Race 1   GOLDEN FLEECE 2020 LTD/DYNES TRANSPORT MOBILE PACE
DOC SEELSTER - there was a delay to the start when DOC SEELSTER required a sulky change. Fractious in the score up and was out of position at the start. Placed on the unruly for future mobile starts.
PLAYBOY PRINCE - held up final bend.
LEADING THE WAY - held up middle stages of the run home.
ALEXY - broke shortly after the start. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
FOUR STARZZZ SHIRAZ - raced wide until reaching the parked position passing the 1300 metres.
HIGHLAND REIGN - authorisation of 4th place was withheld until Stewards were satisfied that HIGHLAND REIGN had not gained an advantage by crossing over prior to the start. Driver C Wigg admitted an associated charge under Rule 857(7)(e) in that she crossed over prior to the start point and the JCA imposed a fine of $100. Ms Wigg advised she was unable to activate the removable gear due to the cord breaking with this gear being inspected and found to be in previously good condition.
GLACIER COASTER - broke at the start losing considerable ground. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare. Broke again in the home straight. Trainer B Negus advised that the horse would be sent for a spell.
MAURICE - raced wide in the early stages. Following this event MAURICE was claimed by D Pearce.
SHEEZA SPORT - paced roughly passing the 450 metres. Held up early and middle stages of the run home. Stewards lodged a protest against 1st place being awarded alleging a breach of Rule 857(7)(e) in that SHEEZA SPORT gained an advantage by crossing over prior to the start point. After viewing the films and hearing evidence from Stewards, trainer A Hoffman and driver B Wilmott, the JCA dismissed the protest. Mr Wilmott admitted an associated charge in that he crossed over prior to the start point and the JCA imposed a fine of $100.
ARMA TWOSPOONS - paced roughly racing over the crossing near the 1600 metres. Cleared from the unruly for future mobile starts.
Race 2   BLUFF PROTEINS LTD TROT
There was a delay to the start due to the protest in the previous race and TEASE MY TARTAN being attended to by the farrier.
ABADABADO - broke at the start.
PASSEPARTOUT - broke at the start. Broke again passing the 1800 metres losing its chance.
GO MARG - held up middle stages of the run home.
GOTTA TICKET - broke passing the 1300 metres. Broke again at the 500 metres. A final warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding.
FAST WHISPERING - hampered by JACKS MATE at the start and broke briefly. Raced wide early stages.
JACKS MATE - ran inwards at the start hampering FAST WHISPERING. Trotted roughly over the concluding stages and was unable to be fully driven out
MARANATHA ATLAS - over-raced middle stages. Held up final bend and trotted roughly over the concluding stages.
Race 3   WALLACE GROUP FILLIES & MARES MOBILE PACE
KRYSTAL DELIGHT - lay outwards in the home straight.
ESTELLA REIGN - hampered passing the 250 metres after ROCKNROLL MAMA hung inwards. Driver K Butt defended a breach of Rule 869(3)(b) which alleged she drove carelessly near the 900 metres by shifting inwards when insufficiently clear of SHADOW AVEROSS (J Young-Grant) which was checked and broke. After viewing the films and hearing evidence from Stewards and both drivers, the JCA found the charge proved and Miss Butt's licence was suspended from the conclusion of racing today up to and including 28 February 2020 (2 days).
A ROCKNROLL MAID - lay inwards rounding the final bend. Held up early stages of the run home.
DUASTAR - driver R Close reported he was unable to activate the removable deafeners due to the clip breaking. This gear was inspected and found to be in previously good condition.
ROCKNROLL MAMA - hung inwards passing the 250 metres hampering ESTELLA REIGN.
SHADOW AVEROSS - checked and broke near the 900 metres losing all chance.
K MACH - broke shortly after the start and continued in a break for a considerable period before being restrained losing all chance. A warning was placed on the mare's barrier record and a final warning was placed on the racing record of the mare. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a slow recovery and the mare may have flipped her palate. Stood down pending a veterinary clearance.
LIVING FANTASY - held up middle stages of the run home.
LATERINTHEDAY - raced wide around the first bend. Cleared from the unruly for future mobile starts.
