Race 1   McINTOSH CATERING MOBILE TROT
LAURIES LEGACY - broke in the score up and was out of position at the start. Broke again after 300 metres losing all chance and was retired from the event.
MAJESTIC JAG - driver M Williamson reported the gelding had hung outwards in the straights.
HE'S A CASSANOVA - briefly held up early stages of the run home. Driver B Butt was advised to exercise care when shifting ground near the 300 metres placing inside runners in restricted room.
BREAK FREE - held up early stages of the run home.
HEAVENLY STRINGS - trotted roughly around the bends. Lay inwards and struck a pylon near the 500 metres. Lay outwards leaving the final bend prior to the passing lane and was forced inwards by an improving runner near the 300 metres. Driver C Thornley reported he sustained a flat tyre early in the run home.
SILVERLININGS - placed in restricted room when attempting a marginal run near the 300 metres, shortly after had to be steadied when runners to the outside shifted inwards. Driver B Hope was advised to take greater care when attempting a marginal run.
HURRICANE HILL - lay outwards in the home straight.
GLIDE ALONG - hung inwards striking pylons before breaking racing into the first bend. Broke again on several occasions during the running losing its chance. Driver T Chmiel reported the gelding had hung throughout.
Race 2   GARY McCORMICK TRANSPORT MOBILE PACE
ROYAL XCHANGE - checked near the 850 metres losing all chance.
ARTS CENTRE - checked near the 850 metres losing all chance.
AVEROSS SPITFIRE - over-raced near the 850 metres and broke checking trailing runners. Stood down to complete one satisfactory trial.
EDGE SHEERAN - over-raced early stages. Hampered by a breaking runner near the 850 metres.
STELLA'S DELIGHT - hampered by a breaking runner near the 850 metres. Held up final bend and in the early stages of the run home.
DAGGY LAMB - driver L O'Reilly was spoken to for using his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion in the home straight.
IT'S A LAUGH - paced roughly as the start was effected.
MAGIC SIGN - trainer G Court was warned for not having the correct colours available.

SCHIAVONE - held up early and middle stages of the run home. Paced roughly near the 200 metres.
PLAY IT NOW - held up early stages of the run home.
SEAPRIS - held up early and middle stages of the run home.
DIXIE FLYER - broke briefly rounding the final bend. Driver S O'Reilly reported she will be recommending gear changes.
FRAUD - over-raced middle stages. Held up throughout the home straight.
Race 4   REDPARK FARM MOBILE PACE
JORDY - held up middle stages of the run home.
PIECE OF GOLD - lay out throughout the home straight.
KILAUEA - held up early and middle stages of the run home.
CLASSIE WASHINGTON - raced wide early stages.
OWES ME DOUGH - paced roughly and broke shortly after the start losing considerable ground. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Raced wide through the middle stages. Raced greenly on a number of occasions through the running. When questioned regarding the performance driver M Hurrell advised the gelding had objected to the track grit and he will be recommending gear changes.
ALL TOGETHER NOW - raced wide early stages and paced roughly around the first bend when hanging out. Held up early stages of the run home.
THE COBBLER - broke shortly after the start losing all chance. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the colt.
Race 5   GRICE FAMILY MOBILE TROT
TRES MAGNIFIQUE - hampered by a breaking runner near the 1000 metres.
ORLANDO MAGIC - broke near the 1000 metres hampering trailing runners. Broke again near the 600 metres. Driver S Ottley reported the mare had been striking a knee.
CABELLA NOIR - held up early stages of the run home.
KOWHAI SUNDOWN - trotted roughly around the final bend. Broke near the 300 metres.
SOME TIME - lay in throughout the run home when under pressure. When questioned regarding the improved performance co-trainer/driver J Smith advised the mare was better suited by the mobile start and the distance of today's race.
UNIQUE ROSE - broke near the 300 metres.
SHOW ME THE GRAY - raced wide early stages.
FULL OF HOPE - held up early and middle stages of the run home.
AWAPUNI - hampered by a breaking runner near the 1000 metres. Held up on the final bend and early stages of the run home.
SONOMA TYRON - out of position at the start despite the efforts of Driver G O'Reilly.
JACCKA JEORGE - broke near the 900 metres losing all chance.

ON THE BUZZER - driver R Close reported the gelding had paced roughly throughout. Stewards will follow up with connections in the coming days.
SOUTHERLY CHANGE - over-raced middle stages when in the parked position.
ULTIMATE SASSENACH - over-raced middle stages.
LOYALIST - held up early and middle stages of the run home. Driver B Hope will be spoken to regarding the tactics he adopted near the 250 metres.
PAUL'S VERDICT - broke at the start losing all chance.
Trainer K Barron advised on 14 January that LONGVIEW LADY is 30 days positive in foal.

