Race 1 - WOODLANDS STUD TROT
Driver G Smith defended a charge issued under Rule 868(2) in that he failed to take all reasonable and permissible measures to ensure KD HAWK was given full opportunity to win or obtain the best possible placing through his lack of vigour in the home straight. After viewing the films and hearing evidence from Mr Smith and Stewards, the JCA found the charge proved and after hearing submissions on penalty suspended Mr Smith's driver's licence from the conclusion of racing tonight up to and including 5 April 2021 (4 days).

Trainer G Smith advised Stewards on 25 March that ADITI will undergo a wind operation prior to resuming.

Race 3 - COCA-COLA MOBILE PACE
Trainer K Barron advised Stewards on 26 March that CHEVRON ART was suffering from dehydration following its performance at Addington last week.
Race 12 - FIRST DIRECT TAXIS MOBILE PACE
Trainer K Townley advised Stewards on 26 March that blood tests taken from FIRE FOX revealed no abnormalities. Mr Townley added that the gelding has worked well this week and will resume tonight with the addition of an Anti Choke Device to its gear.

Race 3 - PROBUILD ROLLESTON ITM MOBILE PACE
Stewards questioned driver R Holmes (FINE BY ME) regarding an incident approaching the first bend which caused trailing runners to be checked. Mr Holmes explained that after beginning well from an outside barrier his runner had hung inwards after 200 metres resulting in his mare becoming awkwardly placed close to the sulky of PROP ROCK and lost ground quickly resulting in trailing runners being checked. After considering the matter, Stewards placed a warning on the racing record of the mare.

Race 1   IRT. YOUR HORSE. OUR PASSION. MOBILE TROT
GLOBAL FLIGHT - hampered by an easing of the pace racing into the first bend. Broke near the 1600 metres. Stood down to complete one satisfactory trial.
THAT'S THE STORY - driver K Tomlinson (assisted by M Williamson) was issued with a warning for the abrupt manner she eased the pace racing into the first bend hampering trailing runners.
SODS LAW - raced wide early stages.
LUMINOSITY - raced wide early stages. Had some difficulty obtaining clear racing room in the final straight.
SHANDON BELLS - broke in the score up losing all chance. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare. A post-race veterinary examination revealed lameness in the left front leg. Stood down pending a veterinary clearance.
KD HAWK - hampered by an easing of the pace racing into the first bend.
SUNNIVUE PHILEAH - over-raced on the final bend. Broke passing the 200 metres after becoming awkwardly placed close to the sulky of THAT'S THE STORY which was being restrained to avoid a weakening runner.
OUTAMYWAY - raced wide throughout despite the efforts of driver C DeFilippi to take his colt forward. Trotted roughly and lay outwards in the final straight. When spoken to regarding the performance Mr DeFilippi reported the horse to have raced lethargically throughout with the connections advising the colt had done so on previous occasions.
Race 2   FAHEY FENCE HIRE PACE
LOYALIST - had to be steadied approaching the 400 metres when briefly placed in restricted room. Held up for clear racing room early and middle stages of the run home. Struck pylons before locking wheels with BETTOR GRUNTER late in the run home when attempting to improve in the passing lane. Driver B Hope (assisted by C Thornley) was warned for attempting a run with insufficient room.
RADIOACTIVE JAFFA - broke at the start losing considerable ground. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Placed on the unruly for future standing starts at the request of the connections.
FIVE STAR GENERAL - briefly crowded at the start. Broke shortly after the start losing ground.
EMMA'S BOY - broke at the start.
JAKE - fractious prior to the start and was not able to properly address the barrier causing a delay. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
BETTOR GRUNTER - locked wheels with LOYALIST over the final stages when under pressure.
FIRST CLASS - weakened near the 450 metres. When spoken to regarding the performance driver T Williams advised he was disappointed and could only advise the gelding being fresh up since New Years Eve may have contributed. Trainer H Cullen was unable to provide any explanation for the performance. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Stewards will follow up with connections in the coming days.
LAST OF THE MOHICANS - hampered by a breaking runner at the start.
KISS THE GIRLS - over-raced middle stages.
Stable representative T Williams advised Stewards on 31 March that FIRST CLASS has returned a clear ECG and will continue with its current preparation.
