Race 1   IRT. YOUR HORSE. OUR PASSION. MOBILE PACE
ANNIE RICHTER - lay in on the final bend making contact with several track markers.
HELLS SHADOW - hung outwards and paced roughly through the early stages. Continued to pace roughly through the middle stages. Driver S McNally was spoken to regarding using his whip free of the rein.
CANSTAR - raced wide in the early stages before being restrained to the rear of the field to obtain cover. Lay inwards on the final bend under pressure and throughout the run home.
LUELLA - raced wide early stages.
IVANA LEGACY - driver A Armour was issued with a warning for using his whip free of the rein on several occasions and with more than a wrist only flicking motion.
AIMEE'S FIRST MEDDLE - paced roughly early stages and had to be restrained. When spoken to regarding the performance, trainer R Dunn explained that the filly had become poorly placed at the rear of the field after pacing roughly at the start and as a result had been unable to recover after racing greenly.
SWEET LORESS - driver K Butt was spoken to regarding using her whip free of the rein.
Race 2   CLARKSON SIGNS TROT
GIRLS LET LOOSE - broke near the 2100 metres. Broke again near the 700 metres losing its chance.
THAT'S THE STORY - shifted outwards prior to the start restricting the available room to outside runners. Over-raced middle stages.
SHE'S ALLTHE CRAZE - crowded prior to the start. Briefly hampered near the 2100 metres. Trotted roughly leaving the final bend.
TAKE AFTER ME - broke racing into the first bend losing considerable ground. Trotted roughly near the 900 metres and again on the final bend when weakening.
ZSA ZOE - over-raced passing the 1300 metres when being restrained to obtain cover.
CLYDE - raced wide through the early stages before being restrained towards the rear of the field near the 2000 metres.
RUM IN THE SUN - held up early stages of the run home.
KAHRESS - briefly hampered near the 2100 metres.
Race 3   DAKINS GROUP 'HERE TO HAVE FUN' HANDICAP PACE
KRUIZR - broke at the start. Over-raced and hung inwards on the final bend and made contact with a sulky tyre. Driver C DeFilippi was spoken to regarding using his whip free of the rein.
BELMONT MAJOR - driver B Butt was spoken to regarding his use of the whip in the home straight being more than a wrist only flicking motion.
A BETTOR ACT - carried a flat tyre from the 500 metres. Hampered near the 400 metres.
BURLINGTON - weakened final bend. Hampered by an inside runner near the 400 metres and had to be steadied.
STARS TONIGHT - broke at the start. Weakened leaving the final bend.
HEISENBERG - paced roughly leaving the final bend.
JAZZY STAR - broke for several strides at the start.
Race 4   NZB ST'BRED HARNESS MILLION 1 FILLIES FINAL (MOBILE PACE)
There was a 6 minute delay to this race starting. Refer to WITH GRACE comment.
SHANIKA - paced roughly early stages.
AVANA - raced wide early stages.
PLATINUM - held up for a short distance near the 250 metres.
SHARDS IN MANHATTAN - badly inconvenienced by a weakening runner on the final bend causing the filly to lose ground.
SHOW ME HEAVEN - raced roughly near the 1100 metres. Weakened final bend.
BRAEVIEW KELLY - paced roughly in the score up and was out of position at the start. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the filly. Raced wide early stages.
MISS HATHAWAY - weakened final bend and lay inwards in the run home.
TOWN ECHO - hung inwards and paced roughly final bend and continued to hang inwards in the run home. Driver M Purdon advised the horse had lay in and contacted its knee. Mr Purdon was spoken to regarding using his whip free of the rein.
WITH GRACE - acting on the advice of the two on course Veterinary Surgeons, Stewards spoke with trainer R Dunn regarding their intention to scratch his filly due to an eye ailment. Mr Dunn subsequently filed a Request for a Ruling disputing the Stewards decision on the grounds that his horse had been under the care of his personal Veterinarian during the week who had advised him of its suitability to race. After considering the submissions of Mr Dunn and the two on course Vets, the JCA declared WITH GRACE a late scratching at 6.40pm. A veterinary clearance is required prior to resuming.
MANHATTAN - raced wide without cover from the 1100 metres.
Race 5   HAPPY 90TH BIRTHDAY JILL BUSH MOBILE PACE
GILLIGANS ISLAND - weakened final bend.
WATCH ME NOW - driver K Barclay was spoken to regarding using her whip free of the rein.
TYRON'S BIT OF LEMON - raced wide early stages.
ENCHANTEE - raced wide early stages.
MEMPHIS TENNESSEE - held up final bend.
THAT ALEXANDER GUY - over-raced early stages. Held up final bend.
ESPECIAL - held up final bend and for the majority of the home straight.
Race 6   NZB STANDARDBRED HARNESS MILLION 1 TROT (MOBILE TROT)
EUROKASH - trotted roughly for a short distance racing into the first bend. Driver B Hope (assisted by R May) was shown the films and warned for the manner he drove near the 1300 metres when shifting ground outwards which momentarily forced OUTAMYWAY wider on the track.
SON OF PATRICK - out of position at the start. Driver S Phelan was spoken to regarding his use of the whip in the home straight being more than a wrist only flicking motion.
FRANCO JORIK - lay outwards through the final straight.
