Race 1   SPECTATORS NOW OPEN SUNDAYS! (AMATEUR DRIVERS) MOBILE PACE
LYDIA - out of position at the start. Driver T Sissons was issued with a warning.
AUCHTERCAIRN - lay inwards throughout the run home. Driver M McIntyre was warned for using her whip with more than a wrist flicking motion in the home straight.
PROVISEUR - paced roughly in the home straight.
FLAMBOYANT - had difficulty obtaining clear racing room in the home straight.
WEE RING THE CHANGES - late scratching at 9.45am on veterinary advice. Stood down pending a veterinary clearance.
MARTIN JOHN - weakened leaving the final bend. When spoken to regarding the performance driver G Bull advised the horse had worked hard in the early stages to obtain the lead with the effort taking its toll on the gelding being able to finish the race off in a competitive manner.
WOLFENSTEIN - paced roughly in the score up. Raced wide early stages.
TO RI CAITLIN - over-raced in the score up and became awkwardly placed to the inside of LYDIA for a short distance. Broke shortly after the start when attempting to shift ground outwards losing all chance. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare.
PETE'S DASH - driver C Negus was spoken to advisedly for loose reining in the early stages and for using her whip with more than a wrist flicking motion in the middle stages of the run home.
ULTIMATE SASSENACH - driver N Chalmers was spoken to and advised to keep both hands on the reins when urging his runner in the home straight.

EMMA'S GIRL - weakened final bend.
DANCEMYSTER - weakened from the 600 metres.
ROCKNIZZY RULZ - hung outwards leaving the final bend and shifted up the track despite the efforts of driver R Close.
LUMINITE - lay inwards throughout the run home.
GLASSY WEBB - lay inwards final bend and in the run home. Had difficulty obtaining clear racing room in the middle stages of the home straight. Driver J Morrison was spoken to advisedly for using his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion in the home straight.
Race 3   MCMILLAN EQUINE FEEDS MOBILE PACE
MYRCELLA - underwent a pre-race veterinary examination and was cleared to start. Held up leaving the final bend.
WOODLEA DIEGO - when spoken to regarding the performance driver J Morrison reported the gelding had failed to finish the race off as expected after working hard in the early stages to obtain the front.
MAGICAL MATTY - driver S Tomlinson was warned for using her whip with more than a wrist flicking motion in the home straight.
IT'S ME - the off side spreader broke and fell to the track near the 1300 metres. This gear was inspected and found to be in previously good condition.
DALNESS ARIZONA - raced wide without cover from the 800 metres.
MOTORING MAJOR - held up middle stages of the run home.
LILAC CHANGE - raced wide early stages. Weakened final bend.
CHA CHA B - when questioned regarding the improved performance the connections advised the gelding had appreciated the drop back in class from recent racing.
Race 4   GARRARDS YOUNG AT HEART MOBILE PACE
PRESIDENT PAT - hung outwards and broke near the 1500 metres hampering a trailing runner and lost all chance. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding. Trainer N Burton advised the gelding would be sent for a spell.
WESTBURN BLISS - held up final bend.
BONNIE BOY - weakened final bend. When spoken to regarding the performance both co-trainer J Best and driver R Close advised the gelding which was having its first start back for a considerable period of time had been unsuited to the distance of the race however expected the horse would derive benefit from the run.
RIPSNORTER - weakened from the 900 metres. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Stood down pending one satisfactory trial.
OLDE OAK EMMA - raced wide early stages.
CAESAR'S QUEST - hampered by a weakening runner near the 800 metres.
ONE DIRECTION - broke racing into the first bend losing all chance and was retired from the race. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to be lame in the left hind leg. Stood down pending a veterinary clearance.
ALEXY - over-raced early and middle stages. Hampered by a breaking runner near the 1500 metres.
SHARDAN SUZIE - hung inwards in the score up and was out of position at the start despite the efforts of driver C McDowell losing all chance. Stood down to complete one satisfactory mobile trial.
Trainer M House advised Stewards that RIPSNORTER had bled following this race with the gelding being stood down for the mandatory 30 days. A veterinary clearance including the results of an endoscopic examination prior to a satisfactory trial would also be required prior to RIPSNORTER resuming.