DALNESS ARIZONA - broke at the start. Broke again entering the first bend losing all chance.
SAFE ZONE - broke at the start losing all chance.
WOODLEA EXPLORER - lay out throughout the run home. Driver J Morrison was reminded of his obligations to maintain a straight course in the run home.
UNICO GEM - fractious prior to the start and was slightly back in consequence.
IN CHEVRON WE TRUST - held up early stages of the run home.
SPANNA - lay inwards on the final bend contacting a track marker. Held up middle stages of the run home.
Trainer B Negus advised that KATHERINE had her joints injected on 17 January.
Race 8   HYGAIN & MITAVITE FEEDS FILLIES & MARES MOBILE PACE
DASHTOTHEBEACH - held up on the final bend.
SKIDADDLE - locked wheels with TAKEMYBREATHAWAY on the first bend for a distance. Raced wide final bend. Stewards will follow up with connections in the coming days.
SILVER LADY - lay inwards near the 1200 metres locking wheels with HELLS SHADOW for a short distance hampering trailing runners. Returned to the birdcage with blood present in a nostril. A post-race veterinary examination confirmed the mare had ruptured a blood vessel and was not a bleeder.
TAKEMYBREATHAWAY - placed into restricted room on the first bend and locked wheels with SKIDADDLE for a distance. Raced wide early stages. Hampered near the 1200 metres. Weakened final bend.
JONIQUE - hampered near the 1200 metres.
SZYBKA LANE - Driver G Telfer will be spoken to in the coming days for the manner he drove rounding the first bend. Raced wide without cover early and middle stages. Weakened final bend.
HELLS SHADOW - lay out near the 1200 metres locking wheels with SILVER LADY for a short distance hampering trailing runners. Over-raced and broke near the 500 metres.
LATERINTHEDAY - hampered near the 1200 metres resulting in contact being made with track markers. Held up early stages of the run home.
SENORITA MARGARITA - hampered near the 1200 metres. Over-raced middle stages. Driver S Ottley reported she dropped her whip near the 300 metres. When questioned regarding the improved performance trainer B Negus advised the mare had benefited from a favourable run close to the marker line before improving in the home straight.
MAJORCA - hampered near the 1200 metres. Held up late in the run home.
Trainer K Barron advised Stewards on 14 January that SILVER LADY has had a caslick procedure since last racing.
Trainer J Alford advised Stewards on 20 January that following its performance at Ashburton on 12 January SKIDADDLE was found to be suffering from a cold and has been treated accordingly.
Trainer J Alford advised that SKIDADDLE had its hocks injected on 20 January.
Race 9   STUDHOLME BLOODSTOCK YEARLING DRAFT 2021 HANDICAP TROT
DUDES STAR - fractious prior to the start causing a delay. Broke shortly after the start and again on the first bend.
BEYOND THE HORIZON - hampered by a breaking runner near the 250 metres.
PRINCE RANIER - lay in throughout the run home and shifted into the passing lane near the 65 metres impeding the progress of BOYZ INVASION (M Heenan). Stewards lodged a protest against 1st placing being awarded to PRINCE RANIER (G Telfer) alleging interference to BOYZ INVASION placed 2nd. After hearing evidence from Stewards, both drivers and viewing the films, the JCA upheld the protest and PRINCE RANIER was relegated to 2nd place. Driver G Telfer admitted an associated charge of driving carelessly when allowing his horse to shift inwards and after penalty submissions the JCA suspended his licence from the conclusion of racing today up to and including 29 January 2021 (4 days).

SIERRA GOLD - the connections advised the mare has been served since last racing and would be racing in foal.
MAJESTIC ACTION - checked and broke near the 250 metres.
STEEL DUST - slow over the early stages. Hampered by a breaking runner near the 200 metres.
GIRLS LET LOOSE - checked and broke near the 250 metres.
ARRAN CHIEF - began awkwardly.
WILLANGUS LAD - broke on the first bend.
ALVIRA HEST - over-raced middle stages when leading. Broke near the 300 metres.
IN SEQUENCE - trotted roughly final bend. Broke near the 250 metres hampering trailing runners. A warning was placed on the racing record of the mare.
BOYZ INVASION - had to be steadied near the 65 metres when PRINCE RANIER shifted into the passing lane and was not able to be fully driven out. Promoted to 1st placing by the JCA.
Race 10   HIRE ASHBURTON RACEWAY FOR YOUR NEXT FUNCTION MOB PACE
The start of this event was delayed at the request of Raceday Control due to the protest in the previous race.
SMOOTH DEBATE - lay in exiting the final bend contacting several track markers.
REFINE - hung inwards on the first bend contacting several track markers.
CHASE THE HAT TRICK - driver R Holmes reported the gelding was not suited to racing in the parked position.
CHAL BE - broke shortly after the start. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Weakened final bend.
DALLAS GRIMES - the connections advised the mare has been served since last racing.
STICK MAN - hampered by a breaking runner on the first bend.
TO RI CAITLIN - was slightly out of position at the start despite the efforts of Driver M Hurrell. Hampered by a breaking runner on the first bend.
MAKWALA - hampered by a breaking runner on the first bend. When questioned regarding the performance, driver R Close advised he was disappointed with the effort and the gelding had paced roughly on several occasions. Stewards will follow up with connections in the coming days.
OFF THE EDGE - slow to leave the pre-race circle and slightly out of position at the start.

Trainer A Stuart advised Stewards on 20 January that MAKWALA has recovered well following its disappointing run at Ashburton on 12 January and will resume at Addington with the addition of blinds.
