Race 1   SPECTATORS ICONIC KIWI ROAST MOBILE PACE
STELLA'S DELIGHT - late scratching at 9.50am due to weather related transport difficulties.
MAXIMILIAN - hung outwards in the score up and was out of position at the start. A warning was placed on the gelding's barrier record. Weakened from the 500 metres. Trainer/driver N Burton advised he will be making gear alterations prior to resuming.
OWHATANIGHT - paced roughly for a short distance on the bend near the 1600 metres.
Race 2   IRT - EXCELLENCE IN EQUINE AIRFREIGHT TROT
BOSS KENNY - began awkwardly. Over-raced middle stages. Had some difficulty obtaining clear racing room in the early stages of the run home.
TINTED STUART - late scratching at 10am due to weather related transport difficulties.
DREAMSINTHE MIST - held up early and middle stages of the run home.
MOMENT OF KAOS - held up throughout the run home. Driver J Young-Grant reported the gelding's deafeners were not released in consequence.
JESPER FAST - when spoken to regarding the performance trainer/driver R Holmes reported his runner had not been entirely comfortable in the prevailing track conditions.
EMMA LOUISE - mixed its gait in the opening stages and had to be restrained on several occasions by driver M Edmonds. Trotted roughly over the final stages.
MAJESTIC UPSTART - slow to begin.
SEE IT THRU - driver K Hadfield reported the gelding's deafeners had not released due to the cord becoming entangled.
Race 3   AVON CITY FORD MOBILE PACE
REGGIE GOLIGHTLY - raced greenly near the 200 metres and lay inwards having to be corrected.
THE TERRORFIER - late scratching at 9.50am due to weather related transport difficulties.
DR KANANGA - weakened approaching the 600 metres. A warning was placed on the gelding's racing performance.
MANHATTAN - steadied near the 1000 metres to avoid being taken three wide by ULTIMATE BIRD which was shifting away from the marker line causing a slight easing of the pace for trailing runners.
ULTIMATE BIRD - hung outwards rounding the final bend.
CAPTAIN CONFETTI - broke when being steadied passing the 1000 metres. When questioned regarding this trainer/driver M Jones explained the gelding had reacted poorly to inside horses shifting out and in his opinion did not have sufficient reason for galloping.
TWILIGHT BROMAC - checked and broke passing the 1000 metres with the gelding losing some ground.
SEARING LIGHT - raced greenly and hung inwards in the score up and was out of position at the start. A warning was placed on the filly's barrier record. Over-raced early stages when being restrained.
SMART SHADOW - was a considerable distance out of position throughout the entire score up and never made contact with the field with the mare then compounding from the 700 metres. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a poor recovery. An investigation was opened into driver J Simpson's handling of the mare throughout. A subsequent investigation was opened into Mr Simpson failing to attend this inquiry.
Race 4   MID-WINTER AT ADDINGTON PACE
PIECE OF GOLD - weakened from the 500 metres and then compounded over the final stages. Driver R Cameron reported the gelding had not been suited to the prevailing track conditions however he had still been disappointed with its effort. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
CHEEKYGRIN - hampered by another runner shortly after the start which had shifted inwards.
UNCHANGED MEMORY - tangled at the start and lost ground settling at the rear.
LIZZIE RICHTER - broke at the start losing considerable ground. Broke again near the 600 metres.
BUCKINGHAM - weakened near the 600 metres after racing parked throughout.
YANKEE JAY - late scratching at 10.45am due to weather related track conditions.
HEAVEN HELPUS - weakened from the 800 metres. When questioned regarding the performance trainer/driver G Smith advised he was disappointed with the filly's effort and it was his intention to have the horse examined by his veterinarian in the coming days. Stewards will follow up with Mr Smith.
THIS IS BETTOR - raced wide in the early stages.
PRESS PLAY - held up for some distance near the 500 metres when attempting to evade weakening runners.
Trainer G Smith advised Stewards on 2 June that HEAVEN HELPUS has been treated for muscle tie up following its performance at Addington on Sunday.
Race 5   GARRARDS FILLIES & MARES MOBILE PACE
OPPORTUNITY KNOX - held up final bend.
PAT MACH - weakened final bend. When spoken to regarding the filly's performance co-trainer/driver D White advised the filly had not been comfortable in the prevailing track conditions however notwithstanding this he was disappointed with the effort.
MACH'S ELIMINATOR - over-raced middle stages.
DOUBT I'M DREAMING - weakened from the 600 metres.
FIRST ROSE - over-raced early stages.
HEY TONIGHT - paced roughly in the early stages.
ROCKNROLL DIVA - held up final bend.
Race 6   LAMB & HAYWARD HANDICAP PACE
THE OPTIMIST - broke after 100 metres when the hopple shorteners were being released and continued on in a break for a considerable distance hampering a trailing runner. A warning was placed on the mare's barrier record.
TEDS LEGACY - broke at the start and lost ground.
MAYBE - broke when having to avoid a breaking runner after 100 metres.
CAESAR'S QUEST - driver L McKay was issued with a warning for using her whip with more than a wrist flicking motion in the home straight.
ROCKNTOMMY RULZ - tangled away. Held up early stages of the run home.
LULU LE MANS - late scratching at 6.15pm 29 May 2021 on Veterinary advice. Stood down pending a veterinary clearance.
SKY VALE - when spoken to regarding the mare's performance driver B Butt advised the horse had raced lethargically throughout and had not been comfortable in the prevailing track conditions.
Race 7   STORER MOTORS MOBILE PACE
BETTOR BEONTOIT - when spoken to regarding the gelding's performance driver B Orange reported the horse had not been suited by the longer distance of today's race.
UNICO GEM - paced roughly in the early stages and had to be steadied.
CONQUER ME - raced wide early stages.
Race 8   FAHEY FENCE HIRE TROT
SONOMA TYRON - late scratching at 9.50am due to weather related transport difficulties.
HARRY POTTER - broke near the 170 metres and continued on in a gallop through to the finishing line. Disqualified from 5th placing by the JCA.
MICHELLE - lay inwards and broke near the 1700 metres losing considerable ground. Broke again near the 500 metres.
SAMANTHAS MOON - raced wide until near the 1900 metres at which point the filly broke and lost considerable ground. Authorisation of 4th placing was withheld until Stewards confirmed the filly had complied with the Breaking Horses Regulation.
Race 9   FIRST DIRECT TAXIS MOBILE PACE
SENORITA MARGARITA - had some difficulty obtaining clear racing room in the early stages of the run home.
FROSTY RECEPTION - raced wide without cover from the 1000 metres.
AVEROSS RUSTLER - weakened near the 700 metres.
SMOOTH DEBATE - raced wide early stages.
SONGBIRD - R May is to be spoken to regarding using his whip free of the rein in the run home.
FANCY - had difficulty obtaining clear racing room until late in the run home.
BOSSMARO - over-raced middle stages.
Driver R May (SONGBIRD) was issued a warning for using his whip free of the rein in the middle stages of the run home.
