NIGHT WATCH - broke at the start losing considerable ground. Stewards questioned Driver A Clark about the tactics that he adopted near the 1400 metres when electing to shift three wide after losing considerable ground when breaking at the start then weakening from the 800 metres. A post race veterinary examination revealed a slow recovery. After hearing from Mr Clark and viewing the replays Stewards issued Mr Clark with a charge under Rule 868(2) in that he failed to take all reasonable and permissible measures between the 1400 and 800 metres. Mr Clark admitted the breach and after hearing submissions on penalty the JCA suspended Mr Clark's Horseman's licence from the conclusion of racing today up to and including the 20th April 2021.(16 weeks) | |
