JESPER FAST - fractious prior to the start. Briefly crowded after 100 metres.
MONARO MAKO - late scratching at 7.20am on Veterinary advice. Stood down pending a Veterinary clearance.
GREENBANK BETTY - broke racing into the first bend over the crossing. Hung outwards throughout the run home and shifted up the track despite the efforts of driver T Williams. Mr Williams reported he did not activate the removable deafeners due to having the field covered.
MUCHACHA BONITA - weakened on the final bend.
OUR PEGASUS PEARL - broke at the start losing all chance.
RANDOM JUDE - fractious prior to the start causing a delay. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare. Broke racing into the first bend. Broke again near the 500 metres. Authorisation of fourth placing was withheld until Stewards were satisfied the mare had complied with the Breaking Horses Regulation.
LUCKY LEGS - hung outwards rounding the final bend.
FAR MORE ZEALOUS - raced wide in the early stages. Hung inwards near the 1000 metres and struck several track markers.
ACTION PACKED - broke at the start losing all chance and was retired from the race. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.

TWILIGHT BROMAC - when spoken to regarding the performance driver B Orange advised that he could offer no excuses and was disappointed with the effort.
ALTA REDEEMER - paced roughly at various stages in the running and was unable to be fully driven out in the home straight. Driver J Dunn reported he did not activate the hopple shorteners as a consequence. Mr Dunn added he would be making adjustments to the gelding's hopple length prior to the second day.
BEST TRIO - paced roughly through the early stages. Broke near the 1000 metres checking trailing runners losing ground. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding.
DANCEMYSTER - severely checked and broke near the 1000 metres losing all chance.
CRISTIANO BUCCINI - severely checked near the 1000 metres and broke losing all chance.
PEMBROOK TILLY - checked near the 1000 metres. Over-raced through the middle stages.
BEEPS - held up in the early stages of the run home.
PRESIDENT PAT - checked near the 1000 metres. Held up in the early stages of the run home.

MELANDO CHIEF - hung inwards passing the 900 metres striking track markers.
PENNETTA - over-raced early and middle stages.
MRS WASHINGTON - raced wide early.
LE POLE DANCER - when spoken to regarding the performance driver P Davis advised that the mare had worked hard in the middle stages when improving wide on the track with the effort taking its toll over the concluding stages.
SPIKEY BOY - when spoken to regarding the performance driver B Orange advised that the gelding had become poorly placed at the rear of the field and had been unable to improve his position after the three wide line had failed to progress as he anticipated resulting in him having to improve wide on the final bend. Mr Orange added he had not been disappointed with the effort.
JORDAN'S JURY - back slightly at the start when briefly crowded late in the score up.

MORRIES GIRL - raced wide early. Paced roughly in the home straight. Junior driver B Hope was warned for approaching the mobile out of position in the score up.
ASHES OF DESIRE - raced wide until reaching the parked position near the 1000 metres. Driver T Williams was warned for the manner he restrained his runner when pulling up after the race. Cleared from the unruly for future mobile starts.

LILAC CHANGE - over-raced in the early stages. Raced wide without cover from the 800 metres.
DALNESS ARIZONA - raced wide early and middle stages.
WESTBURN BLISS - briefly held up middle stages of the run home.

Race 5   SPEIGHTS ALE HOUSE BLENHEIM TROT
ROYAL DEL - held up in the early stages of the run home. Broke near the 200 metres.
GOTTA TICKET - broke at the start losing ground. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
MARANATHA ATLAS - broke near the 1800 metres losing all chance.
REGAL APPOINTMENT - when spoken to regarding the performance driver G Smith advised he was disappointed with the effort of the gelding in the final stages and could offer no explanation.
ONE OVER DOVER - trotted roughly passing the 1800 metres. Continued to trot roughly through the middle stages. Held up early stages of the run home. Broke near the 150 metres.
SILVER SURFER - trotted roughly passing the 800 metres and throughout the final straight.

