BRANDY AND DRY - slow away.
ELLA OF MOT - broke near the 350 metres.
INQUIZITIVE MAN - tangled away. Hampered by a breaking runner after 150 metres losing ground.
CHEEKY MONKEY - hampered by a breaking runner after 150 metres. Broke after 300 metres losing ground. A warning was placed on the racing manners record of the mare.
MUZZ - Stewards will speak to driver M Edmonds in the coming days for using his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion in the final straight.
GOOSE HEALY - trotted roughly in the early stages losing ground.
THE FUTURE - broke near the 150 metres. Stewards lodged a Protest against 3rd placing being awarded to the mare under Rule 870(3) and the Breaking Horses Regulation alleging that the horse broke in excess of 50 metres in the final 200 metres. After viewing replays and hearing from Driver T Chmiel and Stewards the JCA dismissed the Protest.
ROYAL STUART - broke after 150 metres hampering trailing runners.
AIGUILLE - trotted roughly final bend and broke passing the 200 metres
WISHING CRYSTAL - broke after 300 metres.
SHEZA MIGHTY MONARCH - broke after racing over the crossing near the 1750 metres. Broke again near the 1000 metres.
Race 2   GRAHAM CONSULTING PACE
MEGAROCK - hung outwards throughout the run home.
MAXIMILIAN - broke at the start. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Hampered after a slight easing of the pace near the 1200 metres. Junior Driver K Newman (assisted by T Williams) admitted a breach of Rule 869(3)(b) in that he drove carelessly near the 600 metres striking the sulky wheel of BLITZEM BROMAC which punctured the tyre and was fined $200 by the JCA.
PIECE OF GOLD - driver R Cameron was warned for using his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion.
HE'S TOUGH - driver M Williamson reported that the gelding had paced roughly throughout and he will be recommending gear changes for upcoming races.
JOURNO - when spoken to regarding the performance the connections advised the horse had been unsuited to racing parked.
ADHIKA - broke briefly at the start. Hampered after a slight easing of the pace near the 1200 metres.
DANCEMYSTER - hampered after a slight easing of the pace near the 1200 metres.
BLITZEM BROMAC - tangled away. Hampered after a slight easing of the pace near the 1200 metres. Sustained a punctured sulky tyre near the 600 metres with the tube wrapping around the axle of the wheel.
Race 3   PROBUILD ROLLESTON ITM MOBILE PACE
RUBY'S A DELIGHT - authorisation of 1st placing was withheld until the connections of the 2nd placed ADHARA had viewed a replay of the run home to determine whether the mare had her chances affected over the final stages. After viewing the replay the connections elected not to proceed with the matter.
PROP ROCK - authorisation of 3rd placing was withheld until Stewards spoke to driver M Williamson (GYPSY) placed 4th, to determine whether he had sufficient grounds to lodge a Protest when being hampered after 200 metres. After viewing the replays Mr Williamson elected to not proceed with the matter.
UNCHANGED MEMORY - hampered after 200 metres. Held up early and middle stages of the home straight.
MALDITO - hampered after 200 metres.
GYPSY - hampered after 200 metres.
JOHNNY NEVITS - acting on the advice of the on-course Veterinarian Stewards spoke with trainer C Jones regarding their intention to scratch the gelding due to soreness in the off front leg after examination. Mr Jones subsequently filed a Request for a Ruling disputing the Stewards decision, and after consideration of the evidence from the Stewards, Mr Jones and the on-course Veterinarian Ms Williamson, the JCA declared JOHNNY NEVITS to be a late scratching at 12.45 pm. A veterinary clearance is required prior to the gelding resuming. Trainer C Jones defended a charge under Rule 863 that he attempted to start an unsound horse in a race with the matter being adjourned to a later date.
ASHES OF DESIRE - trainer M Smolenski was issued a warning for being late to arrive on course. Out of position at the start. Driver M Smolenski was issued with a warning. Mr Smolenski was also issued a warning for loose reining in the home straight.
