Junior driver M Hill (WATCH ME NOW) assisted by B Orange was shown a replay and spoken to advisedly to ensure he makes a greater effort to prevent his runner from shifting outwards leaving the final bend and in the home straight.

Race 1   PGG WRIGHTSON PACE
STARKERS - over-raced middle stages. Shifted outwards passing the 1100 metres making contact with the sulky of SIMPLY SHAZ before shifting back to the inside and racing over track markers. Driver M Love was shown a replay and warned for his lack of control. Broke passing the 400 metres losing all chance. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding. Will now be drawn unruly at the request of trainer E Latimer.
MOSSDALE MAC - broke at the start losing some ground.
SIMPLY SHAZ - broke briefly at the start then hampered by a breaking runner losing some ground. Contacted by STARKERS passing the 1100 metres when that runner shifted outwards resulting in driver J Morrison becoming unbalanced in the sulky for a short distance.
Race 2   FAT SALLY'S PUB & RESTAURANT TROT
MAUI - broke shortly after the start. Broke again near the 2100 metres losing considerable ground.
PASTRANA - trotted roughly in the early stages. Trotted roughly final bend and broke entering the home straight.
DEM BONES DEM BONES - cleared from the unruly for standing starts.
AMERICAN VIKING - hampered by a breaking runner shortly after the start.
ONE OVER ALL - tangled away. Trotted roughly near the 1800 metres when being restrained to obtain cover. Over-raced middle stages.
PRINCE RANIER - hampered and broke shortly after the start.
SHANDON BELLS - paced at the start for a short distance. Again paced racing into the first bend having to be restrained by its driver.
SHEZA MIGHTY MONARCH - broke at the start. Stood down to complete a satisfactory trial from a stand.
ILSAS SON - tangled away. Over-raced middle stages when leading. Lay inwards on the final bend striking a track marker. Continued to lay inwards in the home straight and briefly shifted into the passing lane despite the efforts of driver R Anderson.
Race 3   MORRISONS SADDLERY & FEED MOBILE PACE
VON ART - driver C Ferguson admitted driving carelessly near the 400 metres by shifting inwards when insufficiently clear of ROCKNROLL MAMA which was checked and broke. After penalty submissions the JCA suspended his licence from the conclusion of racing today up to and including 1 October 2020 (2 days).
FOR TODAY - hung inwards and paced roughly final bend.
ROCKNROLL MAMA - checked and broke near the 400 metres.
Race 4   DAVID OVENS BUILDING / PICK & SHOVEL WINE MOBILE PACE
KERALA STAR - paced roughly racing into the first bend. Held up final bend and in the early stages of the run home. Driver J Curtin was issued with a warning to exercise care when shifting ground near the 250 metres.
SOUTHERN STARR - weakened final bend.
SURFERS DELIGHT - lay inwards when improving wide leaving the final bend and had to be corrected by its driver. Continued to lay inwards in the run home.
SMIFFY'S TERROR - hung inwards final bend and struck a track marker.
SNEAK A PEEK - trainer B Mowbray was issued a $100 Minor Infringement Notice for presenting the gelding with fixed deafeners which had not been notified. Raced wide into the first bend. Raced greenly at various stages during the running. Driver M Williamson reported the inside hopple shortener failed to release.
HOT N GOLD - held up final bend. Briefly hampered near the 250 metres by an inside runner. Lay inwards in the run home.
Race 5   VETERINARY CENTRE OAMARU BY THE BIG BLUE CROSS MOBILE PACE
DALNESS ARIZONA - briefly crowded near the 200 metres when weakening.
JENABELLA - hung outwards in the score up and was out of position at the start. Continued to hang outwards in the early stages. Held up final bend.
WOODLEA DIEGO - over-raced in the early stages when being restrained to the rear of the field. Raced wide final bend.
MIGHTY REACTOR - held up early and middle stages of the home straight. Paced roughly near the 200 metres.
PRO SURFER - paced roughly final bend.
Race 6   WAITAKI REFRIGERATION LTD TROT
GOLD CHAIN - began awkwardly.
DEBORAHS GEM - held up final bend and hung inwards near the 250 metres and struck several track markers.
SONOMA TYRON - late scratching at 6.20am on veterinary advice. Stood down pending a veterinary clearance.
PAT THE MONKEY - broke passing the 1800 metres and was unable to be returned to a trot for a considerable distance. A warning was placed on the gelding's racing record.
MICKEY JAY - broke on the final bend. Stood down pending a satisfactory trial.
JAGUAR BAY - underwent a pre-race veterinary examination after rearing in the birdcage, losing its balance and was cleared to start. Raced wide early stages. When questioned regarding the performance, driver B Williamson reported he was very disappointed with the effort and could offer no explanation. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Stewards will follow up with connections in the coming days.
RITES OF ZHOU - trotted roughly through the middle stages losing ground. Weakened final bend.
MAJESTIC ROSE - raced wide early stages. Driver L Dobbs will be spoken to regarding the manner in which he used his whip inside the final 400 metres.
Trainer B Williamson advised Stewards on 22 September that blood tests taken from JAGUAR BAY revealed a high white cell count with the mare being treated necessitating her scratching from today's engagement.
Driver L Dobbs (MAJESTIC ROSE) was warned for using his whip when out of contention.
Trainer E Latimer advised on 4 November that MICKEY JAY has had its Off hind Intertarsal joint injected since last racing.
Race 7   ONE SMART COFFEE (JUNIOR DRIVERS) MOBILE PACE
BONNY'S GEM - held up final bend. Shifted up the track under pressure over the concluding stages.
PETE'S DASH - held up final bend.
MIGHTY LOOEE - raced wide early stages until improving to the parked position near the 1500 metres.
FREDDIESAM - held up final bend.
MAKASAR BOY - paced roughly through the early stages.
Race 8   WILLIAMSON RACING STABLES HANDICAP TROT
PLAYBOY'S BROTHER - lay inwards leaving the final bend while weakening and struck several track markers.
SUPERFAST LAD - began awkwardly.
FANNY HILL - over-raced middle stages. Held up early stages of the home straight.
