CALYPSO ROCK - placed in restricted room leaving the final bend and raced roughly for several strides in consequence.
REINIMIN PATRON - locked sulky stays with ADMIRABLE in the early stages when easing that runner inwards. Soon after locked wheels with the three-wide LE TISSIER losing its chance. Stewards questioned drivers G Smith (REINIMIN PATRON) and R Holmes (LE TISSIER) regarding this where it was established that REINIMIN PATRON's sulky had flung outwards after releasing from the contact with ADMIRABLE and hooked the wheel of LE TISSIER which was being restrained. Stewards did not apportion blame to any individual driver but did speak with G Smith regarding making every effort to drive with care.
VINCENT VAN GONE - unsuccessfully contested the lead in the early stages with the colt over-racing thereafter. Driver G O'Reilly then shifted into the parked position near the 1000 metres with the colt racing fiercely for some distance before being taken to the front near the 700 metres. Weakened in the early stages of the run home.
LE TISSIER - locked wheels with REINIMIN PATRON after 150 metres losing considerable ground.

CHEDDAR VALLEY - lay outwards just short of the finish.
HELLS SHADOW - paced roughly then broke shortly after the start. A warning was placed on the filly's barrier record.
ANNIE RICHTER - raced wide in the early stages.
FANCY - had to be steadied just short of the finish when placed in restricted room after runners either side shifted ground.
EASTWOOD ISABELLA - hampered in the early stages having to shift wider around a breaking runner. Returned to the stable with blood in its mouth with a veterinary examination confirming the mare had bitten her tongue.
Race 4   $12 BURGER & BEER SPECIAL PACE

TOM MARTIN - hung inwards on the final bend and paced roughly in the home straight.
KRUG - driver B Orange reported he did not release the winner's deafeners.

Race 7   SPECTATORS - FOLLOW US ON ALL SOCIALS MOBILE PACE
RED ENVY - Stewards spoke with trainer R Todd regarding the performance of his filly which after trailing throughout was not able to capitalise on its economical run throughout. Mr Todd explained that he was surprised by the amount of support his horse had had since winning a trial on the 17th of June but notwithstanding this, was still disappointed with her efforts over the final stages. Stewards will follow up with Mr Todd in the coming days.

TANGO TARA - paced roughly after 100 metres and had to be restrained. Held up late in the run home.
CHANGE IS GOOD - held up near the 50 metres having to shift ground inwards. Stewards questioned driver T Williams as to why he did not utilise the passing lane in the early and middle stages of the run home. Mr Williams explained that his mare had been inclined to lay outwards in the final straight and then when he did attempt to shift inwards approaching the 50 metres she had objected taking much more of an effort than Williams thought would have been required. He added that the rein pricker had been removed prior to tonight's race with this being a consequential effect.
MIKEY MAGUIRE - over-raced middle stages.
MATT DAMON - hung outwards through the final straight. Driver M Anderson reported this had limited his ability to pressure the gelding in the run to the line.
Race 9   SPECTATORS - POP-UP KITCHEN MOBILE PACE
IM A GIGOLO - when spoken to regarding the gelding's performance, co-trainer N Purdon could only advise he had been disappointed with its efforts. A post-race veterinary examination showed no apparent abnormalities. Stewards will follow up with the connections in the coming days.
WILLISON - hung inwards in the run home.
BAILEYS KNIGHT - raced wide early stages. Tired from the 500 metres.
