Race 1   CHRISTMAS AT THE RACEWAY TICKETS ON SALE NOW TROT
PALISADE - held up briefly rounding the final turn.
HIGHVIEW ROCKN ROLL- Driver K Tomlinson reported that the mare had lay in rounding the turns and in particular on the final bend.
EXPENSIVE CRUMPET - unable to hold the leader's back near the 2100m which enabled BREAK FREE to shift down to fill that position. Trotted roughly rounding the final turn.
LOVE AND FAITH - back from position when the start was declared but began safely. Driver M Teaz was warned to have her horse in position as required in the future. Weakened in the run home.
DEL SHANNON - a late scratching at 4.40pm on Vet's advice.
PRINCE ENVY - broke for several strides at the start.
Race 2   BLACK DOG FURNITURE MOBILE PACE
The start was delayed briefly due to MIKI MIKSTA having to return to the stabling area to enable a gear issue to rectified.
SOME GIRLS DONT - raced three wide early.
THE SPORTSMAN - held up final turn and early stages of the run home.
MIKI MIKSTA - reared and swung sideways in the initial stages of the score up and was back from position throughout the score up. A warning was placed on the gelding's barrier manners. Paced roughly for several strides near the 500m when being restrained off the back of PLAY BY EAR which had been shifted wider on the track.
PLAY BY EAR - Trainer M House was issued with a $50 Minor Infringement Notice for the late notification of blinds.
Race 3   DUNSTAN HORSEFEEDS MOBILE PACE
PACING HOPE - broke passing the 600m when being restrained off the back of HARRY KANE after there was an easing of the pace on the marker line. No individual horse or driver was deemed to be solely at fault and no further action was taken.
HARRY KANE - weakened in the run home. A post race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
TICK TOCK GO - late scratching at 1.20pm on Vet's advice.
RASANA - over-raced middle stages. Paced roughly when having to take evasive action to avoid the breaking PACING HOPE near the 550m and lost ground shortly after.
MR WONDERFUL - Driver D Butcher was cautioned for half-carting briefly entering the back straight on the first occasion.
LADY LA SALLE - inconvenienced briefly entering the back straight on the first occasion. Raced three wide from the 1600m before improving to the lead approaching the 1000m.
Race 4   BETAVET PREPARE MOBILE PACE
CHA CHA B - broke entering the first turn but soon settled. Raced three wide before breaking again passing the 1600m losing ground before being restrained to the rear. A warning was placed on the gelding's racing manners.
OPTICAL ILLUSION - held up final turn and early stages of the run home.
Race 5   LATHER UP FILLIES & MARES SPEED SERIES MOBILE PACE
UNICO GEM - Driver L Hibell was spoken to advisedly for dropping her right foot from the sulky footrest leaving the back straight the final time.
SHEZADEAL - raced three wide early. Weakened in the run home. When questioned regarding the performance Driver A Harrison advised that she was disappointed with the run and could offer no explanation. Stewards will follow up with Trainer A Donnelly in the coming days.
SKY DELIGHT - raced three wide early and middle stages.
Trainer A Donnelly advised Stewards on 2 December that SHEZADEAL has recovered well subsequent to its performance at Cambridge last week and after a brief freshener will continue with its current preparation.
Race 6   IKE UNSWORTH BAYLEYS HANDICAP TROT
SAFRAKOVA - commenced to weaken near the 600m.
RANDOM JUDE - broke near the 350m losing ground before settling. Authorisation of this runner's 4th placing was withheld until Stewards were satisfied that the mare had complied with the Breaking Horses Regulation. A post race veterinary examination revealed a small laceration to the near fore heel.
AGOSTINI - broke at the start losing all chance.
Race 7   O'CONNOR WARREN MOBILE PACE
WHO'S GOT CLASS - was back from position at dispatch despite the efforts of Driver J Crawford. A warning was placed on the filly's barrier manners. Gave ground from the 600m.
BERANI - when questioned regarding the improved performance Trainer/Driver T Hall advised that the colt had trialled well leading into the event and he was confident of a strong performance.
ABHISHEK - back from the unruly position in the latter stages of the score up. Broke near the 950m losing ground before settling. Broke again passing the 400m. A warning was placed on the gelding's racing manners.
Race 8   TOTE BURGER NOW OPEN FRI/SAT/SUN TROT
MARIA THERESA - broke at the 1850m losing ground before settling.
GET ON THE SAUCE - broke at the start settling at the rear. Broke entering the first turn losing ground before settling. Broke near the 1350m and trailed the field.
AEONIAN - broke briefly over the early stages. Hampered entering the first turn. Broke near the 1800m losing its considerable ground. A final warning was placed on the mare's racing manners.
SONSOFTHEMERCH - slow early stages. Broke approaching the winning post the first time. Hampered entering the first turn. Trotted roughly entering the back straight the first time and raced wide for some distance. Broke near the 900m and trailed the field. A final warning was placed on the gelding's racing manners.
LOLA - broke entering the first turn hampering trailing runners and lost ground before settling.
