BOHEMIAN RHAPSODY - broke at the start losing ground before settling. Held up early final turn.
LIAISON - broke passing the 400 metres and failed to settle.
KRISTOFFERSON - trainer J Dickie was issued with a $50 minor infringement notice for the late notification of the addition of blinds. Slow early.

Race 2   WOODLANDS STUD NORTHERN DERBY PRELUDE MOB PACE
IT'S ALL ABOUT FAITH - when questioned regarding his decision to surrender the lead near the 1200 metres driver T Williams stated that he had been content to take a trail at this time simply due to the speed with which KRUG had improved. Mr Williams was further queried regarding the manner in which he drove at the entrance to the final straight where he advised that he had initially attempted to utilise the passing lane however then had to shift outwards off the back of KRUG to obtain clear running which had cost him some ground.
Race 3   SCHWEPPES MOBILE PACE
WAVETHEBILL - raced keenly middle stages. Weakened in the run home.
HAPPY PLACE - raced keenly middle stages.
Race 4   CHARLES ROBERTS (N.I.S.B.A) STAKES MOBILE PACE
PLUTONIUM LADY - lay inwards throughout. Shifted inwards through the final straight when placed under pressure by driver M Jones which caused MIMI E COCO and NEED YOU NOW to be checked over the final stages. M Jones admitted a breach of Rule 869(3)(b) in that he drove carelessly by allowing his horse to shift inwards without sufficient corrective action. After hearing submissions on penalty the JCA suspended his licence from the conclusion of racing on the 27th February up to and including the 12th March (5 days).
NEED YOU NOW - raced three wide early before being restrained to the rear. Crowded over the final stages and had to be steadied. Stewards delayed the All Clear until they had spoken to Driver J Dunn in relation to any interference suffered over the final stages. Stewards further questioned driver J Dunn regarding the tactics he adopted near the 450 metres when he shifted inwards off the back of ADIEU FLIRT to attempt to improve along the marker line. Mr Dunn stated that after having restrained early he was reluctant to improve wide due to ON A ROLL racing in the parked position who he felt was unlikely to surrender that position. He then elected to shift down approaching the 450 metres rather than attempt to make ground wide on what was a strong tempo but had lost ground and momentum when locking sulky stays with the weakening ON A ROLL, who had hung inwards near the 250 metres. After considering his explanation and the interference sustained over the final stages Stewards accepted his comments.
MIMI E COCO - B Butcher was issued with a warning for failing to maintain a straight course in the early stages of the run home. Crowded over the final stages and had to be steadied.
Race 5   PETER BRECKON MEMORIAL CADUCEUS CLUB STAKES 3YOF MOB PACE
ENJOY ME - over-raced in the early and middle stages. When spoken to regarding the horses performance driver B Butcher explained the horse was fresh up tonight from the 31st of December and during that time sustained a training injury causing it to miss a planned lead up race. He added that despite trialing well in the past week expected the horse to derive benefit from the race tonight.
LA ROSA - driver M Jones was issued with a warning for using his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion.
OFF N GONE - when spoken to regarding the filly's performance driver J Dunn explained he had to use the horse in the middle stages to take up a handy position and then she had lay inwards early in the run home leading to him shifting ground down the track. Mr Dunn added that he had been satisfied with her first run right handed.
SHOW ME HEAVEN - lay in and contacted track markers rounding the final turn when weakening.
Race 6   SIMS PACIFIC METALS NORTHERN TROTTING STAKES F&M HCP TROT
EXPENSIVE CRUMPET - hampered briefly near the 150 metres.
LISA MARIE P - struggled to maintain its position within the field inside the 1100 metres and then commenced to weaken near the 700 metres being distanced over the final stages. A post race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. A warning was placed on the mare's race performance.
THE BIG BIRD - switched to a pace passing the 200 metres losing its chance.
MONKEY SELFIE - slow to begin.
KIMKAR DASH - held up final turn and early stages of the run home.
AS FREE AS AIR - broke shortly after the start losing its chance.

TARTAN ROBYN - M McKendry was issued with a warning for using his whip free of the rein soon after the start.
SUPERBASS - briefly held up rounding the final turn. When questioned regarding the gelding's performance driver D Butcher stated that he was surprised with the tote support his gelding had attracted and that he was not able to offer any explanation for the run. A post race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalites.
J BEE - had to be steadied when contacting a track marker approaching the first turn.
