Trainer S Dolan advised Stewards on 10 February that blood tests taken from AMORE VITA following its performance at Addington last Friday revealed that the filly was suffering from muscle tie-up. Mr Dolan added that in consequence to this AMORE VITA will have a change of feed and workload prior to resuming. |

Driver A Lethaby was questioned regarding this incident where she advised she had been having difficulty steering her gelding throughout and it had not responded in the final straight despite her prompting. The connections advised that they suspected the horse had displaced its palate however a veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormalities. RYDGEMONT SON - slow to begin due to trotting roughly and got a considerable distance back as a result. Despite the efforts of driver K Tomlinson the gelding lost its trailing position following MISSALYSSA near the 1000 metres. Trotted roughly passing the 600 metres. When spoken to regarding the performance K Tomlinson advised the gelding had to work too hard in the early stages and was unable to be competitive after adding to its 20 metre handicap . |
