Race 1   LAMB & CATTLE GRAZIERS TROT
BRANDY AND DRY - held up in the early stages of the home straight. Briefly hampered by a breaking runner before obtaining clear racing room near the 100 metres.
ANDOVER THE KEYS - broke shortly after the start losing considerable ground.
SLAINTE - broke passing the 150 metres.
WILLANGUS LAD - broke passing the 800 metres losing its chance. Stood down to trial to the Stewards satisfaction on one occasion prior to racing next.
T BONE RAWHIDE - trotted roughly over the concluding stages with driver N Williamson advising that due to this he was unable to drive the gelding fully out to the line.
KIWI HEIR - weakened from the 400 metres. Driver R McIlwrick was issued a warning for the manner he addressed the barrier when drawn Unruly.
Race 2   AB LIME MOBILE PACE
CROESUS - lay outwards on various occasions during the running. Locked sulky stays with MACH QUILLAN leaving the final bend then when the sulky pressure released near the 150 metres the gelding lay outwards hampering MACH QUILLAN.
RACING MINISTER - broke briefly in the score-up after contacting the mobile barrier arm.
THE BIG YIN - raced wide in the early stages.
RAKSJAMESON - raced wide in the early stages. Over-raced passing the 1300 metres when being restrained to the rear. Held up rounding the final bend.
IN CHEVRON WE TRUST - broke briefly in the score-up however recovered to take up its allotted barrier position at the dispatch. Over-raced in the early stages. Forced to race wider on the final bend when attempting to improve. When questioned regarding the performance driver B Orange could offer no explanation. A post-race Veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormalities.
MACH QUILLAN - locked sulky stays with CROESUS leaving the final bend and was then shifted wider on the track when the sulky pressure released near the 150 metres.
Race 3   REGENT CAR COURT PACE
NIGHTMARCH - junior horseman K McNaught, who declined the assistance of a senior horseman admitted a breach of Rule 869(2) in that he used his whip on more occasions than is permitted by Clause (b) of the Use of Whip Regulations. After viewing replays and hearing penalty submissions the JCA imposed a fine of $200.
RONNIE PICKERING - over-raced in the middle stages. Held up rounding the final bend and in the early stages of the home straight, having to be shifted outwards near the 100 metres to obtain clear running.
TRIPLE VC - broke at the start.
TACT EZE - broke at the start. Raced wide in the early stages.
INDULGENCE - held up in the early stages of the home straight having to shift ground outwards near the 100 metres to obtain clear racing room.
Race 4   WINTON'S TOP PUB MOBILE PACE
CALL ME KEITH - paced roughly in the score-up and was out of position at the start.
MAXIMILIAN - paced roughly rounding the final bend before breaking near the 250 metres. Stood down to trial to the Stewards satisfaction on one occasion prior to racing next.
THE MIGHTY CULLEN - briefly hampered by a breaking runner leaving the final bend.
Race 5   'VINCENT' STANDING AT ALABAR MOBILE PACE
ARIZONA DOLL - placed in tight quarters late in the home straight.
OMAGGIO - broke in the score-up losing its chance. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the filly.
HANS IDEAL - weakened from the 500 metres. A post-race Veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormalities.
SHERWOOD MAGGIE - broke in the score-up and was some distance out of position at the start. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare. Over-raced in the middle stages.
CROSSO'S CULLECT - lay inwards late in the home straight tightening inside runners.
BROADBEACH - out of position at the start.
A SMIDGEN MORE - out of position at the start.
MY TERN - paced roughly in the score-up and was out of position at the start. Again paced roughly leaving the final bend.
Race 6   ROBIN DUNDEE CLUB MOBILE PACE
BETTER GALLEON - lay in striking track markers on the final bend.
YANKEE PARTY - lay inwards passing the 100 metres striking a track marker.
CHEEZEL - raced wide into the first bend.
Race 7   SINCLAIR TRANSPORT HANDICAP TROT
KIWITRIX - paced away then broke, losing all chance.
MAKE MY DAY - broke at the start losing all chance.
MISS BAMBOOCHA - broke at the start losing all chance.
CHLOE ROSE - shifted down the track when under pressure over the concluding stages.
FULL NOISE - lay inwards at the top of the straight before being corrected by driver B Barclay, sustaining a punctured sulky tyre as a result of making brief contact with MISS JESSICA.
NOTTINGHAM K TWO - weakened rounding the final bend.
WHATWILLBEEWILLBEE - briefly hampered by a breaking runner shortly after the start. Broke when leading near the 800 metres losing its chance.
Race 8   THANK YOU GERALD CAYFORD FOR YOUR SUPPORT OF KIDZ KARTZ PACE
DANGEROUS - broke at the start. Sulky contacted near the 350 metres when JACCKA TED lay inwards.
BUNDORAN - over-raced in the early to middle stages.
REVITALISE - broke at the start.
JACCKA TED - hampered by breaking runners shortly after the start. Lay inwards passing the 350 metres when driver J Morrison was in the process of activating the removable deafeners and struck the sulky wheel of DANGEROUS which was shifting ground outwards, resulting in JACCKA TED falling to the track. Stewards spoke with drivers J Morrison and B Orange (DANGEROUS) and after viewing the relevant footage of the incident could apportion no blame to either driver and deemed the incident to be as a result of the racing manners of JACCKA TED. Junior Driver J Morrison was unharmed in the incident. A post-race Veterinary examination revealed the gelding to have suffered superficial abrasions to the knee and shoulder. JACCKA TED is stood down to trial to the Stewards satisfaction on one occasion prior to racing next.
Race 9   UPPER CUTS BUTCHERY MOBILE PACE
DALLAS GRIMES - weakened rounding the final bend. A post-race Veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormalities.
AIRWAVES - paced roughly shortly after the start. Again paced roughly near the 700 metres before breaking after being shifted wider on the track.
RAH DE RAH - held up rounding the final bend.
DEUS EX - lay inwards when improving forward in the middle stages.
Race 10   PGG WRIGHTSON MOBILE PACE
DISMARA - paced roughly racing into the first bend.
LOCK IT IN EDDIE - raced wide in the early stages.
LOVE THE BLUES - raced wide in the early stages. Lay inwards in the early stages of the home straight.
BETTORS ATOM - raced wide in the early stages. Over-raced passing the 1000 metres when being restrained to take cover.
FRANCO JUNE - paced roughly rounding the final bend.
FRANCO RIOT - lay outwards rounding the final bend. Lay inwards passing the 250 metres locking wheels with ANNIE FITZ.
GROOMSMAN - held up near the 400 metres.
ANNIE FITZ - locked wheels with FRANCO RIOT passing the 250 metres.