FINE BY ME - Stewards will speak to Driver R Holmes in the coming days about the manner in which he drove after 200 metres.
ADHARA - had some difficulty obtaining a clear passage in the run home. Paced roughly late in the run home and broke over the concluding stages. Authorisation of 2nd place was withheld until it was confirmed the mare had complied with the Breaking Horses Regulation.
THE ARTFUL DODGER - checked and broke after 200 metres with trailing runners being hampered and lost all chance.
ALI X - hampered after 200 metres.
KING ARTHUR - hampered after 200 metres. Raced wide until reaching the parked position near the 1500 metres.
DALNESS FIRST - hampered after 200 metres.
Race 4   ENTERPRISE RECRUITMENT PACE
CAMLEIGH ROSE - held up over the concluding stages of the run home.
CHARLIE'S ACE - fractious prior to the start causing a delay. Broke at the start. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare.
CHEEKYGRIN - backed away prior to the start causing a further delay. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare.
SEAPRIS - paced roughly and broke after 200 metres losing ground. A warning was placed on the racing record of the filly.
IRON WOMAN - held up middle stages of the run home
FASCINATE - hampered at the start and broke.
TAUMATA VC - hampered and broke briefly at the start.
IDEAL GRACE - fractious prior to the start and reared on several occasions. Reared as the start was effected and swung inwards losing ground. A warning was placed on the barrier record of filly.
Race 5   DUVAUCHELLE HOTEL/CHALLENGE LINCOLN/MARK TWEEDY MOB PACE
BETTOR BEONTOIT - broke early in the score up but managed to recover its position by the start. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
VINCENT VAN GONE - raced wide early stages.
PRESIDENT PAT - paced roughly rounding the final bend.
HELLO ADELE - raced wide early stages.
RAFA NOVAK - held up early stages of the run home.
PRECIOUS SARA - held up for the majority of the home straight.
MR ASIA - broke in the score up and was out of position at the start. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
WICKENHEISER - paced roughly in the home straight when under pressure. When spoken to regarding the performance Driver J Dunn said the mare had over raced throughout. A post race Veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
HONOUR SCROLL - Stewards cleared the mare from the Unruly for future mobile starts.
Race 6   WAIHORA RFC TROT
SALLY LINDENNY - broke on the final bend when leading losing all chance.
LINE A LOVE - hampered by a breaking runner leaving the final bend. Held up in the middle stages of the run home.
PRINCE RANIER - trotted roughly in the early stages and had to be steadied. Hampered by a breaking runner leaving the final bend.
SUPERFAST GORSEY - broke at the start. Hampered by a breaking runner near the 250 metres.
LA REINA DEL SUR - paced away before being restrained to its correct gait. A warning was placed on the racing record of the filly. Driver T Williams was issued with a warning to make a greater effort to attempt to return his runner to its correct gait at the earliest opportunity. Briefly hampered near the 200 metres.
ROGIE FALLS - hampered by a breaking runner leaving the final bend. Driver S McNally was warned to exercise greater care when shifting ground near the 200 metres which briefly hampered an outside runner.
GREENBANK BETTY - broke near the 250 metres. Stood down to trial satisfactorily on one occasion.
PALISADE - broke at the start losing all chance.
Race 7   BPC CAR SALES HANDICAP PACE
MONGOLIAN CONQUEROR - hung outwards racing into the first bend and locked wheels with HOMEBUSH LAD for a short distance. Held up early stages of the run home.
NO NUKES SKIPPER - over-raced middle stages.
HOMEBUSH LAD - briefly locked wheels with MONGOLIAN CONQUEROR for a short distance racing into the first bend. Over-raced early stages when being restrained to obtain cover. Held up early and middle stages of the home straight. Paced roughly over the concluding stages.
TERROR MARIA - broke at the start.
ANNIE RICHTER - broke at the start. Driver T Chmiel defended a charge of using his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion in the home straight. After considering all submissions the JCA found the charge proven and imposed a fine of $200.
