Trainer E Crawford advised Stewards on 18 March that CABELLA NOIR has been treated for a high white cell count following its disappointing performance at Reefton on 8 March.

Race 2 - CLOCK TOWER MOTORS FILLIES & MARES PACE
Driver R Cameron admitted a breach of Rule 869(2) in that he used his whip on more occasions than permitted by the Regulations when driving GENELIS and after penalty submissions, the JCA suspended his licence from the conclusion of racing on 22 March up to and including 2 April 2020 (3 days).

Trainer B Fahey advised Stewards on 18 March that TOMBELINA has recovered well following its disappointing performance at Motukarara last weekend and will continue with her current preparation.

Race 1   ROYAL TAVERN AMATEUR DRIVERS MOBILE PACE
AUCHTERCAIRN - broke in the score up and lost all chance. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare.
STETSON - held up passing the 400 metres.
REFINE - broke racing over the crossing rounding the first bend.
ALLANDALE - raced wide when hampered by a breaking runner on the first bend. Hung inwards through the middle stages.
NUI BA DEN - no claims were lodged.
ALEXY - denied a fair start and declared a non-runner by Stewards under Rule 213(1)(j) after W Low drove in a noncompetitive manner in the early stages when the red light inadvertently came on.
BOBBY T - no claims were lodged. Trainer R Cameron was issued with a warning for presenting the gelding without the notified blinds which were applied prior to the start.
HIGHLAND REIGN - denied a fair start and declared a non-runner by Stewards under Rule 213(1)(j) after being unable to take up its correct barrier position on the second row and also because C Wigg drove in a noncompetitive manner in the early stages when the red light inadvertently came on.
FOUR STARZZZ SHIRAZ - denied a fair start and declared a non-runner by Stewards under Rule 213(1)(j) after C Negus drove in a noncompetitive manner in the early stages when the red light inadvertently came on.
Following this race the mobile driver was advised the gate was to be positioned wider on the course.
Race 2   FARMLANDS WAIMATE & MCMILLIAN EQUINE FEEDS TROT
SONNY LACHLAN - broke at the start. Trainer/driver R Holmes advised he would no longer be persevering with the gelding from his stable.
LINE A LOVE - hampered near the 700 metres by a breaking runner.
IT WASN'T ME - began awkwardly.
MASTEROFTHEMANOR - broke at the start losing its chance.
DREAMSINTHE MIST - trotted roughly through the early stages. Again trotted roughly over the concluding stages.
HASHTAG FAYE - broke passing the 200 metres.

EVIDENTLY - swung inwards at the start checking CONQUER ME. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
HANDSOME HARRY - raced ungenerously early and middle stages. Held up passing the 500 metres.
LOCH NESS FRANCO - broke at the start. Raced wide on the final bend.
LIZZIE RICHTER - broke at the start losing its chance. Trainer/driver T Chmiel advised the filly would be restricted to mobile starts in the immediate future.
UBER EXPRESS - the required veterinary clearance was received. Hung outwards at the top of the straight contacting the sulky wheel of MONGOLIAN CONQUEROR.
DAGGY LAMB - raced wide early stages.
CONQUER ME - checked at the start. Hung inwards and struck a track marker with 1600 metres to run.
GENELIS - held up early stages of the run home.
MONGOLIAN CONQUEROR - raced wide early stages. Driver B Orange reported he sustained a flat tyre over the concluding stages.
Race 5   AON INSURANCE COLTS & GELDINGS MOBILE PACE
MOSSMAN - back slightly at the start. Broke passing the 1200 metres. A warning was placed on the racing record of the colt.
MANON THE RUN - crowded just prior to the start and raced roughly. Broke shortly after the start when attempting to shift around the breaking THE FLYING FIJIAN. Hung inwards when improving through the back straight. Broke passing the 300 metres. A warning was placed on the gelding's racing record.
THE FLYING FIJIAN - broke at the start and continued in a gallop for some distance striking track markers on the first bend. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
TICKING OVER - authorisation of placings was withheld after driver R Holmes wished to review the films of the start as to whether he had been denied a fair start. After reviewing the films the matter was not proceeded with.
HELLUVA - broke in the early stages losing ground. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the colt.
PRESIDENT PAT - hung inwards rounding the final bend and paced roughly over the concluding stages.
Race 6   WAIMATE FLOORING & CUNNINGHAM PLUMBING TROT
SUNNIVUE PHILEAH - hampered by a breaking runner with 200 metres to run.
RUSTY I AM - hampered by an easing of the pace near the 1900 metres.
CALL THIS FUN - the required veterinary clearance was received. Trotted roughly in the early stages. Broke with 400 metres to run. Broke again with 80 metres to run and continued in a gallop through to the finish. Disqualified from 5th placing by the JCA.
ONE OVER DOVER - driver J Morrison was questioned regarding the manner in which he drove near the 1900 metres when BJ LINDENNY shifted ground outwards prior to him obtaining the back of FOREIGNER. Mr Morrison advised he was reluctant to place his horse under pressure given its history of breaking adding that he was unable to hold the back of FOREIGNER near the 1600 metres when the gelding trotted roughly. Stewards noted Mr Morrison's explanation. Broke with 200 metres to run hampering trailing runners. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding.
BJ LINDENNY - over-raced middle stages.
NEVERNEVERLAND - hampered by an easing of the pace near the 1900 metres. Hampered by a breaking runner with 200 metres to run.
SOME TIME - broke at the start. Hampered by a breaking runner with 200 metres to run.
SIOUX PRINCESS - broke at the start.
MISSALYSSA - raced wide middle stages. Hampered by an easing of the pace near the 1900 metres.
MAJESTIC ROSE - broke near the 250 metres.
AMULET - raced wide early stages. Hampered by an easing of the pace near the 1900 metres. Broke with 1800 metres to run. Trainer/driver G Smith advised the mare would no longer be persevered with as a racing proposition from his stable.

