CHANGEAROUND - shifted outwards under pressure on the final bend before being corrected. Driver S Wigg was issued with a warning for the lack of control she had over her runner at this time. Ms Wigg admitted using her whip on more occasions than permitted by Clause (b) of the Use of Whip Regulations and the JCA suspended her licence from the conclusion of racing on 1 July up to and including 15 July 2020 (3 days).
CHEDDAR MADE BETA - held up leaving the final bend and in the early stages of the run home.
FLAME LADY - locked wheels with RUSSIAN EXPRESS for a short distance near the 200 metres. Stewards spoke with driver P Wallace regarding this. It was determined that Mr Wallace had looked to improve between runners in anticipation of CHANGEAROUND shifting further outwards however this did not eventuate leaving him to race in restricted room. Mr Wallace was spoken to regarding improving into a run that could not accommodate his horse and sulky.
ALLANDALE - weakened near the 600 metres.
FOUR STARZZZ SHIRAZ - paced roughly rounding the first bend.
GLACIER COASTER - raced wide from the 600 metres.

MUCHACHA BONITA - broke after 150 metres losing all chance.
BUILD A BRIDGE - when spoken to regarding the mare's performance, co-trainer/driver J Geddes advised he had received a good run throughout however the mare had failed to run on as expected in the final straight. Stewards will follow up with Mr Geddes in the coming days.

HONEYS SON - weakened from the 400 metres. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a high heart rate and the gelding was sensitive on palpitation in the near hind suspensory. Stable representative A Tomlinson explained they had added more weight to the horse's front legs today along with an overcheck in an attempt to aid the gelding's gait and whilst this had worked had been disappointed with its efforts over the final stages. Mrs Tomlinson added that HONEYS SON had not been suited to today's track and it was now their intention to give the horse a freshen up and then only race the horse on tracks which were not rain affected.

She also said that after being caught in a three wide position she had been unable to improve due to the track conditions and with horses behind her was unable to restrain to the rear.
TARA BROMAC - driver B Orange reported he sustained a flat tyre during the early stages of the race.

Race 9   FAHEY FENCE HIRE MOBILE PACE
BOSSMARO - Stewards spoke with trainer R Austin regarding the change of tactics employed after the gelding had shown gate speed today to lead which was in contrast to its recent racing pattern when drawing the front line. Mr Austin explained those two runs were immediately after being removed from the unruly with the connections deliberately cautious in how the horse was handled in the early stages of those races to avoid any further indiscretions. Mr Austin added that today the gelding benefited from being able to make the most of an inside draw and good speed away from the mobile.
BIRD OF PARADISE - paced roughly over the final stages. A post-race veterinary examination confirmed the mare had bled. Stood down for the mandatory 30 days with a veterinary clearance including a scope required prior to completing one satisfactory trial before resuming.
