Race 4 - BLUE DO 23 SEPTEMBER. TICKETS ON SALE NOW MOBILE PACE
The admitted charge against Driver T Mitchell under Rule 303(2) was reconvened at tonight's meeting and after hearing penalty submissions the Adjudicative Committee imposed a $200 fine.
Mr Mitchell then elected to change his plea to admit the charge under Rule 869(3)(b) of careless driving causing interference. After hearing submissions on penalty the Adjudicative Committee suspended Mr Mitchell's driver's licence following the conclusion of racing on 30 September up to and including 1 October 2021 and in addition imposed a fine of $400.

Race 1   CHRISTMAS @ THE RACEWAY. TICKETS ON SALE NOW HCP TROT
MANCHESTER'S ECLIPSE - delayed the start after becoming fractious when called forward into line and sent to the outside Unruly position by the Starter. Slow to begin. This mare was subsequently stood down for standing starts until it trials satisfactorily on two occasions.
WYNBERG WATCH - slow to begin then broke losing its chance. A warning was placed on the gelding's barrier manners.
ALANA - broke late in the run home. Authorisation of this runner's 2nd placing was withheld until it was confirmed that the mare had not been lapped on by the 3rd placed THE LAST GAMBLE.
RANDOM JUDE - locked sulky stays with EXPENSIVE CRUMPET for the majority of the run home.
EXPENSIVE CRUMPET - locked sulky stays with RANDOM JUDE for the majority of the run home.
Driver P Ferguson was spoken to advisedly in relation to him proceeding onto the track to give assistance to MANCHESTER'S ECLIPSE prior to the start and reminded of his obligations in future.
Race 2   OKTOBERFEST TICKETS ON SALE NOW MOBILE PACE
KAPUROI LASS - raced greenly in the score up.
FLETCH MAGUIRE - lay in rounding the turns and in particular the final turn before losing ground in the early stages of the run home. A warning was placed on the gelding's racing manners.
Race 3   BLACK DOG FURNITURE MOBILE PACE
SUIDELIKE MAJOR - paced roughly passing the 50m and had to be steadied.
BAD MEDICINE - Driver A Harrison advised that the gelding cast a shoe during the running.
Race 4   DUNSTAN HORSEFEEDS MOBILE PACE
GRACELANDS ROSE - pulled hard in the score up. Continued to race fiercely early and middle stages before choking down passing the 1300m checking FOMO, which lost ground as a result, before veering down on to the infield and falling. Driver S McCaffrey was uninjured in this incident. A post race veterinary examination revealed no abnormality. The mare was subsequently stood down pending a satisfactory trial.
SCOTTISH POACHER - Driver N Chilcott was charged under Rule 869(3)(b) in that she drove carelessly entering the first turn resulting in interference to FOMO which paced roughly. The matter was adjourned sine die.
FOMO - checked and paced roughly near the 1900 when racing to the inside of SCOTTISH POACHER. Checked by GRACELANDS ROSE passing the 1300m losing ground.
Driver N Chilcott (SCOTTISH POACHER) admitted the adjourned charge of careless driving causing interference to FOMO entering the first turn. After hearing submissions on penalty the Adjudicative Committee imposed a fine of $250.00.
Race 5   IKE UNSWORTH BAYLEYS HANDICAP TROT
SAFRAKOVA - Driver L Chin admitted a charge under Rule 869(2) in that he used his whip with more than a wrist only flicking motion in the run home. After hearing submissions on penalty the Adjudicative Committee imposed a fine of $300.
DELSON - broke near the 130m when Driver D Ferguson activated the deafeners and lost its chance.
Race 6   BETAVET PREPARE MOBILE PACE
FERNLEIGH CASH - Driver D Butcher reported that he had been unable to activate the deafeners due to the release cord breaking. Mr Butcher further advised that he was satisfied with the performance after having raced without cover over the early and middle stages in what was the gelding's second race night start.
SHEZSOMETHINSPECIAL - over-raced early and middle stages before being taken forward to race outside the leader near the 1300m.
BETTERZIPPIT - over-raced middle stages. Held up throughout the home straight when unable to secure clear running.
Race 7   GAVELHOUSE.COM TROT
WINNERS TIME - broke at the start and settled at the rear. Held up late in the run home.
TRIFOLIUM - trotted roughly under pressure in the run home.