Race 3   NEVELE R FILLIES SERIES No. 43 (HEAT 4) MOBILE PACE
LA ROSA - a false start was declared when LA ROSA broke in the score up checking LIFES A BEACH. Driver S Ottley elected to remain in her barrier position for the restart. Placed on the unruly for future mobile starts. Stewards lodged a charge under Rule 869(3)(f) alleging that S Ottley drove improperly when failing to take her runner clear of the field in the score up which resulted in a false start being declared. Miss Ottley defended the charge and after viewing the films and hearing evidence from Stewards, Miss Ottley and trainer M Jones, the JCA found the charge proved and imposed a fine of $600.
DREAM ON ME - raced wide early stages.
BIZZIE LOU - held up early stages of the run home.
TIMES ARE A CHANGIN - weakened near the 600 metres.
Race 4   PUBLICA - BRANDS, WEBSITES, APPS MOBILE PACE
WHO MADE WHO - travelled keenly throughout when in front.
STORM - when spoken to regarding the performance trainer P Kerr advised he was very disappointed with the mare's effort and he will have blood tests taken. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Stewards will follow up with Mr Kerr in the coming days.
MOSSMAN - there was a delay to the start when repairs were required to the entire's saddle. Broke early in the score up after the saddle terret broke, taking no part in the race and was immediately returned to the stabling area. Declared a non-runner by Stewards under Rule 213(1)(g).
Trainer P Kerr advised Stewards on 31 March that blood tests taken from STORM revealed no abnormalities. Mr Kerr added that as a result of the mare getting down on her bumpers at her last start he would be making alterations to her shoeing prior to her next engagement.
Race 5   LAMB & HAYWARD TROTTERS CLASSIC (HANDICAP TROT)
The start was delayed due to HUMBLE LADD and MUSCLE MOUNTAIN locking wheels when turning in to address the barrier.
SMOKEY MAC - broke at the start.
MIDNIGHT DASH - held up early stages of the run home.
PRES THE BELLE - broke at the start losing all chance.
ONE APOLLO - broke at the start losing all chance.
HUMBLE LADD - trotted roughly throughout the home straight.
HEAVYWEIGHT HERO - briefly hampered by a breaking runner at the start. When questioned regarding the performance trainer B Butt advised he was very disappointed with the effort. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a poor recovery. Stewards will follow up with connections in the coming days.
SUNDEES SON - when spoken to regarding the geldings performance trainer R Dunn explained his horse had been unsuited to the uneven tempo set in the middle stages and that the horse, which was fresh up from 31 December, had blown out over the final stages. He added that he expected his runner would derive considerable benefit from this evenings run.
Trainer B Butt advised Stewards on 31 March that HEAVYWEIGHT HERO is suffering from a virus and will be sent for a spell.
Race 6   'WHAT THE HILL' NEW ZEALAND TROTTING OAKS (MOBILE TROT))
ALDEBARAN FLOSS - driver C DeFilippi admitted using his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion in the home straight and after penalty submissions the JCA suspended his licence from the conclusion of racing today up to and including 11 April 2021 (5 days).
LOVE ROSE - broke shortly after the start. A warning was placed on the filly's barrier record.
THAT'S ENTERTAINMENT - trotted roughly in the early stages. Weakened final bend.
WANNA PLAY WITH ME - trotted roughly in the home straight.
ILLEGAL ALIEN - weakened final bend.
BOHEMIAN RHAPSODY - out of position at the start despite the efforts of driver T Herlihy. A warning was placed on the filly's barrier record.
Race 7   LEEFIELD STATION WINES FREE-FOR-ALL MOBILE PACE
WATCH ME NOW - weakened from the 500 metres. When questioned regarding the performance trainer S Dolan reported the mare was fresh up for some time and after considering the strong tempo throughout was not disappointed with the performance. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a poor recovery. Stewards will follow up with connections in the coming days.
SELF ASSURED - held up in the early stages of the run home. Driver M Purdon was spoken to advisedly for using his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion in the early stages of the run home.
Trainer S Dolan advised Stewards on 31 March that WATCH ME NOW was found to be suffering from a low grade respiratory infection and will return to the trials prior to resuming.
