Race 6 - HARLIWICH HOLDINGS MOBILE PACE
Driver T Williams (I'M JIMMY JAMES) admitted a charge under Rule 869(3)(b) for driving carelessly on the final bend causing interference and the JCA suspended his licence from the conclusion of racing on 26 July up to and including 30 July 2020 (2 days).

Race 1 - McMILLAN EQUINE FEEDS PACE
Trainer M Purvis advised Stewards on 22 July that KWIK SPORT was found to have soreness in a fetlock following its run at Addington on Sunday with the fetlock being injected in consequence.
Race 3 - XCM SPORT HANDICAP PACE
Trainer P Court advised Stewards on 22 July that STICK MAN has recovered well following a tough run last week and in his opinion would improve with that run.
Driver M Anderson (JIMMY CANNON) admitted using his whip on more occasions than permitted and the JCA suspended his licence from the conclusion of racing on 31 July up to and including 9 August 2020 (4 days).

Race 1   FAHEY FENCE AD MOBILE PACE
FAST ACE - broke in the score up losing considerable ground. A warning was placed on the gelding's barrier record.
TYPHOON TERE - raced wide early stages.
Race 2   McMILLAN EQUINE FEEDS NZ JUNIOR DRIVERS (HEAT 1) MOB PACE
I'M JIMMY JAMES - shifted outwards near the 600 metres and struck the sulky wheel of FUN IN THE DARK and paced roughly for several strides. Driver B Hope was shown the film and cautioned for the manner in which he shifted ground after taking into account that FUN IN THE DARK had also shifted ground in front of him.
SPICY GIRL BECQUI - presented with removable deafeners which had not been notified. Trainer B Mowbray was issued a $100 Minor Infringement Notice.
IDEAL RULE - when spoken to regarding the mare's improved performance the connections advised that after last week's disappointing performance they had not intended to nominate but changed their mind when reviewing the nominations. They added that the horse's workload had been dramatically reduced which clearly the horse had been the better for.
ART BANKER - the two minutes strap came adrift during the running.
Race 3   FAHEY SKIP & WASTE/GARDEN CITY SKIPS HANDICAP TROT
A false start was declared when the barrier strand got caught in the legs of CHIEF OF STAFF.
ANDOVERLOV - began awkwardly. Tired from the 700 metres. When spoken to regarding the gelding's performance, trainer P Nairn advised he was disappointed with the horse's efforts and will have the horse further examined in the coming days by the stable vet. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
STEEL DUST - began awkwardly. Trotted roughly for a short distance near the 900 metres when caught flat footed by an increase in the pace. Raced wide from the 700 metres.
TAKE AFTER ME - broke near the 2300 metres then paced when being restrained and lost its chance.
AORANGI - trotted roughly over the concluding stages and lay outwards over the final stages.
MISSALYSSA - driver T Williams reported he did not release the mare's deafeners.
CHIEF OF STAFF - broke after 200 metres.
ONLY ONE WAY - hung inwards on the bend near the 2100 metres and lost ground. Hung inwards and struck pylons on the final bend.
AMERICAN PRIDE - broke at the start.
THE BLOSS - raced wide from the 1000 metres.
Trainer P Nairn advised Stewards on 29 July that ANDOVERLOV has had its hocks and back treated since racing at Addington last Friday.
Race 4   COMPASS POOLS 2YO MOBILE PACE
KEISHA - raced greenly near the 1100 metres hanging out and then in for some distance.
NINA SIMONE - over-raced when being restrained near the 1500 metres.
WITH GRACE - raced wide in the early stages.
ROCK LEGEND - raced wide in the early stages. Over-raced near the 900 metres when being restrained.
MAJOR MOOSE - out of position at the start despite the efforts of driver M Lewis.
PACE N PRIDE - Stewards questioned driver N Rasmussen regarding the manner in which she had driven her runner out over the final stages as to whether she could have placed the colt under more pressure. After considering Ms Rasmussen's explanation Stewards adjourned the matter.
