THE FOX - over-raced early and middle stages.
MAJESTIC ROLLON - broke near the 1100 metres losing all chance.
STEEL DUST - broke briefly rounding the first bend when racing wide on the track. Broke again near the 300 metres.
THE FIERY COUNTESS - out of position at the start despite the efforts of driver A Clark. Weakened final bend.
NORTIE NORTIE - trotted roughly late in the run home when becoming awkwardly placed close to the sulky of PETRONELLI GEE.
Race 2   SPECTATORS BAR MOBILE PACE
HEAVEN ON HIGH - raced wide early before being restrained to the rear of the field.
ARIELLA - raced in restricted room near the 1800 metres. Held up late in the run home.
LUVSTRUCK - lay inwards and placed inside runner in restricted room near the 1800 metres.
SERIOUS MOONLITE - lay inwards throughout the run home.
BAILEYS DIAMOND - raced wide early. Over-raced middle stages. Weakened leaving the final bend.
THE RAGE - held up late in the run home. Driver B Butt reported he had not activated the sliding blinds in consequence.
Race 3   AVON CITY FORD HANDICAP TROT
BRIGHT GLOW - hung inwards near the 900 metres and struck a track marker which was dislodged. Held up final bend.
PRINCE TEKA - broke briefly at the start.
SIMONE LINDENNY - fractious prior to the start causing a delay. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare. Began awkwardly. Over-raced middle stages. Weakened on the final bend.
BREAK OUT - held up inside the final 100 metres.
BOYZ INVASION - broke briefly at the start. Held up early in the run home.
DESBOIS - locked wheels with ONLY ONE WAY which lay inwards near the 900 metres and broke briefly. Broke again passing the 700 metres.
HIDE N SPEAK - late scratching at 7.40am on veterinary advice.
TRIXTON TIME - pre-race warmed. Locked wheels with ONLY ONE WAY which lay inwards near the 1500 metres losing ground.
QUIK SHOT - hampered near the 1400 metres. When questioned regarding the performance driver B Orange advised he was disappointed with the performance and felt the gelding may be feeling the effects of recent racing.
ONLY ONE WAY - lay inwards slightly and locked wheels with TRIXTON TIME near the 1500 metres losing ground. Again lay inwards near the 900 metres when being hampered by the weakening MISSALYSSA resulting in the gelding locking wheels briefly with DESBOIS which broke. Driver M Hurrell was advised that in future he is to make a greater effort to give runners to his inside more room when improving wider of the track. When assessing this incident Stewards took into account the racing manners of ONLY ONE WAY and placed a warning on the racing record of the gelding.
REPEAT PAT - had to be steadied near the 1400 metres. Hampered by a breaking runner near the 900 metres.
MISSALYSSA - raced wide without cover from the 1400 metres. Weakened from the 700 metres. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the mare had suffered an atrial fibrillation. Stood down pending a veterinary clearance including an ECG following strenuous exercise prior to resuming.
Race 4   GRAPHITE DEVELOPMENTS LTD MOBILE PACE
ONEDIN MIKI - when spoken to regarding the performance driver O Thornley advised she was pleased with the performance after racing parked for the final lap and felt the gelding would derive considerable benefit from its first start back after a spell.
MABALENE - out of position at the candy pole and start. Driver S O'Reilly was issued a $100 Minor Infringement Notice. Lay inwards in the early stages of the run home.
Race 5   BODYGUARD HEALTH UNCUT GEMS MARES CLASSIC (MOBILE PACE)
BIZZIE LOU - paced roughly early in the score up.
REFINE - weakened final bend. Placed in restricted room briefly near the 350 metres.
DARLING ME - co-trainer A Telfer advised Stewards that the stable had precautionary blood tests taken from the mare in the lead up to tonight's race which showed no abnormalities.
BRAEVIEW KELLY - broke in the score up and was out of position at the start. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare. Lay outwards when shifting ground near the 350 metres briefly placing the weakening REFINE in restricted room.