Race 8   VERO 3 YEAR OLD FLYING STAKES (MOBILE PACE)
ROCK LEGEND - shifted inwards on the final bend forcing YOROKOBI to race over track markers. An enquiry was opened and adjourned into this incident. Had difficulty obtaining clear racing room throughout the early and middle stages of the run home.
ARDEN'S ACE - trainer R Todd was warned for presenting ARDEN'S ACE with blinds which had not been notified.
IT'S ALL ABOUT FAITH - raced keenly middle stages. Lay inwards on the final bend and made contact with several track markers. Continued to lay inwards under pressure in the final straight. When spoken to regarding the performance driver M Purdon reported the colt over-racing had impacted upon its ability to remain competitive in the final stages. Trainer H Cullen reported that he had been disappointed with the effort. Stewards will follow up with connections in the coming days.
RAGAZZO MACH - weakened leaving the final bend. When spoken to regarding the performance driver N Williamson reported the horse had over-raced in the middle stages and he would be making gear changes prior to resuming.
CORRAVALLY STAR - held up for clear racing room in the home straight.
GOT YOU COVERED - held up throughout the run home. Driver R May reported he did not activate the removable gear in consequence.
YOROKOBI - raced inside several track markers on the final bend when racing to the inside of ROCK LEGEND (N Rasmussen) and in doing so gained an advantage to which it was not entitled. A protest was lodged against the horses 2nd placing under Rule 869(7B). After viewing the films, hearing evidence from driver R Close and trainer R Todd, driver N Rasmussen and Stewards, the Judicial Committee dismissed the protest after it was established YOROKOBI had been dictated over track markers by ROCK LEGEND. Again raced over track markers with 100 metres remaining when pressured inwards by ROCK LEGEND.
Stable representative T Williams advised Stewards on 31 March that IT'S ALL ABOUT FAITH has recovered well following its performance last week and will continue with its current preparation.
Driver N Rasmussen (ROCK LEGEND) admitted a charge of careless driving in that she shifted inwards on the final bend forcing YOROKOBI over track markers. After hearing penalty submissions the JCA suspended her licence from the conclusion of racing on 9 April 2021 up to and including 18 April 2021 (3 days).
Race 9   HYDROFLOW HANDICAP TROT
The start was delayed five minutes due to the protest in the previous race.
KAHRESS - broke briefly at the start. Broke again after 150 metres losing ground.
TIME IN A BOTTLE - hampered by a breaking runner after 150 metres.
PHOEBE ONYX - broke at the start losing all chance.
THE BLOSS - broke after 150 metres losing all chance and checked another runner. A warning was placed on the mare's racing record.
CALL THIS FUN - broke after 100 metres losing all chance.
MONRIKA - trotted roughly in the early stages. Lay in leaving the final bend contacting several track markers.
MAJESTIC CHICK - held up early stages of the run home.
B D YASOTHON - broke at the start losing all chance.
OVERZEALOUS - over-raced middle stages. Held up late in the run home.
REBEL KIBBYBONES - hampered by a breaking runner after 150 metres. Raced wide in the early stages.
ANDY HALL - checked and broke after 150 metres losing all chance.
Race 10   PI & GJ KENNARD BLOODSTOCK MOBILE PACE
IFYOUSAYSO - paced roughly in the early stages and had to be steadied.
TANGO TARA - held up late in the run home. Driver J Curtin was spoken to advisedly for using his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion in the home straight.
BELMONT MAJOR - driver J Dickie will be spoken to regarding using his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion in the home straight.
Race 11   FIRST DIRECT TAXIS MOBILE PACE
SCOTLYNN BEACH BOY - over-raced near the 1000 metres.
FRANCO STEFAN - when spoken to regarding the performance driver B Orange reported the horse had travelled well until near the 600 metres at which point it failed to respond to his urgings. Trainer K Barron also expressed disappointment with the gelding's effort. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the horse to be recovering slowly. Stewards will follow up the recovery of the gelding in the coming days.
PASSION AND POWER - raced wide early stages before being restrained to the rear of the field near the 1500 metres. Held up for the majority of the run home.
ROCKNTOMMY RULZ - over-raced when being restrained to the rear of the field in the early stages. Continued to over-race through the middle stages.
Trainer K Barron advised Stewards on 31 March that FRANCO STEFAN is being treated for a respiratory infection.
