Race 1 - THE CLUBHOUSE OPEN 7 DAYS HANDICAP TROT
IVEGOTBILLS - An investigation into the perceived lack of vigour displayed by driver N Chilcott driving IVEGOTBILLS in the home straight was opened . Stewards took a statement from Ms Chilcott and reviewed the video coverage with her. The hearing was adjourned to allow Stewards to further investigate the matter.

Race 7 - THE BOX SEAT RETURNS SEPT 23RD HANDICAP PACE
Co-trainer N Purdon advised Stewards on 19 September that FABRIZIO would probably be returning to Canterbury due to a lack of suitable races programmed in the immediate future. Mr Purdon also advised that IM A GIGOLO would be exported to the USA where it is owned.

Race 1   CONGRATS TIM VINCE 100 WINNERS MOBILE PACE
COMEDY ACT - Driver P Clabby reported that a sulky tyre deflated during the running.
HIGHVIEW JUSTICE - held up final turn and early stages of the run home.
A BETTER DANCER - back from position throughout the score up. Driver C Wigg was cautioned and reminded of her obligations to maintain her barrier position despite there being a communication issue with the Starter early in the score up. Miss Wigg was questioned regarding the tactics she adopted in that after restraining to the rear over the early stages she then elected to move forward three wide without cover and raced in that position for the remainder of the journey before weakening to finish in 9th place beaten 5.9 lengths. Miss Wigg stated that it had been her intention to go forward early as A BETTER DANCER is one paced and had performed best when driven on the speed previously, however the gelding had dropped the bit in the score up and raced lethargically over the early stages. She further explained that she had hoped to receive cover racing through the front straight to receive the bell but this did not eventuate and A BETTER DANCER had disappointed when failing to run on over the final stages.
SUNSET RED - back from position at the candy pole with a warning being issued to Driver M Northcott. Held up throughout the home straight when unable to obtain clear running.
CLIFTON FLUTTER - held up final turn and throughout the run home.
QUARTERBACK - raced three wide with cover from the 1100m and was unable to make much impression over the final stages to finish in 8th position beaten 5.3 lengths. When questioned regarding the performance Driver G Cronin advised that the gelding had not been suited by the distance of today's event.
COUNT LANDECK - raced three wide early.
Race 2   M WHITE RACING MOBILE TROT
BULLER WHITEBAIT - trotted roughly under pressure late in the run home and then broke just short of the winning post finishing in 4th place but was lapped on by the 5th placed ROMEO FOXTROT. A Protest against this runner's 4th placing was not contested by connections and the JCA relegated the mare to 5th place.
ALANA - broke shortly after the start losing its chance.
DEMOLITION MAN - trotted roughly for several strides near the 700m when shifting away from the marker line. Hampered by MANCHESTER'S ECLIPSE passing the 600m.
TARUKENGA - commenced to give ground inside the 600m and was then checked by a breaking runner and galloped.
ROMEO FOXTROT - trotted roughly near the 250m.
MANCHESTER'S ECLIPSE - unable to maintain its position in the score up and was back a length at dispatch. Lay out badly racing down the back straight the final time losing ground and then broke approaching the 500m.
ANASTASIA ASHLEY - had to be steadied approaching the 800m and trotted roughly for a stride.
Race 3   THE BOX SEAT RETURNS SEPT 23RD MOBILE PACE
NEW FRONTIER - commenced to shift outwards near the 1600m but was then corrected back down to the marker line. Held up early final turn.
LITTLE GEM - lay in entering and rounding the first turn. Continued to lay in at various stages.
SIGNSEELDELIVER - had to be steadied near the 1500m when NEW FRONTIER shifted back down onto the marker line.
PATAGONIAN PRINCESS - broke shortly after the start losing ground before settling. This mare was placed back on the Unruly for future mobiles.
ANGEL OF MONTANA - a post race veterinary examination revealed the filly had suffered an atrial fibrillation and it was stood down pending a veterinary clearance.
SIX TIMES A LADY - back several lengths from the unruly position at dispatch. Held up early final turn.
Race 4   WHITE STAR STABLES MOBILE TROT
GRIFFINS HALL - broke approaching the 50m and failed to settle. A Protest was lodged against this runner's 4th placing on the grounds that it broke in excess of 50m in the final 200m. The JCA upheld the Protest and disqualified GRIFFINS HALL.
LITTLEBITOFLOVE - raced clear in the lead middle stages. Broke near the 70m but soon settled. Driver J Abernethy was questioned regarding his driving tactics during the middle stages. Mr Abernethy explained that the gelding had commenced to race keenly after being driven along to cross THE LAST GAMBLE to lead near the 1600m and that it then took some distance to steady the gelding.
RAVE NATION - broke in the score up and was well out of position at dispatch before then being retired from the event.
FLYING TAINE - lost the off fore shin boot near the 950m. Checked and broke at the 200m and was retired from the event.
MAGNAFIQUE - broke near the 250m checking several trailing runners. A warning was placed on the mare's racing manners record.
MY ROYAL ROXY - raced in restricted room approaching the 400m and had to be eased losing several lengths. Checked and broke at the 200m losing its chance.
MAJESTIC STRIDE - raced four wide from the 750m.
Race 5   ARNA DONNELLY HARNESS RACING MOBILE PACE
ITSTHEFINALCOUNTDOWN - raced three wide early. Broke passing the 1700m and was retired from the event. A warning was placed on the gelding's racing manners record.
EDAMFAST - back a length at dispatch despite the efforts of Driver J Abernethy. Held up final turn and early stages of the run home.
CHALBERG - held up final turn.
Race 6   ROSS PAYNTER STABLES MOBILE TROT
GEORGE - commenced to weaken from the 600m.
AS FREE AS AIR - over-raced middle stages. Broke approaching the 750m losing its chance.
LADY BE GOOD - Driver D Ferguson advised that he did not activate the removeable deafeners due to having the field covered.
SUNNY PEGASUS - raced three wide early. Locked wheels briefly with HARRY H near the 750m. Weakened passing the 400m.
HARRY H - hampered by the breaking AS FREE AS AIR near the 750m and then locked wheels briefly with SUNNY PEGASUS.
KIMKAR DASH - back from position in the latter stages of the score up. Broke under pressure near the 100m.
Race 7   DUNSTAN HORSE FEEDS MOBILE PACE
BETTERBEBETTER - raced three wide early.
HIGH POINT - held up final turn and then had some difficulty obtaining clear running in the home straight.
JACK TAR - raced greenly in the score up and was back from position at dispatch.
MACH LITTLE SOAKY - held up over the final stages when unable to secure clear running. Driver M White advised that he did not activate sliding blinds and deafeners as a result.
ABOUT TURN - raced four wide from the 700m. Junior driver L Whittaker, assisted by T Hall, admitted a charge under Rule 869(2) in that he used his whip on more occasions than permitted under Clause (b) of the Use of the Whip Regulation and the JCA imposed a fine of $300.00.
YOUNG CONQUEROR - over-raced when being restrained early and raced three wide for some distance before crossing to sit outside the leader near the 1100m.

