Race 8 - CHRISTMAS AT THE RACES RANGIORA DEC 20 MOBILE PACE
Trainer T Chmiel advised Stewards on 24 November that STICK MAN has been treated with antibiotics following its disappointing performance at Rangiora last week.
Stable representative J Dunn advised Stewards on 24 November that OFF N GONE has been treated for a minor infection since racing at Rangiora last week. Subsequent to this the horse has returned unsatisfactory blood test results that required further treatment necessitating its scratching from its engagement at Addington on Friday.

Trainer B Borcoskie advised Stewards on 24 November that THE BLOSS has recovered well following its disappointing performance at Motukarara on Sunday and will continue with its current preparation.

Race 1   TELTRAC COMMUNICATIONS MOBILE PACE
COREY BEE - out of position at the start despite the efforts of driver C DeFilippi. When spoken to Mr DeFilippi reported the mare to have been lethargic which he attributed to being her first start since 28 February and expected her to be improved when next presented. Paced roughly over the final stages.
MALINKA - held up in the early stages of the run home.
VOODOO PRIESTESS - over-raced middle stages.
NEYVELI FRANCO - when spoken to regarding the performance of the mare driver C Thornley could offer no explanation and was disappointed with the performance. Stewards will follow up with connections in the coming days.
FOLKLORE - the required veterinary clearance was received.
ANAMAJOR - hampered late in the score up by COREY BEE which was not able to hold its position meaning the mare was required to start further back than anticipated.
Race 2   NEW BRIGHTON COLLISION REPAIRS LTD HCP TROT
BRIGHT GLOW - driver I Cameron will be spoken to regarding the manner he drove in the early stages.
MUSCLE BANK - broke shortly after the start losing considerable ground.
PUZZLED - broke shortly after the start losing considerable ground.
ISLA ELSIE - trotted roughly and shifted outwards over the final stages.
IDLE STUARTIA - hampered by a tiring runner near the 600 metres and had to shift ground outwards to improve but failed to run on once clear of that horse and weakened passing the 250 metres. When questioned regarding the performance, driver B Orange advised he was disappointed with the mare's effort. Trainer R Austin added that the mare had not been suited to the hard early tempo but was also disappointed with the performance. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the horse was suffering from a respiratory infection and was treated with antibiotics. Stood down pending a veterinary clearance.
I DREAM OF JEANNIE - weakened from the 600 metres. When questioned regarding the performance, driver T Williams advised he had been disappointed with the mare's efforts and she had previously performed in the same manner when asked to lead. Trainer S Smolenski also reported the mare to have been unsuited to leading and when possible would be having this horse driven with a sit in future. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
LUMINOSITY - broke briefly after 100 metres.
SIOUX PRINCESS - over-raced approaching the 1200 metres. Trotted roughly over the final stages. Stewards spoke to driver S Ottley regarding her shift outwards near the 700 metres which briefly hampered MUSCLE BANK and reminded her of her obligations.
Race 3   GRAPHITE DEVELOPMENTS FUTURITY CONSOLATION MOBILE PACE
JOHN JAMES PRESTON - paced roughly late in the score up. Driver J Young-Grant was spoken to for using her whip free of the rein.
BETTERWITHBLING - out of position at the start when JOHN JAMES PRESTON briefly shifted outwards. Weakened leaving the final bend. When questioned regarding the performance, driver J Cox advised the gelding was not suited to the fast tempo of the race and had travelled lethargically throughout. Stewards will follow up with connections in the coming days.
LADY MATARA - the required veterinary clearance was received. Paced roughly on the final bend having to be steadied.
BOOM - lay inwards in the early stages of the run home.
GAYLE FORCE - when spoken to regarding the performance, driver C Thornley advised he was disappointed with the gelding's effort and could offer no explanation. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
Race 4   DUNSTAN HORSEFEEDS SIRES STAKES FILLIES (HEAT 3) MOBILE PACE
TONI STREET - weakened near the 500 metres and shifted outwards under pressure. Driver C Thornley reported the filly to have raced keenly outside the leader which impacted on its performance. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
ITZ TO THE MACS - raced keenly through the middle stages.
