ABOVE N BEYOND - Stewards questioned driver K Newman (assisted by J Dunn) regarding the manner he drove approaching the 2400 metres when restraining in the two wide line which allowed A BETTOR ACT to shift inwards. He added that after initially restraining A BETTOR ACT had shifted inwards across his front legs at the same time EASTWOOD ISABELLA improved to his inside so felt the better option was to continue to restrain instead of electing to push forward into a marginal run to hold A BETTOR ACT wider especially when G Smith (A BETTOR ACT) was well committed to his shift inwards.
