Race 1   CENTRAL TYRES & AUTOMOTIVE MOBILE TROT
LITTLEBITOFLOVE - held up early in the run home. Broke approaching the 100 metres but soon settled. The fifth placing was withheld until such time Stewards confirmed that the gelding complied with the Breaking Horses Regulation.
THE LAST GAMBLE - shifted out under pressure near the 250 metres when in the lead and had to be corrected.
LOCKSMITH - Trainer R Douglas was cautioned for presenting the gelding without the notified blinds.
ALDEBARAN BONNY - broke in the score up. Broke near the 1200 metres losing its chance.
HAKA PRIDE - broke in the score up losing its chance.
HELGA'S MONARCH - The connections advised that the mare would be racing in season.
SKEE KING - broke in the score up. Broke near the 1400 metres after becoming unbalanced travelling over the crossing.
TEARS OF JOY - broke briefly shortly after the start. Broke near the 600 metres losing its chance.
BOYZ INVASION - Trainer M House's stable representative was cautioned in regard to presenting the gelding late into the parade ring.
FIRA - lay in and trotted roughly during the score up and was out of position at the start. A post race veterinary examination showed a delayed recovery. Trainer A Donnelly advised she would contact Stewards prior to its next start at New Plymouth on Saturday if anything further is found to be amiss.
Race 2   ITM STRATFORD/DAIRY MASTER STRATFORD MOBILE PACE
BLAZING SPEED - shied away from the winning post and galloped after coming into contact with TROOPER COOPER's sulky wheel. Commenced to give ground near the 600 metres. Checked by a breaking runner passing the 500 metres losing ground and then veered out late in the run home when trailing the field and was retired from the event. A warning was placed on the gelding's racing manners.
IDEAL LINCOLN - broke in the initial stages of the score-up checking HEY GOOD LOOKIN and MOTORING MARK, both runners recovered to take their positions in behind the mobile gate.
SUNHI MAGIC - broke in the score up and was back from position at dispatch. The gelding was declared unruly for mobile starts at the Trainer's request.
KATCHING STARS - raced greenly late in the score up.
TOMMY TAHI - broke for several strides shortly after the start settling quickly.
CLASS REBEL - broke in the score up and was back from position at dispatch.
TROOPER COOPER - An investigation was held into Driver B Towers' drive on the gelding passing the 1600 metres when he briefly attempted to shift inward to obtain the trail in behind the leader HEY GOOD LOOKIN and simultaneously BLAZING SPEED shied away from the winning post shifting outward making contact with his sulky wheel. Mr Towers was given the benefit of the doubt after taking into account BLAZING SPEED's racing manners.
RAZCAL ALLEY - inconvenienced briefly passing the 1600 metres when having to take evasive action away from a galloping runner. Paced roughly early in the run home. A Minor Infringement Notice was issued and a $100.00 fine imposed on Trainer M House after a hopple centre carrier came adrift during the running.
MOTORING MARK - over-raced middle stages. Driver K Marshall advised that he lost his whip on the final turn after a trailing runner stood on it.
PATAGONIAN PRINCESS - broke shortly after the start and again passing the 500 metres losing its chance.
Race 3   AITKEN TRANSPORT/M DODUNSKI CONCRETE MOBILE PACE
LADY AMEERA - paced roughly under pressure and then broke passing the 200 metres losing its chance.
RECKON IM SMART - held up passing the 300 metres.
MOANA - broke in the score up losing its chance.
THE BANKER - broke approaching the 250 metres losing its chance.
BOSTON MANOR - broke late in the score up settling at the rear.
PANSPACIFICJET - held up early stages of the run home.
BETANCOURT - paced roughly shortly after the start.
Race 4   R VOSSELER SOLICITOR/COMMERCIAL HOTEL MOBILE PACE
LINCOLN LOVELY - lay in and was reluctant to shift ground outward over the early stages of the run home.
MY MATE BEN - raced three wide when being improved to race outside the leader approaching the 1100 metres. Under pressure early in the run home and weakened to finish in ninth place. A post race veterinary examination revealed no abnormality. Driver B Orange advised that the gelding worked hard over the initial stages of the race to achieve a prominent position which took its toll.