WE HAVE A MACH TWO - Driver J Stormont admitted a charge under Rule 869(2) in that he used his whip on more occasions than permitted under Clause (b) of the Use of the Whip Regulation and was fined $200 by the JCA.
LYNTON CREEK - raced three wide early.
LAVAZZA - raced three wide early and middle stages.
PULL THE OTHER LEG - raced four wide from the 600m.
PIALLIGO - raced three wide early and middle stages.
Race 9   MIKE BERGER STABLES MOBILE PACE
DOWN THE HATCH - held up final turn. Contacted two marker pegs approaching the 50m when improving to the inside of MAC'S TOMADO. A Protest was lodged against the 2nd placing of this runner on the grounds that it gained an advantage by obtaining a run to which it was not entitled along the passing lane in the home straight. After hearing the relative evidence and viewing the replays the Protest was dismissed by the JCA.
CARSE O FERN TOM - raced three wide early and middle stages.
CAPTAIN MAX - raced three wide early. Held up early final turn. Paced roughly on several occasions early in the run home.
BODRUM BOY - broke shortly after the start settling at the rear. A warning was placed on the gelding's mobile barrier manners.
FRANKIE JONES - held up final turn.
ROUGH AND READY - refused to follow the mobile in the early stages of the score up and was still several lengths out of position at dispatch. A warning was placed on the gelding's mobile barrier manners.

FOREVER BETTOR - raced three wide for the first 800m. Tired final turn. A post race veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormality.
SUIDELIKE MAJOR - over-raced middle stages.
EYECON - raced three wide early and middle stages before crossing to sit outside the leader at the 1000m.
NEW YORK MINUTE - raced three wide from the 1200m. Lay in near the 750m and paced roughly for several strides.
SATCHMO - broke near the 1600m losing several lengths before settling. Raced three wide with cover from the 1200m.
THE BANKER - raced three wide with cover early and middle stages before crossing to race outside the leader near the 750m.
