MELANIE ADAMS - broke near the 1700m losing considerable ground.
SKYZRCLEARNSUNNY - shifted out shortly after the start and then broke losing all chance before being retired from the event.
LOVE AND FAITH - broke near the 1500m losing ground before settling at the rear. Broke again near the 700m losing its chance.
STORMS ACOMING - slow over the early stages. Weakened in the run home.
DORIS RAE - Driver A Matthews was cautioned for delaying the start by failing to take up the correct Unruly position at the first attempt.

BRODIE LINDENNY - paced roughly for several strides near the 1700m.
BETTERZIPPIT - paced roughly rounding the final turn losing ground.
SUIDELIKE MAJOR - Driver K Marshall admitted a charge under Rule 869(2) when he used his whip with more than a wrist only flicking action in the run home. The JCA imposed a fine of $200.00.
CARSE O FERN CULLY - inconvenienced and paced roughly for several strides passing the 1700m.
Race 3   CAMBRIDGE EQUESTRIAN MARKET-BOOK YOUR STALL NOW MOBILE PACE
SUSIE REIGNMAKER - broke shortly after the start and galloped a considerable distance before settling. Broke again near the 1750m and settled at the rear. Paced roughly on several more occasions before breaking again at the 1100m and was retired from the event. The mare was stood down pending a satisfactory trial. A post race veterinary examination revealed no abnormality.
THE BLUE BEAT - hampered briefly by a breaking runner entering the first turn. Raced three wide early. Shifted wider rounding the home turn to provide room for an inside runner which had been placed in restricted room.
HEZASHADOWPLAYA - raced three wide with cover from the 1200m. Raced in restricted room approaching the 200m.
DUN IT BAD - raced three wide from the 1200m.
BUDVAR EYRE - hampered briefly by a breaking runner entering the first turn. Gave ground final turn.
PETER FORSBERG - raced three wide early and middle stages. Hampered final turn by a weakening runner.
ROMANEE - Driver D Ferguson was issued with a warning for using his whip with a more than a wrist only flicking action in the run home.

MARIA KIRILENKO - raced three wide early. Raced four wide from the 750m.
DIXIE REIGN - raced three wide early before being restrained to obtain a position in the running line near the 1600m. Raced four wide from the 750m.
CLASSEY ROBIN - over-raced early stages.
BANKERS GOLD - held up final turn and early stages of the run home.

TRAMPS LIKE US - broke shortly after the start and was taken up the track before settling. Broke briefly near the 800m. Broke passing the 300m. Driver P Ferguson reported that the gelding had been striking its sulky wheel discs.
LIAISON - lay in at various stages when trailing the leader. Driver D Butcher reported that he did not activate the deafeners due to having the field covered.
BERRYLICIOUS BABE - over-raced middle stages when towards the rear. Checked and broke near the 500m losing its chance.
DUCHESS OF CAMBRIDGE - hampered briefly passing the 500m.
LITTLEBITOFLOVE - broke approaching the 500m checking trailing runners and lost its chance. A warning was placed on the gelding's racing manners.
MACKALI - shifted out on straightening on the run home.
FLYING SCOTSMAN - broke near the 750m losing its chance.
CHINSKI - checked near the 500m losing considerable ground when taking evasive action.
MANCHESTER'S ECLIPSE - checked and broke near the 500m losing its chance.

PACING HOPE - paced roughly late in the score up and over the early stages.
CRIMSON RAIN - raced three wide early.
SIX TIMES A LADY - weakened final stages.
Race 7   FARRIER SUPPLIES CAMBRIDGE GOLD CUP QUALIFIER HCP PACE
ACE STRIKE - broke at the start and trailed the field. A warning was placed on the gelding's barrier manners.
IDEAL AGENT - held up final turn and throughout the run home when unable to obtain clear running.
ON A ROLL - broke at the start and galloped a considerable distance losing its chance. A warning was placed on the mare's barrier manners.
MIMI E COCO - broke briefly at the start. Worked forward to lead near the 1600m before receiving pressure from AMERICAN ME racing down the back straight the last time and then weakened in the run home to finish in 6th place beaten 14.8 lengths. Co-trainer S Telfer advised subsequent to the meeting that he had been disappointed with the performance and felt that MIMI E COCO may have been feeling the effects of a hard run at her previous start so the mare has been turned out for a brief spell.
ROUGH AND READY - broke at the start and settled towards the rear.
FLYING STEPS - broke at the start and settled towards the rear. Held up early final turn.

CARSE O FERN TOM - had difficulty obtaining clear running throughout the home straight.
WEREN'T WATCHING - held up early final turn.
CHASE THE GOLD - over-raced middle stages when outside the leader.
RED ATOM - Driver Z Meredith reported that he had been unable to activate the deafeners due to the release cord breaking. Mr Meredith was shown the replay and spoken to advisedly in regard to the manner in which he used the whip over the final 400m.
FRANKIE JONES - pulled hard score up.
Race 9   BAYLEYS COROMANDEL CAMBRIDGE GOLD CUP QUALIFIER HCP TROT
BATTLE COMMANDER - stood on the mark and was slow to begin. Broke near the 350m losing its chance.
GREY STOKE - raced three wide early.
DELSON - broke near the 500m losing its chance.
Race 10   THANKS FOR A LIFETIME OF SERVICE JOHN MUIRHEAD MOBILE PACE
EXPRESS PLAY - held up final turn and throughout the run home.
THE PEACEMAKER - contacted several marker pegs rounding the final turn when trailing the leader.
MISS HATHAWAY - trailed on the outer but only battled in the run home to finish in 5th place beaten 1.5 lengths. When questioned regarding the performance Driver B Butcher stated that the filly had received every opportunity and that he was disappointed with the run. Stewards will follow up with Co-Trainer S Telfer in the coming days.
Co-trainer S Telfer advised Stewards on 20 January that MISS HATHAWAY had recovered satisfactorily and worked well leading in to her next engagement at Auckland on 22 January. Mr Telfer stated that he felt the filly was still immature and was better suited racing righthanded at this stage of her career. He also mentioned that he would probably look to turn MISS HATHAWAY out for a spell following her Auckland engagement.