BEAUDIENE EMERALD - Junior Driver A Harrison advised that the sliding blinds failed to activate correctly.
DRUM WITHERS - paced roughly after travelling over the crossing inconveniencing trailing runners.
MOLLY DOOKER - briefly inconvenienced shortly after the crossing. Weakened final stages.
RED RIVER DASH - briefly inconvenienced shortly after the crossing. Broke briefly near the 1200 metres. Broke again near the 900 metres losing its chance.
ZIP CODE - unable to hold the back of WAINGARO MARA shortly after the start when that runner was driven forward which enabled LYNTON CREEK to shift down to fill the position.
MR BILLIARDS - over-raced near the 1200 metres when being restrained to take a trail in behind MY MATE BEN.
Race 5   BRIAN DARTH FUNERAL SERVICES/NTH ISLAND GRASS CHAMP HCP TROT
MAJESTIC STRIDE - trotted roughly late in the run home.
BELMONT'S GREATEST - over-raced near the 1800 metres when being restrained to take a trail.
OUR GRACIE - raced three wide from the 800 metres. Weakened in the run home.
GERSHWIN - checked and broke briefly shortly after the start losing considerable ground. Broke again losing its chance passing the 800 metres.
THE HULK - checked into a break at the start losing ground. Inconvenienced by a breaking runner shortly after the crossing.
VATICAN HILL - broke at the start and shifted inwards checking GERSHWIN and THE HULK. Became unbalanced and broke travelling over the crossing. A warning was placed on the gelding's standing start manners.
Race 6   QUINTIN OAKES BUILDERS STRATFORD CUP HANDICAP PACE
OUR WICKLOW - broke at the start losing considerable ground before catching the field. Weakened final stages.
IMAJOLLYWALLY - broke at the start. Failed to gain clear racing room throughout the home straight. A warning was placed on the gelding's barrier manners.
APOCALYPSE - broke briefly at the start and was slow away. Paced roughly passing the 800 metres. Broke passing the 600 metres and was retired from the event.
Race 7   CMK ACCOUNTANTS/MORE FM MOBILE PACE
SARABI - held up early in the run home.
ARTFILLY CRAFTED - broke late in the score up inconveniencing THE BLUE BEAT and lost considerable ground.
VENETO - the saddlecloth number came adrift inside the final 100 metres.
THE BLUE BEAT - broke in the score up losing ground, recovering then inconvenienced by a breaking runner just prior to the start. Starter G Benton was shown the video coverage by the Stewards and spoken to advisedly. Lay inwards in the run home.
Race 8   R J EAGAR LTD/MCDONALD REAL ESTATE STRATFORD MOBILE PACE
SONNY REACTOR - paced roughly in the middle stages of the score up but recovered to be in position at dispatch. Over-raced middle stages.
COMEDY ACT - paced roughly shortly after the start. Raced three wide early. Paced roughly passing the 200 metres.
EDAMFAST - raced three wide early.
JIVE - raced three wide from the 1100 metres. Locked wheels briefly with BENJAMIN BUTTON inside the 150 metres. Driver S Dickson contested a charge under Rule 869(2) in that he used his whip on more occasions than permitted under clause (b) of the Use of Whip Regulation. The charge was upheld by the JCA and his horseman's licence was suspended from 1March up to and including 19 March 2020 (4 days).
DAMETORO - broke passing the 1300 metres and trailed the field.
BENJAMIN BUTTON - held up for clear running until inside the 150 metres. Locked wheels briefly with JIVE. Junior Driver J Cowden was shown the video coverage of an incident with 1100 metres to run when he shifted ground from the running line to the two wide line to the inside of JIVE which was laying outward at the time of this manoeuvre.
Race 9   UHLENBERG HAULAGE/HEY HARVESTING MOBILE PACE
PETER FORSBERG - Trainer/driver J Abernethy advised that the gelding had tended to lay out when utilising the passing lane in the run home and that he was disappointed with the performance.
FORWARDY - held up rounding the turn and the early stages of the run home.
ONEDIN PUNTER - broke shortly after the start losing ground.
