Race 1   CARTOWN MOBILE PACE
FINAL DELIGHT - beaten for gate speed. Raced three back on the marker line, held up rounding the final bend and failed to get clear racing room throughout the run home finishing in 4th place beaten 1.8 lengths. Driver B Orange reported that he did not activate the removable deafeners.
CLASSEY ROBIN - over-raced when being restrained after the start.
SONNY REACTOR - lay out when three wide early.
WAINGARO MARA - held up rounding the final turn.
Race 2   DARYLL & NICK BRADLEY MOBILE PACE
TOMMY TAHI - compounded with 1000 metres to run finishing well back. A post race veterinary examination revealed no abnormality.
CARSE O FERN CULLY - inclined to lay out at various stages.
DRUM BEAT - weakened inside the 500 metres.
SUNHI MAGIC - Driver J Curtin advised he had been unable to activate the deafeners due to the release cord breaking. The gear was inspected and found to be in satisfactory order.
Trainer A Stuart advised Stewards on 13 May that SUNHI MAGIC has been retired from racing.
Race 3   KEVIN & SHIRLEY FARRIER & ANN MCBETH MOBILE PACE
LYNTON CREEK - late scratching at 5.20 pm on veterinary advice after it was found to be lame in the right fore.
OUR WICKLOW - Driver S Phelan was cautioned for being a length back at the candy pole prior to the start.
SWEET MAGGIE RYAN - inconvenienced by a tiring runner inside the final 400 metres.
ABSOLUT RUSSIAN - weakened inside the 400 metres impeding a trailing runner.
NATURAL FIRE - broke late in the score up losing considerable ground before catching the field with approximately 1800 metres to run. Paced roughly rounding the bend near the 800 metres and was retired from the event. Driver S Doody reported that the gelding had been striking a knee. A post race veterinary examination revealed no abnormality. A warning was placed on the gelding's mobile barrier manners.
Race 4   REHAB PHYSIO HANDICAP TROT
RAVE NATION - Junior Driver F Schumacher was issued a $200 Minor Infringement Notice after his safety helmet chin strap came undone during the running.
HELGA'S MONARCH - broke approaching the 1800 metres. Broke again passing the 700 metres.
MACKALI - broke at the start and trailed the field.
MEKONG PRINCESS - broke passing the 600 metres when challenging for the lead losing its chance.
Race 5   THE COBB MANAWATU CUP (MOBILE PACE)
BUGALUGS - broke for a few strides in the middle stages of the score up before recovering to take its place prior to the start.
MILNER - inconvenienced by a breaking runner in the middle stages of the score up prior to the start.
CAPTAIN MAX - weakened from inside the 700 metres. A post race veterinary examination revealed no abnormality.
MISTER HARRIS - raced three wide early. Paced roughly rounding the final turn.
SANTANNA MACH - held up final turn and the early stages of the run home.
IVANA FLYBYE - raced three wide early and middle before crossing to lead passing the 1900 metres.
STINGER LINDENNY - over-raced middle stages. Weakened from inside the 600 metres. Junior Driver D Ferguson advised that he felt the gelding may have choked down. A post race veterinary examination revealed no abnormality.
THUNDERFROMTHETHRONE - over-raced when at the rear during the middle stages. Paced roughly for several strides near the 600 metres. Paced roughly again rounding the final turn losing ground.
Race 6   GARY BERGERSON MEMORIAL MOBILE PACE
STARRY STAR - underwent a veterinary examination prior to the event after colliding with the gate when leaving the parade ring and was cleared to start.
DEN'S LEGACY - weakened from inside the final 400 metres.
FLEETING GRIN - paced roughly rounding the final bend and lay in contacting marker pegs.
WITH REVENGE - raced three wide early until reaching the position outside the leader with 2000 metres to run. Weakened from inside the final 400 metres.
Race 7   MANAWATU TOYOTA MOBILE PACE
JIVE - failed to get clear racing room until inside the final 50 metres.
JETSON HUNTER - raced three wide with cover from the 1000 metres.
VANHALEM - three wide early. Driver S Phelan advised that the centre hopple carrier strap broke. The gear was inspected and found to be in good order.
OPAWA MACH - held up final turn and the early stages of the run home.
RIPSNORTER - raced keenly in the early stages and continued to over-race throughout. Raced three wide without cover from the 1000 metres.
Race 8   VERONICA JAYNE HAIR MOBILE PACE
SIPOWICZ - broke in the early stages of the score up and then galloped again losing its chance. A warning was placed on the gelding's mobile barrier manners.
NICKY JAY - broke passing the 1600 metres losing its chance. A warning was placed on the mare's racing manners record.
DOWNTOWN BABE - over-raced early and middle stages before being improved to race outside the leader. Continued to over-race.