Race 4   EQUINE VETERINARY SERVICES/SOUTHFUELS MOBILE PACE
JETENARA - held up early and middle stages of the run home.
GROOMSMAN - when spoken to regarding the performance, driver M Williamson reported he was disappointed with the effort and could offer no explanation.
VON RICHTHOFEN - raced wide early stages.
SHOT IN THE DARK - paced roughly near the 1600 metres and had to be steadied. Had difficulty obtaining clear racing room in the home straight.
LUCYS DELIGHT - raced wide early stages. Hung inwards in the home straight having to be corrected by driver S Ottley.
HES FAST AND FURIOUS - held up early stages of the run home.
SPICY GIRL BECQUI - raced wide early stages.
TERRIER - crowded near the 950 metres.
DARRYL KERRIGAN - broke near the 300 metres.
Race 5   GLAMOUR HOOVES RACING STABLES/GRAEME PURVIS FEEDS MOB PACE
TACTICAL CHANGE - broke in the score up hampering SILENT SHADOW with a false start being declared. Driver M Hurrell elected to remain in his barrier position for the re-start. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
MACH O'MELLEY - held up leaving the final bend.
OLIVER NORTH - raced wide early stages.
ATTACHE - broke shortly after the start hampering YANKEE SHARD and severely checking TICKING OVER losing its chance. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
BUDVAR EYRE - raced wide early stages. Weakened final bend. When questioned regarding the performance, driver B Butt could offer no explanation. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a prolonged recovery with the Veterinarian recommending further tests be carried out. Trainer M Brown reported that the gelding would be sent for a spell.
REATTORE - held up final bend.
SILENT SHADOW - hampered in the score up with a false start being declared.
HUCKABEE - held up final bend.
TICKING OVER - severely checked by ATTACHE shortly after the start.
YANKEE SHARD - hampered by ATTACHE shortly after the start and broke briefly.

STAR RULER - over-raced early stages.

OMAR SHARIF - when spoken to regarding the improved performance, the connections advised they had increased the workload of the gelding since its last start when racing parked and added the horse had received a favourable run in the trail throughout.
DIXIE JAZZ - broke in the score up and was slightly out of position at the start. Broke again in the early stages. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare.
Race 7   WOODLANDS STUD TROT
SUNNY VALLEY - broke at the start. Broke again racing into the first bend.
SUNNIVUE PHILEAH - had difficulty obtaining clear racing room in the early stages of the home straight.
MATAI JETSTAR - crowded late in the run home.
MIDNIGHT ASSASSIN - broke near the 300 metres.
LOOK BOTH WAYS - broke at the start. Raced wide early stages. Broke again on several other occasions during the running. A final warning was placed on the racing record of the mare.
MONIBURNS - hung inwards late in the run home crowding MATAI JETSTAR.
ONE OVER DOVER - broke at the start losing ground. Held up middle stages of the run home and trotted roughly over the concluding stages.
DA MOONS MISSION - hampered by a breaking runner in the early stages. Trotted roughly and hung inwards in the home straight.
RUSTY I AM - locked wheels briefly with ROGIE FALLS racing into the first bend.

JACCKA JOSH - broke at the start losing considerable ground. A final warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
Race 8   LLENNOCO LTD/MARSHALL TRANSPORT JUNIOR DRIVERS MOBILE PACE
HANDS UP JACK - over-raced and hung outwards near the 1300 metres contacting the sulky wheel of MISS PADDY WAGON and puncturing its tyre with subsequent checks to trailing runners. Stood down pending one satisfactory trial. Driver S Payne reported he was unable to activate the removable deafeners due to the cord breaking. This gear was inspected and found to be in previously good condition.
MAGICOL IDEAL - raced wide early stages. Hung outwards in the home straight with driver S Thornley unable to drive the horse out over the concluding stages.
MOTORING MAJOR - hung inwards in the early stages and raced wide around the first bend. Lay outwards in the home straight. Driver M Hurrell reported he had difficulty steering the gelding due to the bit slipping.
ULTIMATE ROCKER - hampered near the 1300 metres. Hung inwards on the home turn and locked wheels with VINNIE RULZ after that runner had been shifted wider.
