NORDIC PRINCE - broke racing into the first bend losing all chance. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding.
SUNDAY INVASION - broke shortly after the start losing all chance.
DENN NEE'S SISTER - broke passing the 1650 metres losing all chance.
DOMINATION'S CALL - raced wide into the first bend. Broke passing the 1800 metres losing all chance.
SACRED MOUNTAIN - lay inwards and trotted roughly throughout the run home.
LIGHT OF DA MOON - trotted roughly throughout the run home. Driver R Holmes reported he did not release the removable deafeners applied to the filly due to having the field covered.
ELLA OF MOT - broke rounding the final bend.
DEM BONES DEM BONES - cleared from the Unruly for future standing start engagements.
Race 2   RD PETROLEUM AMATEUR DRIVERS MOBILE PACE
OFF THE EDGE - trainer A Edge was issued with a warning for presenting this runner without the notified blinds.
MYRCELLA - raced wide in the early stages. Over-raced in the parked position in the middle stages.
PETE'S DASH - lay inwards in the score-up. Raced wide from the 1000 metres then attempted to improved four-wide from the 400 metres.
JIMMY CANNON - out of position at the start despite the efforts of driver M Maynard. M Maynard was spoken to advisedly for using his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion in the home straight.
SENORITA MARGARITA - over-raced in the middle stages. Held up by a tiring runner rounding the final bend. Stewards questioned driver J Buckland-Stevens regarding the tactics she adopted near the 500 metres when shifting ground outwards onto the back of ALLANDALE which had raced three-wide throughout and subsequently weakened resulting in SENORITA MARGARITA then becoming held up for some distance. Miss Buckland-Stevens advised that due to her mare over-racing she opted to shift outwards to avoid having to race in tight quarters. Stewards advised Miss Buckland-Stevens that in future better decision making whilst selecting a course of action would be expected.
ALLANDALE - raced three-wide throughout and was unable to cross to the parked position in the middle stages due to the parked horse over-racing. Weakened rounding the final bend.
IVANA LEGACY - held up in the early stages of the run home. Driver M McIntyre was spoken to advisedly for using her whip with more than a wrist flicking motion in the home straight.
Race 3   MACCA LODGE/MCINTYRE FLANNERY TAIT/REDPATHS TROT
JAGUAR BAY - broke passing the 2400 metres. Again broke over the concluding stages.
BIG IRON - broke at the start. Authorisation of 5th placing was withheld until the Stewards were satisfied the gelding had complied with the Breaking Horse Regulations.
ZEALOUS SPUR - hung inwards and broke passing the 1400 metres losing some ground and hampering AMABEDE which broke in consequence with driver S Tomlinson becoming unbalanced in the sulky. A warning was placed on the racing record of ZEALOUS SPUR.
SUNGAIT'S LEGACY - broke at the start.
ZONED SCARLETT - broke after 150 metres. A final warning was placed on the racing record of the mare. Weakened rounding the final bend.
AMABEDE - broke briefly when hampered near the 1400 metres.
GLOBAL FLIGHT - broke shortly after the start.
QUAESTOR - paced then broke passing the 2400 metres. Again broke passing the 2000 metres losing all chance. A warning was placed on the racing record of the mare.
B K MERLOT - broke shortly after the start.
Race 4   FASTTRACK/DANIEL BATH CONTRACTING/SGT DAN MOB PACE
GOTTAGETTABEER - retired from the race near the 800 metres. Driver L McCormick reported the mare had not handled the bends and been striking a knee. A post-race Veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormalities. L McCormick was issued with a warning for using his whip free of the rein near the 900 metres.
MACH QUILLAN - raced wide in the early stages.
S P F THREE - refused to leave the pre-race circle and was some distance out of the Unruly position at the dispatch. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
Race 5   REMARKABLES ORCHARD/NEW WORLD ALEXANDRA MOBILE PACE
MARIE LONG - lay inwards on the final bend contacting track markers.
EMERALD ABBEY - held up near the 150 metres having to shift ground outwards to obtain clear racing room.
TRUEHAWK - weakened rounding the final bend.
