MITSI GAYNOR - pre-race warmed. Briefly held up and paced roughly leaving the final bend. When spoken to regarding the performance driver B Orange advised that the filly was racing more seasoned and successful horses and had noted the increase in calibre of opposition. | |
BIG MAMA MORRIS - weakened final bend. When spoken to regarding the performance trainer/driver K Cameron advised the mare had worked hard in the early stages with the effort taking its toll. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a slow recovery. | |

ESPECIAL - hung inwards and paced roughly final bend and in the early stages of the run home. When questioned regarding the improved performance trainer M House advised that the horse had raced without luck in recent starts, had appreciated a drop in grade and had been able to capitalise on an economical run throughout. | |