OUTAMYWAY - trotted roughly early stages. Momentarily raced three wide when EUROKASH shifted ground outwards near the 1300 metres. Again trotted roughly on the final bend and in the home straight.
I SEE FIRE - out of position at the start. Trotted roughly on the final bend then broke near the 250 metres.
SALVO - broke after 150 metres losing all chance. A warning was placed on the filly's barrier record. Trainer/driver J Harrington reported that the gelding had over-raced in the score up and through the early stages.
LEAF STRIDE - out of position at the candy pole. When spoken to regarding the performance, trainer P Williamson advised the horse had to work hard in the early stages to obtain the lead however he was slightly disappointed with the effort.
Race 7   STEVIE GOLDING - HARCOURTS CANTERBURY PARK CUP (HCP TROT)
THE DOMINATOR - broke after 200 metres losing considerable ground. Weakened final bend.
WOODSTONE - broke near the 350 metres.
HABIBI INTA - underwent a pre-race veterinary examination after not having raced for a length of time and was cleared to start.
WINTERFELL - trotted roughly middle stages. Broke near the 350 metres. Authorisation of 5th placing was withheld until Stewards were satisfied the gelding had complied with the Breaking Horse Regulations.
Race 8   LAMB & HAYWARD CANTERBURY CLASSIC (STAND PACE)
TANGO TARA - driver J Curtin was warned for using his whip free of the rein on several occasions and with more than a wrist only flicking motion.
DADNDAVE - paced roughly for a short distance after 150 metres. Broke near the 2300 metres checking trailing runners. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding.
HENRY HUBERT - broke at the start. Checked near the 2300 metres having to shift ground outwards to avoid a breaking runner.
NANDOLO - checked near the 2300 metres having to shift ground outwards to avoid a breaking runner.
U MAY CULLECT - checked near the 2300 metres having to shift ground outwards to avoid a breaking runner. Hung inwards final bend and struck pylons. Continued to lay inwards throughout the run home.
THEFIXER - checked near the 2300 metres having to shift ground outwards to avoid a breaking runner. Weakened from the 900 metres and was retired from the race. A post-race veterinary examination showed the gelding to have suffered an atrial fibrillation. Stood down pending a Veterinary clearance which is to include the results of an ECG.
SPANKEM - checked near the 2300 metres having to shift ground outwards to avoid a breaking runner.
SELF ASSURED - checked and broke near the 2300 metres when having to shift ground outwards to avoid a breaking runner.
Race 9   GO MEDIA HANDICAP TROT
MADELEINE STOWE - held up final bend and in the early stages of the run home.
THE BLOSS - driver B Borcoskie was spoken to regarding using his whip free of the rein.
SUNDONS FLYER - over-raced middle stages. Held up final bend and in the early stages of the run home.
DOFF YOUR CAP - raced wide early stages. Lay out through the final straight.
MUSCLE MOUNTAIN - trotted roughly through the early stages and got back as a result. Raced wide from the 1000 metres. Driver B Hope was spoken to regarding using his whip free of the rein.
Race 10   PI & GJ KENNARD BLOODSTOCK MOBILE PACE
BUNDORAN - held up final bend.
TIEBREAKER - hung inwards in the early stages.
CHUBBY CHECKER - raced wide in the early stages.
FOLKLORE - locked wheels with YOSSI in the early stages and in doing so sustained a punctured sulky tyre.
DOWN TO THE BONE - raced wide in the early and middle stages.
KOENIGSEGG - raced wide from the1500 metres and without cover for the final 900 metres. Paced roughly near the 900 metres. Again paced roughly final bend.
YOSSI - raced fiercely in the early stages. Locked wheels with FOLKLORE racing into the first bend.
LAVER - broke shortly after the start after shifting in and making contact with the sulky wheel of YOSSI losing considerable ground. Driver R May admitted driving carelessly in this incident and after penalty submissions the JCA suspended his licence from the conclusion of racing on 4 October up to and including 11 October 2020 (3 days). Over-raced middle stages. Held up final bend.
PAY ME VISA - had difficulty obtaining clear racing room throughout the run home.
Race 11   FIRST DIRECT TAXIS MOBILE PACE
SWAP OVER - raced roughly in the early stages and lost ground.
NED KELLY - broke near the 350 metres when leading hampering trailing runners. A post-race Veterinary examination showed no abnormality. A warning was placed on the gelding's racing record.
FIXED ODDS - over-raced near the 1350 metres and became awkwardly placed close to the sulky of GOT YOU COVERED resulting in an easing of the pace. Hung inwards on the final bend and raced roughly. Hampered by a breaking runner final bend.
GOT YOU COVERED - raced wide early stages.
STEPHS BOY - raced wide early stages. Hampered by a breaking runner final bend. Weakened over the final stages.
IN CHEVRON WE TRUST - hampered near the 1350 metres.
REINIMIN PATRON - hampered near the 1350 metres. Hampered by a breaking runner final bend.

ALLABOUT TIME - broke after 150 metres when improving wide on the track. Paced roughly through the middle stages. Continued to pace roughly in the home straight and was unable to be fully driven out. Authorisation of 1st placing was withheld until it was confirmed the filly had complied with the Breaking Horse Regulations in the early stages.