A DELIGHTFUL ACT - broke shortly after the start losing all chance. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare.
Race 8   NORJO MOTORCYCLES PACE
PINE CONE - swung outwards as the start was effected checking an outside runner before breaking. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
BETTOR BELIEVE IT - checked by an inside runner and broke as the start was effected losing all chance.
TERRIER - broke briefly at the start. Driver R Close reported that the gelding had hung outwards throughout the run home.
KRYSTAL DELIGHT - broke at the start.
TAS GIRL BROMAC - late scratching at 11am on Veterinary advice. Stood down pending a veterinary clearance.
KHAKI NUI - began awkwardly.
CABALLE BEACH - broke briefly at the start. Broke near the 1000 metres losing some ground.
NOT REALLY BLONDE - held up early and middle stages of the run home. Driver R Cameron reported that one hopple shortener had become entangled around a carrier strap after activation.
THE DIVA - driver J Dunn was warned for using his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion in the home straight.
JEREMY WELLS - hampered by a breaking runner at the start.
MONGOLIAN MARSHAL - began awkwardly. Over-raced middle stages.
Race 9   LARRY & MURRAY HAMILTON / MORRISON SADDLERY MOBILE PACE
ROCKNSNAP - hampered near the 1300 metres after an easing of the pace. Checked by a breaking runner rounding the final bend.
HITTHEROADJACK - checked by a breaking runner rounding the final bend. Driver B Hope was warned for the manner he drove when leading near the 1300 metres after easing the pace resulting in trailing runners being hampered.
MAKWALA - broke as the start was effected hampering a trailing runner. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare.
KEY REACTOR - hampered near the 1300 metres after an easing of the pace. Checked by a breaking runner rounding the final bend. Driver O Thornley reported that a sulky tyre deflated during the running.
PAUL'S VERDICT - raced wide early stages.
SENSE OF OCCASION - hampered near the 1300 metres after an easing of the pace. Driver A Cameron was warned for using her whip with more than a wrist flicking motion in the home straight.
LE POLE DANCER - driver G Thornley was warned for using her whip with more than a wrist flicking motion in the home straight.
JIMMY ARMA - hampered by a breaking runner as the start was effected. Broke passing the 400 metres when leading checking trailing runners. Again broke passing the 200 metres. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding.
Race 10   HOI POLLOI HAIR DESIGN TROT
CALL THIS FUN - began awkwardly.
ALVIRA HEST - broke near the 1800 metres hampering trailing runners and losing all chance.
FRANCO JOSIAH - hampered by a breaking runner after 200 metres. Held up early and middle stages of the home straight.
BRIGHT GLOW - hampered by a breaking runner after 200 metres. Driver I Cameron was spoken to advisedly for loose reining in the run home.
BK DAWN - hampered by a breaking runner after 200 metres.
FOREIGNER - trotted roughly final bend losing ground.
MILLIONDOLLARMONKEY - trainer B Hill reported that the mare had its hocks injected since last racing. Hung inwards and trotted roughly throughout the run home and was unable to be fully driven out.
BK DAWN - hampered by a breaking runner after 200 metres.
Race 11   NEVILLE MCNEE MOBILE PACE
DUFFY HOLLOW - paced roughly over the concluding stages.
ARCHMAN - broke in the score up losing all chance. Authorisation of placings was withheld until Driver K Newman had an opportunity to review the score up in relation to whether his horse had been denied a fair start when being crowded in the score up. After reviewing the replays Stewards acting under Rule 213(1)(j) deemed the horse a non-runner. Stewards spoke with Starter P Lamb regarding this incident. Mr Lamb explained that in his opinion the horse had not suffered sufficient interference to warrant calling a False Start and so allowed the start.
PERFECT CUT - broke in the score up but was in position at the start. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Paced roughly in the early stages.
NO TIME LIKE NOW - paced roughly rounding the final bend. Driver S Tomlinson reported that the colt had paced roughly on several occasions.