VINNIE RULZ - hampered near the 1300 metres. Locked wheels with ULTIMATE ROCKER on the home turn after being shifted wider by an improving MAGICOL IDEAL. After viewing the videos of this incident, Stewards could apportion no blame to any one horse or driver and accordingly took the matter no further.
STANDOUT - raced wide with cover in the early stages.
MARKHAM EYRE - broke passing the 1700 metres losing ground. Held up early stages of the run home. Driver S Diamant reported she was unable to activate the sliding blinds. Trainer M Brown was issued a warning for failing to correctly affix the gear so as not to malfunction.
MISS PADDY WAGON - sustained a punctured sulky tyre passing the 1300 metres as a result of HANDS UP JACK hanging outwards and making contact with the mare being retired from the race.
JACKS N JAZZ - broke briefly in the score up however was in position at the start. Hampered near the 1300 metres.
VIGOROSO - over-raced passing the 1200 metres.
Race 9   MCLELLAN FREIGHT LTD WAIKOUAITI CUP (HANDICAP PACE)
DOCTOR TIM - broke briefly at the start.
GABBY'S STAR - over-raced middle stages. Held up early stages of the run home.
ROCKNROLL MAX - held up on the final bend.
IDEAL DRAW - paced roughly when being restrained racing into the first bend. Paced roughly on the home turn. Driver B Orange reported he had difficulty steering the gelding throughout.
AVEROSS RUSTLER - shifted inwards at the start and began awkwardly before breaking. Raced wide early stages. Weakened final bend.
THE MAROON MARAUDER - broke at the start. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Over-raced in the early stages.
SMARTER VC - weakened in the home straight. When spoken to regarding the performance, driver S Ottley advised she was disappointed and could offer no explanation. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Trainer M Purvis reported the gelding may not have handled the dead track conditions.
QUEEN BEE BARDON - a false start was declared when QUEEN BEE BARDON reared and turned sideways prior to the start. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare. Weakened final bend. When spoken to regarding the performance, driver T Williams advised he was disappointed with the effort and could offer no explanation. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a slow recovery and lameness to the left hind leg. Stood down pending a veterinary clearance.
Race 10   CUSTOM FENCING/BIDFOOD HANDICAP TROT
SUN SWINGER - trotted roughly throughout the run home.
GIL FAVOR - trainer P Nairn was issued a warning for presenting GIL FAVOR and LOTAMUSCLE with the incorrect numbers. Held up final bend. When questioned in regards to the performance, Mr Nairn felt that despite being held up on the final bend he failed to run on as expected when in the clear and was slightly disappointed in the performance. Mr Nairn added that as it was the gelding's first race in 9 months he would expect the horse to derive benefit from the run.
ALI LINDENNY - broke at the start. Broke again racing into the first bend losing all chance.
CLYDE - broke briefly at the start. Raced wide early stages. Broke again racing around the first bend.
KIWI CRUSHER - broke at the start.
NEVER MIND - raced wide early stages.
RITEUR - held up final bend.
IMRAN KHAN - trotted roughly in the home straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed signs of muscle tie up. Stewards will follow up the recovery of the gelding with trainer A Hoffman in the coming days.
LOTAMUSCLE - when spoken to regarding the performance, driver B Butt reported the gelding had peaked on its run over the concluding stages and would derive benefit from the race.
MAJESTIC CONNIES - was facing sideways and reared as the barrier was released losing ground. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Broke passing the 800 metres. Following the race Stewards viewed a replay of the start and were satisfied the gelding had been denied a fair start with the horse declared a non runner under Rule 213(1)(j).
HUMBLE LADD - raced wide early stages.
Trainer A Hoffman advised Stewards on 1 March that IMRAN KHAN is being treated for a stifle injury.
Race 11   G K FYFE LTD: WE MAKE IT HAPPEN MOBILE PACE
HOKURI PLATTER - hung outwards in the score up. Broke passing the 1400 metres losing ground. Driver J Morrison reported the gelding had hung outwards throughout causing him difficulty.
FLETCH - over-raced when racing wide and being restrained in the early stages.
ISLA'S JOY - held up early and middle stages of the run home.
BOBBY'S MY GIRL - weakened final bend.
ESSENCE OF EASTON - held up on the home turn.
