Co-Trainer C Dalgety advised Stewards on 19 May that SHARDS IN MANHATTAN has recovered well following its performance at Winton last week with Mr Dalgety adding that the filly may be better suited when driven with cover.

Race 1   WELCOME TO 'SILVERMOON LADIES' NIGHT' MOBILE PACE
ROCKET BOY(AUS) - over-raced middle stages.
MARKHAM EYRE - lay inwards racing into the first turn.
ARTATAC - raced wide early and middle stages. Weakened final bend.
TARTAN ROXY - broke briefly in the score up and was out of position at the start. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare. Driver N Williamson advised he would be recommending gear changes.
TOWN ECHO - held up by a weakening runner final bend.
YOROKOBI - raced wide from the 1200 metres and without cover from the 800 metres.
Trainer K Barron advised Stewards on 28 May that CHAL PATCH has been treated for a respiratory infection since its last start and been sent for a spell.
Race 2   GARRARD'S SIRES' STAKES SOPHOMORE CLASSIC (MOBILE PACE)
ALTA SENSATION - over-raced middle stages. Driver S O'Reilly reported she was unable to release the deafeners when the cord became entangled.
SAMHARA - raced wide without cover from the 700 metres.
Race 3   LONE STAR SIRES' STAKES 2YO TROT CHAMPIONSHIP (MOBILE TROT)
WY FI - trotted roughly prior to the start having to be steadied which caused the gelding to be slow in the early stages and got back as a result.
EMMA JOY - the required veterinary clearance was received. Weakened from the 600 metres. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a poor recovery. Stewards will follow up with connections in the coming days.
MISS YO - trotted roughly through the score up. Weakened final bend.
RAKERO BLAZE - broke in the score up losing all chance.
ELLARIA SAND - briefly locked wheels with MR LOVE leaving the final bend.
NORTIE NORTIE - broke in the early stages losing considerable ground.
MR LOVE - trotted roughly passing the 900 metres losing ground. Raced wide without cover from the 800 metres. Briefly locked wheels with ELLARIA SAND leaving the final bend. Trotted roughly in the home straight and was unable to be fully driven out.
KOWHAI SUNSET - hampered in the early stages.
HIGHGROVE - checked in the early stages of the score up by the galloping RAKERO BLAZE however was able to regain its position by the candy pole. Broke shortly after the start losing considerable ground. Over-raced final bend. Broke again near the 300 metres. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
TORO STRIDE - raced wide early stages.
Co-Trainer J Teaz advised Stewards on 27 May that EMMA JOY has been treated for dehydration following its performance at Addington last week. Mr Teaz added that blood tests taken today have revealed no abnormalities with the filly continuing with her Harness Jewels campaign.
Race 4   IRT - EXCELLENCE IN EQUINE AIRFREIGHT FFA MOBILE TROT
TIME IN A BOTTLE - lay inwards on the first bend near the 1500 metres and lost ground resulting in the mare losing its position trailing SPLASH COLA. Weakened final bend.
ONE MAJIC KENNY - broke in the score up losing considerable ground. The all clear was delayed when trainer R Dunn reviewed the films as to whether his gelding had been denied a fair start however the matter was taken no further other than to speak to Starter R Donnelly advisedly regarding the horses coming to the barrier arm in the correct order.
MAJESTIC LAVROS - broke shortly after the start losing considerable ground. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
Race 5   GARRARD'S SIRES' STAKES 2YO C & G PACE FINAL (MOBILE PACE)
MR IBIZA - paced roughly in the early stages of the run home and had to be steadied.
COSMIC MAJOR - raced wide early stages.
WILLOW BAY - raced wide throughout. Weakened final bend.
STRENGTH AND HONOUR - locked wheels with FRANCO MAC near the 500 metres for a short distance.
FRANCO MAC - locked wheels with STRENGTH AND HONOUR near the 500 metres for a short distance.
AKUTA - raced wide until near the 1200 metres when taken forward to race outside the leader.
Race 6   THE ELMWOOD TRADING CO. WINTER CUP (HANDICAP PACE)
LAVER - swung inwards at the start and broke losing considerable ground. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
SOUTH COAST ARDEN - driver N Rasmussen reported she did not activate the removable deafeners due to having the field covered.
Race 7   NZB STANDARDBRED HARNESS MILLION 1 - 3YO FINAL (MOBILE TROT)
A false start was declared when both OUTAMYWAY and FRANCO JORIK hung and locked wheels in the score up resulting in FRANCO JORIK galloping and losing considerable ground.
SALVO - over-raced middle stages.
FRANCO JORIK - broke as the re-start was effected losing all chance. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
SON OF PATRICK - broke passing the 800 metres losing all chance.
REGAL ATTIRE - underwent a veterinary examination prior to the re-start and was cleared to start.
LEAF STRIDE - trotted roughly in the later stages of the score up of the re-start. Hung outwards throughout the run home and shifted up the track.
Race 8   THE BREEDERS NEW ZEALAND PACING OAKS (MOBILE PACE)
BETTOR TALK ART - when questioned regarding the hopple shorteners not being released on the filly driver R Close explained that on several occasions in the early and middle stages he had attempted to activate them to no avail due to the cord becoming entangled.
DARLING ME - late scratching at 1.15pm on veterinary advice.
WITH GRACE - weakened final bend.
OFF N GONE - over-raced early and middle stages.
LA ROSA - driver S Ottley admitted a breach of Rule 869(2) and the Whip and Rein Regulation in that she used her whip with more than a wrist flicking motion in the early stages of the home straight. After viewing the films and hearing penalty submissions the JCA suspended her licence from the conclusion of racing on 23 May 2021 up to and including 5 June 2021 (6 days).

STAG PARTY - when questioned regarding the performance driver T Williams advised he was disappointed with the effort and could offer no explanation. Trainer H Cullen reported that in his opinion the colt may have failed to handle the rise in class from recent racing.
TEAGAN BANNER - lay outwards under pressure in the final straight. When questioned regarding the performance driver B Orange advised he was disappointed with the effort. Stewards will follow up with connections in the coming days.
THE FALCON - raced wide early stages.
CARDINAL SIN - over-raced middle stages.
ITALIAN LAD - raced wide early stages.
MANJIMUP - held up early and middle stages of the home straight.
AMERICAN SNIPER - had some difficulty obtaining clear racing room in the early and middle stages of the run home.
MIGHTY LOOEE - raced wide early stages.
Trainer K Barron advised Stewards on 28 May that both TEAGAN BANNER and BETTOR GRUNTER have been treated for a respiratory infection following this race and sent for a spell.

LOVE N THE PORT - trainer P Williamson was issued a $100 Minor Infringement Notice after stable runners LOVE N THE PORT and SPRINGBANK MASON were presented with the incorrect saddlecloth numbers. Broke passing the 200 metres.
SHOW ME THE GRAY - raced wide early stages.
CHIEF OF STAFF - raced wide early stages. Trotted roughly for a distance passing the 1400 metres.
VALLEY STAR - hampered by a breaking runner near the 100 metres.
ANDOVERLOV - held up final bend.
ANDY HALL - pre-race warmed. Trotted roughly in the score up and was out of position at the start. Broke in the early stages. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
SPRINGBANK MASON - broke approaching the first bend losing considerable ground.
SIOUX PRINCESS - had some difficulty obtaining clear racing room in the early and middle stages of the home straight.