LA ROSA - driver S Ottley was spoken to for using her whip with more than a wrist flicking motion.
ENDLESS DREAMS - over-raced middle stages and had to be restrained near the 700 metres.
Race 5   TONY McKENZIE MEMORIAL MOBILE PACE
ARDEN'S REALITY - had difficulty finding clear racing room throughout the run home.
ESPECIAL - held up early stages of the run home.
I'MALLABOUTTHEBASE - when spoken to regarding the improved performance, trainer S Baucke advised the mare had received an economical run and had benefited from a good draw today. Driver M Williamson added that the horse had performed well at a recent Workout and had raced more kindly than at its previous start.
SAGANO - held up in the early and middle stages of the run home. Driver K Butt reported she did not release the deafeners in consequence. Miss Butt was spoken to for using her whip free of the rein.
SPELLBOUND - paced roughly late in the score up.
SOMEKINDAWONDERFUL - raced wide early stages.
I'M TOUGH - trainer R Dunn was warned for presenting I'M TOUGH with an anti choke device which had not been notified. Raced keenly middle stages. Improved three wide at the 600 metres.
ROCKNROLL ROD - raced keenly throughout. Had difficulty finding clear racing room throughout the run home.
TYRON'S BIT OF LEMON - raced wide from the 700 metres.
Race 6   AVON CITY FORD MOBILE PACE
ULTIMATE BIRD - raced greenly for a short distance passing the 150 metres. Stewards spoke to driver C DeFilippi regarding the manner in which he shifted out near the 1500 metres which resulted in BAD HOMBRE and ANGUS being shifted wider on the track. After considering his explanation the matter was adjourned until Stewards can make further enquiries.
TERROR EYES - hung inwards racing into the first bend having to be steadied.
BOLZANO - broke near the 200 metres losing its chance.
BAD HOMBRE - raced wide early stages. Raced keenly through the middle stages.
FRIENDLY EYRE - raced wide early stages.
ANGUS - raced wide until near the 1300 metres.
LANCEWOOD LOUIE - the boring pole was removed prior to the start after warming up unfavourably. Broke prior to the start losing considerable ground. A warning was placed on the colt's barrier record.
SIR BRIGADOON - out of position at the start.
SERG BLANCO - had some difficulty obtaining clear racing room in the final straight.
PERFECT CUT - lay inwards in the early stages. Over-raced leaving the bend near the 1500 metres.
Trainer G Court was fined $150 by the JCA for failing to advise TERROR EYES would be racing with removable deafeners. This matter was referred to the JCA due to Mr Court's recent record of infringing under this rule.
Stewards spoke with R May regarding his horse (BAD HOMBRE) being taken wider by ULTIMATE BIRD near the 1400 metres. After considering his explanation the matter was taken no further.
Race 7   QEII COLLISION REPAIRS LTD MOBILE TROT
LISTEN EASY - broke in the score up and was out of position at the start.
MAJESTIC SUNSET - over-raced throughout. Lay inwards under pressure on the final bend and dislodged track markers. Broke near the 200 metres.
COUNT EYRE - trotted roughly over the final stages. Driver R Close advised he was not able to fully test the gelding.
GOTTA TICKET - broke after 150 metres losing all chance.
SILVER SURFER - broke on the final bend. Cleared from the unruly for mobile starts.
Race 8   FIRST DIRECT TAXIS MOBILE PACE
DHAULAGIRI - broke briefly in the score up and recovered to be in position at the start. Held up for clear racing room over the final stages.
UNDER WRAPS - raced wide early stages.
CARLOS BROMAC - Stewards will speak to driver K Newman regarding using his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion.
INVISIBLE GIRL - out of position at the start despite the efforts of driver J Curtin. Over-raced throughout.
