Trainer B Williamson advised Stewards on 8 May that following its disappointing performance ONE TREE HILL had been treated for a lung infection.
Invercargill HRC - Sunday, 2nd May 2021
Race 2 - WAIKIWI TAVERN MOBILE PACE
Trainer B Gray advised Stewards on 8 May that JACCKA OPA had recovered well following its disappointing performance and would continue on with the current campaign. Mr Gray added the gelding had become agitated in the float en-route to Ascot Park last week and this may have been a contributing factor.
Race 4 - MCMILLAN EQUINE FEEDS MOBILE PACE
Co-trainer R Wilson advised Stewards on 6 May that ROBYNS SHADOW has been sent for a spell.
Race 8 - MACCA LODGE/NEVELE R STUD SOUTHLAND OAKS FINAL (MOB PACE)
Trainer S McRae advised Stewards that BELMONT DIVA has been treated for a high white cell count after its performance at Invercargill last week with Mr McRae adding that the filly will do its future racing in Australia.

Race 1   CENTREPOINT & SOUTH CITY LIQUORLAND TROT
JASMINE JACCKA - Trainer B Gray was issued a Minor Infringement Notice and fined $100 when presenting this mare to race without the notified Blinds. Broke after 100 metres losing all chance.
TEASE MY TARTAN - broke at the start.
TINTED STUART - held up by a tiring runner rounding the final bend.
ABACARDI HAZEL - raced wide into the first bend. Broke passing the 1700 metres losing considerable ground. Again broke passing the 300 metres.
TAHIR TROUBLE - weakened rounding the final bend. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormalities.
LATINA HALL - lay inwards rounding the final bend. Driver J Morrison reported the mare had lay inwards on various occasions during the running.
EILISH HALL - raced wide in the early stages until being restrained to obtain cover near the 1600 metres. Trotted roughly on various occasions during the running. Cleared from the Unruly for future standing start engagements.
Race 2   HOMESTEAD MOBILE PACE
LINCOLN MOMENT - over-raced in the early stages.
VON ART - hung inwards when racing wide into the first bend then continued to race wide until reaching the parked position near the 1600 metres. When asked to comment on the performance Trainer/Driver M Williamson advised the mare had worked hard through the early and middle stages and raced ungenerously throughout. M Williamson further advised he would be making gear changes prior to VON ART racing next.
CLIFTON TACTIC - Driver A Milne was issued with a warning when using his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion in the home straight.
Race 3   WAIKIWI TAVERN JUNIOR DRIVERS MOBILE PACE
CALICO HILL - shifted inwards racing into the first bend placing an inside runner in tight quarters. Driver T Dewe assisted by B Williamson admitted a breach of careless driving at this stage of the race. After viewing replays and hearing submissions on penalty the Judicial Committee imposed a suspension of Mr Dewe's licence to drive from the 16th May up to and including the 27th May (2 days) Lay inwards leaving the final bend. T Dewe was also issued with a warning when using his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion in the home straight.
JAFFIE J - lay outwards in the score-up. Placed in tight quarters by an outside runner racing into the first bend and paced roughly for a few strides in consequence. Driver M Hill reported he did not release the removable deafeners due to the cord becoming entangled. M Hill was issued with a warning when using his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion in the home straight.
KERALA STAR - slightly out of position at the start due to being placed in tight quarters late in the score-up.
AMERICAN MAC - over-raced in the middle stages. Surged forward in the middle stages in an unsuccessful attempt to gain the lead then over-raced when in the parked position.
Race 4   LONE STAR CAFE & BAR HANDICAP TROT
CABELLA NOIR - fractious prior to the start.
ZONED SCARLETT - weakened from the 500 metres.
STEVE - broke at the start losing ground. Again broke passing the 600 metres when forced wider on the track losing all chance. When spoken to regarding this Driver B Orange advised the mare had failed to handle being shifted outwards.
MISS BAMBOOCHA - displayed poor barrier manners and delayed the start as a result.
HARRY H - held up by a tiring runner passing the 500 metres.
