Race 10 - KEA WAI BUILDING LTD HANDICAP TROT
Stable representative Mrs B Williamson advised the Stewards on 6 January that a Veterinary examination of SUNDONS FLYER following its race at Roxburgh had revealed early signs of a respiratory infection for which the mare will receive further treatment prior to racing next.

CHAROLAIS - trotted roughly then broke shortly after the start. Again broke racing into the first bend losing all chance.
SUMMARS - held up rounding the final bend.
PETRONELLI GEE - briefly hampered by a breaking runner in the early stages of the home straight.
SUPERFAST GORSEY - broke early in the run home hampering trailing runner.
WHANGAMATA - lay inwards rounding the final bend losing ground.
NORDIC PRINCE - broke at the start. Again broke passing the 200 metres. Stood down to trial to the Stewards satisfaction on one occasion prior to racing next.
KIWI HEIR - reported by trainer A Paisley to be racing in season. Broke at the start. Again broke near the 1900 metres losing all chance.
SLAINTE - broke at the start. Again broke early in the run home hampering a trailing runner.
ELLA OF MOT - fractious prior to the start. Hampered by a breaking runner in the early stages of the home straight.
PHOEBE'S DELIGHT - paced away, having to broken up by driver S Ottley to return the mare to its correct gait, losing all chance.
Race 2   NEW WORLD CROMWELL/BLACK RABBIT KITCHEN + BAR MOB PACE
MALDITO - broke in the score-up checking second line runners and necessitating a false start be declared. Driver B Williamson elected to start from the outside of the Unruly position for the re-start. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Briefly hampered by a breaking runner near the 1400 metres. The 2 minute strap came adrift during the running.
MICKEY FITZ - held up in early stages of the run home.
GOTTAGETTABEER - raced wide in the early stages. Broke leaving the final bend. A warning was placed on the racing record of the mare.
ROCK TO THE BOSS - raced very wide rounding the final bend.
ZIRCON LASS - held up in early stages of the run home.
NOOSA BEACH - paced roughly over the crossing near the 1400 metres and broke briefly. Raced three-wide with cover from the 1300 metres then without cover from the 800 metres. Weakened leaving the final bend. When spoken to regarding the apparent poor performance driver E Barron advised the gelding had failed to handle the grass track today.
MACH O'MELLEY - raced three-wide from the 1300 metres until reaching the parked position near the 800 metres.
BOMBOLLA - held up in early stages of the run home. Cleared from the Unruly for upcoming mobile barrier engagements.
Race 3   MACCA LODGE/O'CALLAGHAN & WALKER BUILDERS MOBILE PACE
Following both false starts affected horses were examined by the on-course Veterinarian and cleared to race.
STUNIN STAR - broke racing into the first bend. A final warning was placed on the racing record of the filly.
HONOUR BEFORE GLORY - required farrier attention prior to the second re-start.
TRUEHAWK - when questioned regarding the apparent improved performance trainer/driver L McCormick advised the mare had performed well in its recent start at Forbury Park and today was well suited by the track and inside draw. Driver L McCormick was spoken to advisedly for using his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion in the home straight.
SANTERIA - broke in the score-up checking second line runners and necessitating a false start be declared. Driver J Morrison elected to remain in his allotted barrier position for the re-start. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare. Raced wide in the early stages.
OMAGGIO - shifted in abruptly in the score-up of the re-start heavily contacting and disorganising inside runners necessitating a second false start be declared. Sent to the Unruly position for the second re-start where the mare will now be drawn for upcoming mobile barrier engagements. A warning was placed on the barrier record of OMAGGIO. Fractious prior to the re-start and well out of position at the dispatch eventually being retired from the event.
ROCKNROLL DIVA - heavily contacted by outside runner in the score-up of the re-start. Broke in the score-up of the second re-start losing all chance.
CHANGE AT THE TOP - held up until late in the home straight.
YOU CAN FLY ARDEN - heavily contacted by outside runner in the score-up of the re-start with driver B Williamson being dislodged from the sulky and a second false start being declared. B Williamson was examined by St John Ambulance Paramedics and found to be uninjured in this incident. Broke near the 200 metres.
PARADISE VALLEY - on pulling up following the initial false start driver A Milne was dislodged from his sulky and following an examination by St John Ambulance Paramedics was found to be uninjured. Driver A Milne was spoken to advisedly for using his whip free of the rein in the home straight.
HOPEFUL - weakened final bend. Driver T Robertson will be spoken to in the coming days with regards the manner he drove at this stage of the race.
PRETTY AZZ - slow out of the pre-race circle and then briefly hampered when having to take evasive action to avoid a breaking runner. Authorisation of all placings was withheld until the Stewards had the opportunity to view footage of the start to determine whether this mare had received a fair start when being briefly restrained prior to the start. After viewing the films Stewards declared PRETTY AZZ a non-runner pursuant to Rule 213(1)(j)
PERTURBED - heavily contacted by outside runner in the score-up of the re-start. Had difficulty obtaining clear racing room throughout the home straight.
Race 4   ON POINT NZ/BH20 PLUMBING/PUTNEY ROOFING TROT
SVELT - briefly held up at the top of the straight and again over the concluding stages.
CODY BANNER - slow then raced wide in the early stages prior to being restrained to the rear to obtain cover. Broke rounding the final bend.
MATAI JETSTAR - trotted roughly in the home straight and as a result was unable to be fully driven out.
THE PEAKY BLINDER - broke at the start losing all chance. Authorisation of placings was withheld until driver B Munro viewed the films to ascertain whether this gelding had received a fair start and after viewing the relevant footage Mr Munro elected not to proceed.
MADRIK - trainer C Ferguson was issued with a warning for presenting this gelding to race in pacifiers not notified.