Race 5   HRS CONSTRUCTION TROT
AWAPUNI - broke at the start losing all chance.
COUNT EYRE - tangled away. Hampered by a breaking runner on the first bend. Over-raced middle stages. Broke passing the 400 metres and continued on in a break.
TRIXTON TIME - pre-race warmed. Trotted roughly in the early stages. Over-raced middle stages.
SONOMA TYRON - broke rounding the first bend losing ground and hampering trailing runners.
TRES MAGNIFIQUE - hampered by a breaking runner on the first bend.
CODY BANNER - trotted roughly in the early stages and broke after 150 metres losing considerable ground.
GO MARG - weakened from the 900 metres. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the mare to have suffered an atrial fibrillation. Stood down pending a veterinary clearance including the results of an ECG.
MICHELLE - broke shortly after the start losing considerable ground.
SOUTH PARK - hampered by a breaking runner in the early stages.
OUR PEGASUS PEARL - broke near the 900 metres losing all chance.
MAKE MY SUNDON - weakened final bend.
LISTEN EASY - when spoken to regarding the improved performance trainer A Edge advised the mare had been freshened since racing at Oamaru on 28 March. He added the horse had trialed well recently but had broken at the start after failing to handle the track conditions at Ashburton earlier this month. He further added that the horse had been working well in the lead up to today's race and was not surprised by the performance.
Race 6   MID-WINTER AT ADDINGTON (JUNIOR DRIVERS) MOBILE PACE
HONOUR SCROLL - out of position at the start despite the efforts of driver G Thornley. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare. Hampered by a weakening runner final bend.
THE OPTIMIST - broke shortly after the start losing all chance. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare.
BAILEYS DIAMOND - held up by a weakening runner passing the 700 metres.
DALNESS FIRST - raced wide early stages. Weakened final bend. When questioned regarding the performance driver B Hope advised the mare had raced greenly on several occasions and would be recommending gear changes prior to resuming.
ANNIE RICHTER - hampered and broke briefly after a slight easing of the pace near the 1100 metres. Driver K Newman was spoken to and advised to break up his use of the whip with alternative actions. When questioned regarding the improved performance trainer T Chmiel advised the mare had appreciated a drop in class today and had been working well leading up to the event.
BOARDING CALL - broke in the score up losing ground. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare. Paced roughly on the final bend.
GYPSY - hung outwards leaving the final bend and in the early stages of the run home. Briefly came together with OLIVE COOK near the 200 metres.
TAKEMYBREATHAWAY - weakened near the 600 metres after improving wide in the middle stages.
OLIVE COOK - hampered after a slight easing of the pace near the 1100 metres and had to be steadied. Lay inwards in the early stages of the run home and briefly came together with GYPSY.
Race 7   FIRST DIRECT TAXIS MOBILE PACE
LENNOX BROMAC - weakened over the concluding stages. Driver R Close reported he dropped his whip near the 1100 metres. When spoken to regarding the performance Mr Close advised the gelding had worked hard in the early stages to maintain the lead with the effort taking its toll on the gelding to finish the race off in a competitive manner.
MIGHTY REACTOR - over-raced middle stages.
FOUR STARZZZ SHIRAZ - held up leaving the final bend.
HANDSOME HARRY - paced roughly near the 600 metres when being shifted wider on the track by an inside runner.
PRECIOUS SARA - hung inwards final bend. When spoken to regarding the performance both driver J Dunn and trainer W Robertson reported the mare had failed to back up from its last start on Sunday with Mr Robertson advising the mare would be sent for a spell.
REFINE - weakened final bend. Driver B Cusdin will be spoken to regarding the manner in which he used his whip in the home straight.
DELIGHTFUL GLORIA - trainer S Allen was warned for not having the correct colours available.
TOMBELINA - weakened final bend.
BETTOR BEONTOIT - when spoken to regarding the improved performance the connections expressed surprise with the gelding's effort but noted that the horse had benefitted from an economical run throughout. Driver S Ottley will be spoken to in the coming days regarding loose reining in the home straight.
Driver B Cusdin (REFINE) was warned for using his whip when out of contention.