KIWITRIX - pre-race warmed. Broke after 150 metres and again on several occasions during the running.
Race 5   SPEIGHTS ALE HOUSE FILLIES & MARES MOBILE PACE
CAUTIOUS GALLEON - broke racing into the first bend hampering trailing runners. A warning was placed on the racing record of the mare.
VERA SPECIAL - hampered racing into the first bend. Lay inwards on the bends.
SOUTHERN STARR - hampered racing into the first bend.
TOM WASN'T - hampered racing into the first bend.
IDEAL B B - hampered racing into the first bend.
SUPERFAST - hampered racing into the first bend.
DIDSHEDOIT - lay inwards late in the score-up and was out of position at the start. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the filly. Hampered racing into the first bend losing ground. Raced greenly until catching the body of the field near the 1400 metres.
Race 6   MAD BUTCHER HAPPY 77th BIRTHDAY MOBILE PACE
BEAUDIENE HUSTLER - held up throughout the home straight with Driver E Barron reporting that due to being held up she did not activate the sliding blinds or release the removable deafeners. E Barron also advised that wherever possible in future they would restrict the gelding to racing on larger tracks.
MELTON MAFIA - Driver G Lee was issued with a warning when using his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion in the home straight.
SANTANNA MACH - over-raced throughout.
YANKEE SHARD - held up in the early and middle stages of the home straight with Driver T Dewe reporting that due to this he did not release the removable deafeners.
DODGETHEBULLET - broke passing the 900 metres. Stood down to complete one satisfactory trial prior to racing next.
Race 7   ASCOT PARK HOTEL TROT
MAKE MY DAY - slow to begin. Broke over the concluding stages.
SPURS OF WAR - broke passing the 300 metres.
SVELT - breached the barrier strand causing a delay to the start. Held up in the early stages of the run home.
IT'S SUMMERTIME - over-raced in the middle stages.
TOP POCKET CHANCE - paced at the start losing ground. Authorisation of 3rd placing was withheld until the Stewards were satisfied the gelding had complied with the Breaking Horses Regulation.
MISS JESSICA - held up in the early and middle stages of the home straight.
TOLKIEN - Driver K Larsen reported he did not release the removable deafeners due to having the field covered.
MATAI JETSTAR - slow to begin. Hung inwards near the 2200 metres.
PALISADE - raced wide in the early stages. Cleared from the Unruly for future standing start engagements.
RUBY SEDDON - held up rounding the final bend and in the early and middle stages of the home straight.
Race 8   NORTHERN TAVERN MOBILE PACE
MISS AUCKLAND - paced roughly when forced wider on the track near the 700 metres and briefly locked wheels with STONEYROYD.
STONEYROYD - briefly held up by a tiring runner near the 750 metres. Briefly locked wheels with MISS AUCKLAND near the 700 metres when shifting out to avoid tiring runner.
FRANCO JUNE - raced wide in the early stages. Lay inwards on the final bend.
THE HORNET - raced wide in the early stages until reaching the parked position near the 1500 metres. Weakened from the 750 metres. When asked to comment on the performance Driver B Orange could offer no tangible explanation. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormalities. A warning was placed on the racing performance of the gelding.
ART COURAGE - over-raced in the middle stages. When asked to comment on the improved performance stable representative T Dewe advised the mare was suited by the drop back in class today and had received an economical trip in a race run to suit.
BELLE'S BOY - broke briefly in the score-up and was out of position at the start. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
Race 9   NEWFIELD SPORTS BAR MOBILE PACE
ARLO MAGUIRE - over-raced in the middle stages.
BONNIE PRINCE LOUIS - raced wide until reaching the parked position near the 1600 metres. Weakened rounding the final bend.
FATHER QUINN - out of position at the start despite the efforts of Driver S Ottley. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
BATTLE AXE - out of position at the start despite the efforts of Driver M Hill. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
WONTHAVTIME - held up in the early stages of the run home.
THE OTHER BROTHER - raced wide rounding the final bend.