CANARDLY REMEMBER - shifted in abruptly near the 100 metres hampering GET IT ON and having to be straightened by driver K Tomlinson.
SZYBKA LANE - brushed track markers on the final bend.
GET IT ON - hampered by CANARDLY REMEMBER which shifted in near the 100 metres.
PLAYBOY PRINCE - raced wide early stages.
MARKHAM EYRE - raced roughly in the early stages. Held up throughout the home straight with driver R Close advising that he was not afforded the opportunity to activate the removable deafeners in consequence.
Race 8   WAIMATE TOWN & COUNTRY MOBILE PACE
MINNELLI SMILE - hung inwards and struck track markers on the first bend. Held up early stages of the run home.
UNO MIA - checked when placed in restricted room near the 1500 metres.
OMAR SHARIF - paced roughly in the early stages. Checked when placed in restricted room near the 1500 metres.
POCKET CALL - driver L Dobbs defended a charge under Rule 869(3)(b) which alleged he drove carelessly near the 1500 metres when permitting his horse to shift inwards resulting in checks to LEADING THE WAY, OMAR SHARIF and UNO MIA. After hearing evidence and viewing the films, the JCA found the charge proved and Mr Dobbs licence was suspended from the conclusion of racing on 23 March up to and including 11 April 2020 (6 days).
MAGICOL IDEAL - raced wide throughout. Driver S O'Reilly reported she sustained a flat tyre during the running.
HANDS UP JACK - held up throughout the run home. Driver K Butt reported the deafeners were not released in consequence.
SENORITA MARGARITA - late scratching on veterinary advice after being found to be lame in the near hind leg after warming up. Stood down pending a veterinary clearance.
LEADING THE WAY - checked when placed in restricted room near the 1500 metres. Driver J Morrison reported he sustained a flat tyre during the running.
Race 9   WHITESTONE LIVESTOCK WAIMATE CUP (HCP PACE)
LILAC STAR - held up final bend.
GABBY'S STAR - shifted outwards at the start checking VULCAN STAR(AUS).
VULCAN STAR(AUS) - checked shortly after the start when GABBY'S STAR shifted ground outwards.
GILLIGANS ISLAND - held up final bend.
FRANCO GARRETT - stood on the mark checking trailing runner. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
FYNN FROST - broke at the start.
JOHNNY EYRE - broke at the start.
ROCKNROLL KING - broke at the start.
NORMAN RICHARDS - hampered shortly after the start having to shift ground inwards. Held up final bend when over-racing.
NEARIS GREEN - checked by FRANCO GARRETT at the start.