SOUTHERN STARR - held up by a tiring runner rounding the final bend.
WHITE DIAMOND GOLD - over-raced in the middle stages.
K MACH - weakened over the final stages and fell to the track. The mare was attended to immediately by the on-course Veterinarian and found to have suffered a fatal cardio vascular incident and was subsequently removed from the track in the on-course Horse Ambulance.
ARIZONA DOLL - over-raced in the middle stages. Lay inwards on the bends throughout.
Race 6   VAN DER VOORTS/HARLIWICH HOLDINGS/TURRET HOUSE MOB PACE
BOLZANO - paced roughly and broke shortly after the start. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the entire.
SMOKIN ANNIE - lay inwards passing the 400 metres dislodging a track marker.
MATRIKA - raced wide in the early stages.
Race 7   MARSHS HONEY/MAINLAND MINERALS/MORRELL SHEARING MOB PACE
KUSANOVA - when questioned regarding the performance driver M Hurrell advised the mare had received an economical run however when asked for an effort had failed to respond to his urgings and was disappointing. A post-race Veterinary examination revealed the mare to have a slow recovery.
GABBY'S STAR - raced wide into the first bend.
IDEAL GAL - out of position at the start despite the efforts of driver K Tomlinson. Held up in the early stages of the run home.
INDULGENCE - held up in the early stages of the run home.
RIDE IN A CONCORDE - raced wide into the first bend.
STRATOFORTRESS - held up rounding the final bend.
HARRISON - raced three-wide from the 1200 metres.
Race 8   BEARING REPLACEMENTS MOBILE PACE
SWEET LIZZIE - hung outwards and broke racing into the first bend losing some ground. When questioned regarding the apparent poor performance driver B Orange advised the filly had been striking both knees and failed to handle the track today.
Race 9   PETER'S GENETICS ROXBURGH CUP (HANDICAP PACE)
The start of this race was delayed 2 minutes at the request of TAB Control.
JOHNNY MAC - over-raced in the middle stages.
FREDDIESAM - broke at the start losing considerable ground with a hopple centre carrier strap breaking in consequence. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the entire. Paced roughly rounding the final bend.
MEMPHIS TENNESSEE - lay inwards and paced roughly rounding the final bend racing inside track markers as a consequence.
A BETTOR ACT - underwent a pre-race Veterinary examination and was cleared to start. Driver B Williamson reported a sulky tyre had deflated shortly after the start.
SANTANNA MACH - broke at the start.
DEUS EX - tangled away.
Race 10   KEA WAI BUILDING LTD HANDICAP TROT
HARRY H - briefly held up by a breaking runner near the 300 metres.
TIME IN A BOTTLE - trotted roughly and broke passing the 300 metres hampering a trailing runner.
ARDEE TROUBLE - broke passing the 2200 metres losing all chance and eventually being retired from the race.
JUSTAMOLLYARCHER - weakened rounding the final bend.
GIRLS LET LOOSE - when questioned regarding the seemingly improved performance trainer S Sutherland advised that the mare performs best when able to sit and sprint and was suited by the tempo of the race today.
PLAYBOY'S BROTHER - broke after 150 metres losing some ground. Again broke passing the 1200 metres losing some ground. Weakened from the 600 metres.
KIWITRIX - broke rounding the final bend.
SMOKIN BANDAR - pre-raced warmed. Broke near the 2400 metres losing all chance.
SUNDONS FLYER - raced wide in the early stages. Weakened from the 1200 metres. A post-race Veterinary examination revealed the mare to have tied-up. Stewards will follow up with connections in the coming days.
Race 11   ROXBURGH COMBINED SPONSORS MOBILE PACE
CASSIUS BROMAC - driver B Barclay will be spoken to in the coming days regarding his use of the whip with more than a wrist flicking motion in the home straight.
SWIFT ROBYN - paced roughly in the score-up. Over-raced in the early stages when being restrained to obtain cover.
WEE RING THE CHANGES - driver M Hurrell will be spoken to in the coming days regarding his use of the whip with more than a wrist flicking motion rounding the final bend.