Race 6   HYDROFLOW MOBILE PACE
TIFFS LITTLE SISTER - out of position at the start despite the efforts of driver J Cox.
JUSTIN FUN - the off side shaft broke near the 500 metres placing driver M Williamson in some difficulty. Stewards inspected the sulky which was in previously good condition and was referred to an approved repairer to undergo a full evaluation prior to being re-warranted.
FINAL COLLECT - out of position at the start despite the efforts of driver N Rasmussen. Raced wide early. Raced greenly leaving the final bend and shifted up the track.
BETTOR LOVER - out of position at the start despite the efforts of driver T Williams.
Race 7   BETAVET UNCUT GEMS GELDINGS & ENTIRES CLASSIC (MOBILE PACE)
ANYTHING GOES - lay outwards despite the efforts of driver M Williamson near the 150 metres hampering HEISENBERG which made contact with the wheel of ANYTHING GOES.
SERG BLANCO - held up early in the run home.
HENRY HUBERT - raced wide early. When questioned regarding the performance driver J Dunn could offer no tangible explanation and was disappointed with the effort. Stewards will follow up the recovery of the gelding with connections in the coming days.
HEISENBERG - over-raced middle stages. Hampered near the 150 metres and made contact with the sulky wheel of ANYTHING GOES which lay outwards.
SUGAR ME - when questioned regarding the performance driver S O'Reilly advised she was slightly disappointed with the effort despite the fast tempo throughout and having to race wide on the final bend in an attempt to improve her position. A post-race veterinary and endoscopic examination revealed the early signs of a respiratory infection. Stood down pending a veterinary clearance. Miss O'Reilly was spoken to advisedly for using her whip with her foot free of the sulky rest early in the run home.
Stable Representative J Dunn advised Stewards on 10 May that HENRY HUBERT has recovered well following this race and will continue with its current preparation.
Race 8   FAHEY FENCE HIRE (JUNIOR DRIVERS) MOBILE PACE
SARGENT BEST - junior driver M Hill was spoken to advisedly for the manner in which he used his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion early in the run home.
GREENBACK BOOGIE - over-raced middle stages.
KALI B - weakened final bend.
GET IT ON - briefly held up behind a weakening runner on the final bend.
Race 9   NZB STANDARDBRED UNCUT GEMS TROTTERS CLASSIC (HCP TROT)
BJ LINDENNY - broke near the 300 metres.
MY MOMENT'S NOW - broke near the 150 metres.
SIOUX PRINCESS - pre-race warmed. Broke at the start losing ground.
SMOKIN BANDAR - tangled away. Trotted roughly and lost ground near the 350 metres after making contact with the sulky wheel of BJ LINDENNY. Lay inwards and locked wheels with MIDNIGHT DASH near the 50 metres. Driver C Ferguson admitted driving carelessly when striking a wheel near the 350 metres and after hearing penalty submissions the Adjudicative Committee suspended his driver's licence from the conclusion of racing on 7 May up to and including 21 May 2022 (3 days).
GOLD CHAIN - driver B Butt was warned for half carting passing the 1700 metres. Mr Butt admitted a charge under Rule 869(2) and the Whip and Rein Regulations in that he used his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion in the run home. After hearing penalty submissions the Adjudicative Committee suspended his driver's licence from the conclusion of racing on 8 May up to and including 17 May 2022 (4 days).
MATUA TANA - pre-race warmed. Over-raced through the middle stages when leading. Broke near the 200 metres. Driver G O'Reilly advised the gelding had been striking the sulky wheel discs on several occasions.
MIDNIGHT DASH - locked wheels with SMOKIN BANDAR which lay inwards near the 50 metres.

MITSI GAYNOR - pre-race warmed.
SWAGGER MAN - driver D White reported that the hopple shorteners had failed to activate after becoming entangled.