PACE N PRIDE - Stewards concluded an inquiry into the handling of this colt by driver N Rasmussen over the final stages with reference to a perceived lack of vigour. Ms Rasmussen explained that her colt was having it's first race day start and had over-raced in the early stages, so when the opportunity arose near the 1300 metres she shifted the horse into the three wide line and then forward to the parked position at the 800 metres. Ms Rasmussen added that the horse did initially respond when tried with the whip but to her had peaked on it's run soon after and so she had resorted to the reins to continue encouraging her runner home. Stewards accepted the submissions of Ms Rasmussen however reminded her of the expectations upon drivers to use all reasonable measures to ensure they obtain the best possible finishing position.
Race 5   APOLLO PROJECTS MOBILE PACE
FRANCO TEXAS - was restrained into the first bend.
EASTWOOD IDEAL - driver C Thornley will be spoken to regarding the manner he shifted inwards racing into the first bend.
COPPERHEAD ROSE - driver C Markham was spoken to regarding his use of the whip on the final bend and in the early stages of the run home.
Race 6   McMILLAN EQUINE FEEDS NZ JUNIOR DRIVERS (HEAT 2) MOB TROT
RACHMANINOV - hung inwards under pressure leaving the final bend and dislodged track markers.
THE EYE OF THE TIGER - tired from the 500 metres.
LISA MARIE P - tired from the 700 metres.
CARNEGIE HALL - weakened on the final bend.
JIMMY CARTER - raced wide in the early stages.
ALADDIN SANE - raced wide from the 800 metres.
THE PLAYER - inconvenienced in the score up with a false start declared.
EASY PICKINGS - broke in the score up inconveniencing THE PLAYER resulting in a false start being declared. A warning was placed on the gelding's barrier record. Out of position at the re-start. Broke over the concluding stages when clear of the 5th placed runner.
Race 7   McMILLAN EQUINE FEEDS NZ JUNIOR DRIVERS (HEAT 3) HCP PACE
PERCY - broke at the start.
RAKE - broke briefly shortly after the start.
MACHS MARETA - broke briefly shortly after the start.
STICK MAN - shifted inwards at the top of the straight.
GLACIER COASTER - over-raced through the middle stages. Placed in restricted room leaving the final bend when runners either side shifted ground marginally. Driver N Delany (assisted by R Close) was fined $250 by the JCA after he admitted using his whip on more occasions than permitted.
BUCKSKIN - raced wide in the early stages.
STANDOUT - over-raced during the middle stages.
Race 8   ISAAC CONSTRUCTION HANDICAP PACE
HEISENBERG - began awkwardly.
SELF ASSURED - hampered soon after the start.
Race 9   ONGRADE DRAINAGE & EXCAVATION LTD MOBILE PACE
ROCKNROLL ROD - when questioned regarding the performance, driver J Cox explained that today the runner was presented in fresh condition having not raced for two weeks which he believed caused the gelding to over-race when leading. He added that the horse had made rapid improvement up the ratings recently and needed to race more tractably to be competitive against better class horses.
Race 10   CURLE CONTRACTING MOBILE TROT
OVERZEALOUS - out of position at the candy pole. Driver P Davis was issued with a caution.
MONRIKA - over-raced through the middle stages.
MADELEINE STOWE - raced wide in the early stages before being restrained to the rear.
Race 11   TAGGART EARTHMOVING FILLIES & MARES MOBILE PACE
STORM - over-raced middle stages after unsuccessfully vying for the front in the early stages.
SAGANO - driver K Butt reported she had not released the mare's deafeners.
SPELLBOUND - paced roughly rounding the final bend having to be steadied.
GEMMA MAC - held up throughout the run home.
Race 12   CIVIL AND LAND CONSTRUCTION LTD MOBILE PACE
IT'S ALL ABOUT FAITH - over-raced early and middle stages. Driver M Purdon will be spoken to regarding the manner he drove near the 900 metres and on the final bend when allowing his runner to trail a wheel.
SOMEKINDAWONDERFUL - held up on the final bend.
