Race 1   KAPITI COAST HARNESS MEMBERS & SUPPORTERS MOBILE PACE
MOTORING MARK - slow to move away with the field early in the score up and raced greenly missing the start by five lengths.
NICKY JAY - broke early in the score up and was out of position at the start. Became unbalanced travelling over the crossing and broke losing its chance. A warning was placed on the mare's mobile barrier manners.
RAZCAL ALLEY - Driver B Orange reported that the offside sliding blind failed to activate.
Race 2   THE ANCHORAGE @ WAITARERE BEACH NZ MOBILE PACE
EMMI ROSE - paced roughly late in the score-up and over the early stages.
BANKERS GOLD - raced three wide from inside the 1000 metres. Paced roughly passing the 400 metres inconveniencing PETER FORSBERG for several strides.
ONEDIN PUNTER - Driver S Dickson admitted a charge under Rule 869(2) on the grounds that he used his whip on more occasions than permitted by Clause (b) of the 'Use of the Whip' Regulation and was fined $200.00 by the JCA.
HILARIOUS PRINCE - raced three wide early before being improved to race outside the leader passing the 1000 metres.
PETER FORSBERG - raced three wide with cover from inside the 1000 metres. Inconvenienced briefly passing the 500 metres.
MAC'S TOMADO - Driver N Chilcott admitted a charge under Rule 869(2) on the grounds that she used her whip on more occasions than permitted by Clause (b) the 'Use of the Whip' Regulation and was fined $200 by the JCA.
Race 3   WELLINGTON REGION HARNESS SUPPORTERS MOBILE PACE
DRUM BEAT - inconvenienced by the weakening GLEN ELGIN STARA passing the 500 metres with these two runners locking wheels shortly after. Driver B Towers was shown the replay and spoken to advisedly regarding the manner in which he drove in this incident.
SPORTNGOODTIME - raced three wide early and was then left without cover three wide from the 1200 metres.
HEY GOOD LOOKIN - raced three wide early before improving to the lead at the 1400 metres.
IDEAL LINCOLN - over-raced near the 1400 metres when being restrained to take a trail. Commenced to give ground approaching the 600 metres inconveniencing trailing runners. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormality.
GLEN ELGIN STARA - raced three wide before improving to race outside the leader at the 1200 metres. Weakened passing the 500 metres inconveniencing DRUM BEAT with these two runners then locking wheel shortly after. Stewards noted that Driver S Phelan had been required to fend DRUM BEAT off his sulky on several occasions in this incident in the interests of safety. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormality.
VIVA LAS VEGAS - raced greenly in the score up and was a length and a half out of position at the start. Raced three wide with cover throughout.
JIVE - had some difficulty obtaining clear running rounding the final turn and early stages of the run home.
Race 4   GRANT PLUMBING WELLINGTON TROTTING CUP HANDICAP TROT
BULLER WHITEBAIT - trotted unevenly in the lead and broke between the 300 and 250 metre marks losing ground before settling. Broke again just short of the winning post but was well clear of the fifth place runner.
NOBLE MISTRESS - Trainer M House (P Boyle as agent) was issued a $100.00 Minor Infringement Notice for presenting the mare without the notified blinds.
BOYZ INVASION - shifted out marginally approaching the 50 metres.
MACKALI - broke at the start and then again over the early stages losing considerable ground before catching the field near the 600 metres. A final warning was placed on the mare's standing start barrier manners record.
LITTLEBITOFLOVE - inconvenienced for a stride approaching the 50 metres when BOYZ INVASION shifted out marginally. Stewards were satisfied that the outcome of the race had not been affected and no action was deemed necessary.
LAURA BUSH - broke approaching the 400 metres losing its chance.
THE REV - broke shortly after the start losing its chance.
LUKYANOVA - broke under pressure passing the 100 metres.
Race 5   TEN PIN BOWLING/OTAKI TRAVEL/MYTRAVEL GROUP MOBILE PACE
ARTFILLY CRAFTED - over-raced early and middle stages. Driver P Ferguson reported that the sliding blinds failed to activate over the final stages despite his efforts.
SONNY REACTOR - inconvenienced by a galloping runner inside the 1100 metres.
MILNER - became unbalanced and broke travelling over the crossing settling in midfield. Broke passing the 1100 metres losing its chance.
IDEAL TIGER - over-raced briefly middle stages.
Race 6   WALLACE CONSTRUCTION @ PP20 MOBILE PACE
SUPERSTAR LEGEND - raced three wide early before improving to lead near the 1500 metres. Driver B Orange advised that he did not activate the deafeners due to having the field covered.
ITSTHEFINALCOUNTDOWN - paced roughly and broke prior to the crossing losing considerable ground. Weakened final stages.
EL CAPITAN - broke late in the score up and was back from position at dispatch. Weakened final stages.
Race 7   BOUNDARY, DEANS & ASSOCIATES OTAKI CUP HANDICAP PACE
PEMBROOK CHARLIE - reared and shifted sideways just prior to the start but then began safely. Weakened out from inside the 400 metres.
FERRITTS SISTER - Driver N Chilcott advised that she did not activate the deafeners due to having the field covered.
THE LONE RANGER - slow to begin and then broke shortly after losing considerable ground. Broke passing the 700 metres losing its chance.
APOCALYPSE - weakened final stages.
MUCHO MACHO MAN - weakened final stages.
Race 8   PERSONNEL TOUCH/PATRONS OF THE BOUNDARY MOBILE PACE
HIDDEN DELIGHT - broke shortly after the start checking several second line runners and lost considerable ground.
FINAL DELIGHT - raced three wide early.
MOLLY DOOKER - checked by a breaking runner shortly after the start and galloped losing considerable ground.
UNCLE DREW - checked by a breaking runner shortly after the start and had to take evasive action.
Race 9   REMEDY COFFEE @ RAUMATI & PARAPARAUMU/WINGS MOBILE PACE
DEN'S LEGACY - weakened final turn.
THUNDERFROMTHETHRONE - lost contact with the body of the field rounding the first turn.
WAINGARO IDEAL - back a length at dispatch despite the efforts of Driver N Chilcott. Lost contact with the body of the field rounding the first turn. Paced roughly near the 800 metres when appearing to knuckle over and dislodged a marker peg.
ROCKAHULA JOE - taken forward rounding the first turn and briefly contested for the lead. Improved forward again passing the 1200 metres and crossed to the lead near the 1000 metres.
