Race 1   FIRST FOR FORD AT AVON CITY FORD MOBILE PACE
PROSPECT PARK - placed in restricted room near the 250 metres when runners from the inside shifted outwards.
ALREADY GONE - locked sulkies with DELIGHTFUL GNP over the final stages.
DELIGHTFUL GNP - shifted in marginally over the concluding stages locking sulkies with ALREADY GONE. A protest was lodged against the filly's 1st placing by the connections of ALREADY GONE alleging the interference over the final stages had been sufficient enough to cost their mare from winning but was dismissed by the JCA.
WHERE'S DADDY - weakened over the final stages. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities other than a slow recovery.
HOT STARFF - held up in the early stages of the run home.
HELLS SHADOW - raced roughly shortly after the start when being restrained.
JAFFA JOSH - paced roughly after being shifted out near the 700 metres.
Race 2   AVON CITY FORD '30 YEARS SUPPORTING HARNESS RACING' MOB PACE
ALTA SENSATION - weakened over the final stages. When spoken to regarding the gelding's performance, driver and co-trainer N Purdon reported that having to race parked for the final 1200 metres had been unfavorable in the gelding's first race day run since the 22nd of February.
TWILIGHT BROMAC - raced roughly when there was an easing of the pace near the 450 metres.
BEAUDIENE HUSTLER - hung outwards throughout. Driver S O'Reilly was not able to shift her runner inwards throughout the final straight because of this resulting in it not being tested. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Stewards will again speak with the connections in the upcoming week.
ROCKET BOY(AUS) - raced wide in the early stages. Held up final bend and in the early stages of the run home.
RICK REILLY - raced roughly when there was an easing of the pace near the 450 metres.
MAJOR WILSON - raced roughly when there was an easing of the pace near the 450 metres.
JAKE - raced roughly when there was an easing of the pace near the 450 metres.

BRIGHT GLOW - broke in the score up losing considerable ground.
SUGARINSPICE - tired rounding the final bend.
SUGAR CANE - weakened near the 500 metres.
CLYDE - raced wide early stages.
CHLOE ROSE - out of position at the start. Driver B Orange reported the filly to have lay on the pole throughout the score up. Raced wide from the 900 metres.
ZSA ZOE - raced wide early stages. Broke briefly passing the 800 metres.
CARNEGIE HALL - weakened on the final bend. When spoken to regarding the performance, trainer/driver B Butt explained that his mare was prone to over-racing when being restrained and so when left in the open near the 1500 metres, allowed his horse to assume the lead in the hope that it would relax however she had continued to race keenly and dictate a strong tempo and was not able to maintain this over the final stages.
Race 4   FORD RANGER 'NO. 1 IN NZ' FILLIES & MARES MOBILE PACE
MILLWOOD MELODY - broke in the early stages and settled at the rear after having made contact with the sulky wheel of NEYVELI FRANCO which had shifted out marginally. Stewards questioned driver T Williams regarding this, where he advised that his filly had run outwards in a recent trial causing the trainer to make changes to the filly's steering gear however his horse had over-reacted and shifted inwards as the field was released and in his mind this was the main contributing factor to the incident occurring with no further action being taken.
Race 5   LEASE YOUR FORD FROM AVON CITY FORD MOBILE PACE
CRACKABRIE - over-raced middle stages when positioned outside the leader. Weakened final bend.
TERRY - out of position at the start despite the efforts of driver R Close.
LAVER - held up over the concluding stages.
THE GOVERNOR - Stewards questioned driver M Hurrell regarding his decision to not shift to a three wide position near the 600 metres instead remaining in the two wide line with him being held up on the final bend. Mr Hurrell explained that it had been his intention to follow ROLL THE DICE forward in the three wide line but was flat footed for some distance leading up to it with him losing his advantage over DUASTAR meaning he could no longer improve outwards. Mr Hurrell added that he was also reluctant to lead the three wide line forward believing he would have been shifted even further outwards. The comments of Mr Hurrell were noted.

MONARO MAKO - broke late in the score up losing considerable ground, not 150 metres. Driver M Bryers was issued with a warning for approaching the starting gate in the wrong position.

SUNDONS FLYER - broke at the 950 metres.
RUTHLESS KAYLA - a post-race veterinary examination showed the mare to have suffered an atrial fibrillation. Stood down pending a veterinary clearance.
RENEZMAE - weakened from the 500 metres. Returned to the stables with blood present in a nostril. A veterinary examination including a scope showed the mare to have not bled.
MATUA TANA - began awkwardly and was slow through the early stages adding further ground to its 25 metre handicap. Trotted roughly passing the 200 metres having to be steadied. Trotted roughly over the final stages and could not be fully pressured.
Trainer J Harrington advised Stewards on 30 June that a scope of RENEZMAE revealed a cyst near its palate. This will require a 2 week treatment with the mare again being scoped prior to continuation of her campaign.

PLUTONIUM - driver S Payne will be spoken to regarding the manner he drove on the final bend when allowing his runner to trail a wheel.