CONTRACTUAL ISSUES - paced roughly as the start was effected
FUN IN THE DARK - broke in the score up losing considerable ground. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare.
FROSTY RECEPTION - hampered by a breaking runner near the 500 metres.
REGATTA - broke near the 500 metres when racing over the crossing hampering trailing runners and losing all chance. A warning was placed on the racing record of the mare.
SWAP OVER - hampered by a breaking runner near the 500 metres.
ULTIMATE ROCKER - hampered by a breaking runner near the 500 metres. Stewards questioned driver R May regarding the tactics he adopted near the 200 metres when shifting ground inwards. Mr May explained that the horse had hung inwards rounding the final bend and in the early stages of the home straight and despite his efforts he had been unable to shift his runner wider on the track which resulted in him improving to the inside of MAHIA before being held up over the concluding stages. Stewards accepted his comments. Mr May was advised to exercise greater care when shifting ground late in the run home which briefly crowded an inside runner.

PAUL'S VERDICT - raced wide early. Briefly crowded late in the run home.

A GUINNESS DANCE - paced roughly when improving wide on the track near the 700 metres. Continued to pace roughly rounding the final bend and in the early stages of the home straight. Lay outwards in the run home. Driver R Houghton was warned for using his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion in the home straight and also advised to break up his whip use with alternative actions.
SHARDS IN MANHATTAN - lay inwards and struck track markers passing the 550 metres.

BOULTON HOME - held up early stages of the run home.
BOILOVER - held up early stages of the run home.
MRS BEAU K - broke at the start checking an inside runner and lost all chance. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare.
CHANGEOVER JO - broke at the start hampering several runners and lost all chance. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare.
PROSPECT PARK - broke when leading near the 1900 metres losing all chance after a hopple shortener became entangled around the hind leg of the gelding.
CHAMPAGNEANDWINE - junior driver J Morrison admitted a breach of Rule 869(3)(b) in that he drove carelessly near the 300 metres when allowing his horse to strike a sulky wheel of PERAKI REACTOR and BOOM resulting in both tyres being punctured. After considering submissions on penalty the JCA imposed a fine of $250.
PERAKI REACTOR - hampered at the start. Weakened leaving the final bend. Driver T Williams reported he sustained a punctured sulky tyre on the final bend. When spoken to regarding the performance trainer G Payne advised that the horse had been unsuited to working hard through the middle stages to obtain the lead.
QUEENOFDANCE - hampered at the start.
BOOM - hampered at the start. Driver R May reported he sustained a punctured sulky tyre on the final bend.
QUARTERBACK - hampered at the start. Junior driver A Cameron was warned for using her whip with more than a wrist flicking motion in the home straight.

PLUTONIUM LADY - began awkwardly. Made contact with the sulky wheel of GILLIGANS ISLAND passing the 1700 metres. Held up early stages of the run home.

NO NUKES SKIPPER - broke at the start losing all chance and was retired from the race.
FYNN FROST - hung inwards rounding the final bend. Held up early and middle stages of the run home.

GILLIGANS ISLAND - driver S Tomlinson was warned for the manner she drove near the 1700 metres after shifting ground inwards when insufficiently clear resulting in her sulky wheel making contact with the front leg of PLUTONIUM LADY.
DADNDAVE - over-raced middle stages.
Race 12   MASIE'S HOLDINGS VINEYARD HANDICAP TROT
The start was delayed due to several runners breasting the barrier strand.
ALI LINDENNY - broke racing into the first bend losing ground. Weakened final bend.
SUNNY BILL - hung inwards and struck track markers on the final bend.
MILLIONDOLLARMONKEY - broke near the 150 metres when leading.
IDLE STUARTIA - broke at the start losing all chance.
MIKEMARO - began awkwardly. Raced four wide from the 600 metres.
I DREAM OF JEANNIE - broke over the concluding stages when leading. Stewards withheld authorisation of the mare's first placing until it was confirmed the horse had complied with the Breaking Horses Regulation and had not been lapped on by PRINCE TEKA.
