out of position at the start despite the efforts of Driver S Ottley. A warning was placed on the gelding's barrier manners.
MAJESTIC LAVROS - broke passing the 200 metres.
Race 8   GARRARDS SIRES' STAKES MAGNIFIQUE MOBILE PACE
INVITATION ONLY - hung outwards in the early stages causing Driver S O'Reilly some difficulty. Placed in restricted room when CYRUS shifted into the trail approaching the first turn. Over-raced middle stages.
CYRUS - Driver M Purdon was warned for the manner in which he shifted ground approaching the first turn when improving into the trail which placed INVITATION ONLY in restricted room. Mr Purdon defended a charge under Rule 869(2) and the Whip and Rein Regulations alleging that he used his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion in the run home. After viewing the replays and hearing evidence from Stewards and Mr Purdon the Adjudicative Committee found the charge proved and Mr Purdon's driver's licence was suspended from the conclusion of racing on 20 May up to and including 2 June 2022 (4 days).
Race 9   HARAS des TROTTEURS HEATHER WILLIAMS MEMORIAL MOBILE TROT
MAJESTIC ROLLON - broke shortly after the start losing all chance. A warning was placed on the mare's barrier manners.
SAMANTHAS MOON - broke shortly after the start losing ground. A warning was placed on the mare's barrier manners. Trotted roughly from the 800 metres. Weakened final turn.
I DREAM OF JEANNIE - when questioned regarding the improved performance Trainer S Smolenski advised that the mare had been able to capitalise on an economical run after having little luck in recent starts.
TIME UP THE HILL - raced wide without cover from the 1100 metres. Trotted roughly before breaking near the 300 metres. Treated by the on-course veterinarian for a laceration to the left fore pastern following the race.
GOLD CHAIN - pre-race warmed. Raced wide early.
PEREGRINE - held up final turn and early in the run home.
MY MOMENT'S NOW - raced wide with cover from the 1100 metres. Hampered by a breaking runner near the 300 metres.
Race 10   FIRST DIRECT TAXIS MOBILE PACE
BIZZIE LOU - hampered near the 1300 metres. Again hampered near the 100 metres.
MITSI GAYNOR - hampered near the 1300 metres. Checked near the 100 metres and paced roughly. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a laceration to the near hind leg which was treated.
ARIELLA - over-raced middle stages. Choked down near the 1400 metres and was taken to the outside of the track before making heavy contact with the outside hedge. The mare was immediately attended to by the on-course Veterinarian and assisted by the crash crew. Driver M Williamson was unharmed in this incident. A post-race veterinary examination of ARIELLA revealed a laceration to the right fore tendon and was treated. Stood down pending a veterinary clearance and until the completion of one satisfactory trial. Stewards will follow up the recovery of the mare in the coming days.
THE RAGE - over-raced early and middle stages before being taken around to race outside the leader near the 1400 metres.
ROLLYOUROWN - raced wide with cover from the 1000 metres.
TIGER TAYLOR - late scratching at 11.05am on Veterinary advice.
RON MCKINLEY - held up early in the run home. Shifted outwards near the 100 metres checking MITSI GAYNOR with BIZZIE LOU being hampered. Driver R Close admitted a charge under Rule 869(3)(b) in that he drove carelessly in this incident. After viewing the replays and hearing penalty submissions the Adjudicative Committee suspended Mr Close's driver's licence from the conclusion of racing on 20 May up to and including 22 May 2022 (2 days).
SERIOUS MOONLITE - hung inwards throughout the run home.
ABSOLUTE DYNAMITE - hampered near the 1300 metres.
BETTERWITHBLING - hampered near the 1300 metres. Raced wide from the 1000 metres.
MIGHTY REACTOR - over-raced early and paced roughly. Continued to over-race through the middle stages. Held up early in the run home.