MISS JESSICA - weakened rounding the final bend.
SUNGAIT'S LEGACY - over-raced in the early stages.
KING OF THE NORTH - trotted roughly rounding the final bend.
QUAESTOR - broke over the crossing near the 1400 metres losing all chance. Stood down to trial to the satisfaction of the Stewards on one occasion prior to racing next.
THE NIGHT SWEATS - weakened rounding the final bend.
Race 5   BAYLEYS CROMWELL/CROMWELL COLLISION REPAIRS MOBILE PACE
GABBY'S STAR - junior driver T Dewe was spoken to advisedly regarding using the whip with more than a wrist flicking motion in the home straight.
TARTAN ROXY - broke in the score-up checking second line runners necessitating a false start be declared. Driver M Hurrell elected to remain in his allotted barrier position for the re-start. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare. Lay inwards and broke briefly passing the 400 metres.
Following the running of this race the official track conditions were upgraded to Dead.
ALEXIS ROCKET - driver T Larsen was spoken to advisedly for using his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion in the home straight.
Race 6   RIVER ROCK ESTATE/FARMLANDS SUGARLOAF MEATS HCP TROT
AMABEDE - briefly hampered near the 2200 metres.
DANANGUS FELLA - briefly hampered near the 2200 metres and broke briefly.
JANNAH JACCKA - broke shortly after the start losing some ground.
MISS CRAZED - broke at the start losing all chance and was retired from the race shortly after.
TIME IN A BOTTLE - raced greenly when leading passing the 2200 metres, easing the pace and momentarily hampering trailing runners. Shifted down the track over the concluding stages having to be corrected by driver J Morrison. J Morrison reported a sulky tyre had deflated during the race.
SAGE TROUBLE - weakened rounding the final bend.
HARRY H - briefly hampered near the 2200 metres.
Race 7   GOLDEN VIEW LIFESTYLE VILLAGE PGG CROMWELL CUP (HCP PACE)
MUCHO MACHO MAN - broke near the 2100 metres hampering a trailing runner and losing all chance. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding.
PLUTONIUM LADY - broke briefly at the start.
STANDOUT - held up early stages of home straight.
I'MALLABOUTTHEBASE - hampered by a breaking runner near the 2300 metres.
ROBYNS PLAYBOY - shifted inwards under pressure in the home straight having to be corrected by driver C Ferguson.
Race 8   SOUTHERN LAKES ITM/CLELAND RACING SYND/R TODD HCP TROT
CLYDE - broke briefly at the start.
PLAYBOY'S BROTHER - fractious prior to the start getting the sulky shaft over its rump and shifted out abruptly hampering an outside runner and necessitating a false start be declared. Driver B Barclay elected to start from the outside of the Unruly position for the re-start. Weakened rounding the final bend.
HUMBLE LADD - trotted roughly and broke passing the 90 metres. Authorisation of 5th placing being awarded was withheld until the Stewards had viewed the available films of the home straight to ascertain this gelding had not breached the Breaking Horse Regulations however as the footage proved inconclusive 5th placing was duly authorised.
Race 9   CROMWELL NIGHT 'N DAY BUSINESSES CUP MOBILE PACE
SNEAK A PEEK - weakened rounding the final bend hampering a trailing runner. A post-race Veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormality. Reported to have lost the off fore racing plate during the running.
JACKS N JAZZ - broke in the score-up losing all chance. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
HURRICANE BANNER - driver E Barron was issued with a warning for using her whip with more than a wrist flicking motion in the home straight.
MY MATE BEN - over-raced on various occasions during the running.
MACH'S BACK - briefly held up by a tiring runner rounding the final bend. When questioned regarding the seemingly improved performance co-trainer/driver K Barclay advised the gelding performs best when able to sit and sprint with one run as it was in a race run to suit today.
Race 10   SANGSTER ELECTRICAL/TOP LINE FENCING MOBILE PACE
ALLANDALE - B Williamson replaced R McIlwrick as the driver of this gelding due to a communication error. Over-raced in the early stages when being restrained to obtain cover.
ART COURAGE - late scratching at 7.30pm due to a communication error.
MELTON MAFIA - held up for clear racing room in the early to middle stages of the home straight.
Race 11   WOODLANDS MOTORS/SPEIGHTS ALE HOUSE PALMY MOBILE PACE
INSARCHATWIST - paced roughly in the early stages of the run home.
CALYPSO ROCK - broke in the score-up however recovered to take up its allotted barrier position at the dispatch.
STAR REACTOR - broke in the score-up losing all chance. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare.
TONY THE PONY - broke shortly after the start losing some ground. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
Race 12   GOODMAN PLUMBING LTD/HOKONUI HONDA MOBILE PACE
MATRIKA - held up in the middle stages of the home straight. Shifted out near the 100 metres placing an outside runner in restricted room momentarily.
PAUL'S VERDICT - paced roughly in the score-up. Lay inwards on the final bend contacting track markers.
PETE'S DASH - raced wide in the early stages.
MYRCELLA - raced four-wide into the first bend, then raced three-wide from the 1350 metres until reaching the parked position near the 1100 metres.
DALNESS ARIZONA - broke over the concluding stages. Raced in restricted room momentarily near the 100 metres when runners either side shifted ground and broke shortly thereafter free of interference.
TAD LINCOLN - raced wide in the early stages.
THE NIGHT WATCHMAN - out of position at the start despite the efforts of driver R Swain. Raced four-wide from the 600 metres. Lay inwards in the middle stages of the home straight having to be corrected by its driver. Driver R Swain will be spoken to in the coming days regarding using his whip in more that a wrist flicking motion.

PURE ART - out of position at the start despite the efforts of driver B Williamson.
SCHIAVONE - paced roughly in the home straight.
