Race 1   CENTRAL ENERGY TRUST HANDICAP TROT
BULLER WHITEBAIT - broke passing the 300 metres but soon settled. Broke inside the 100 metres in excess of 50 metres before settling just prior to the winning post. A Protest against this runner's third placing was not contested by connections and the mare was disqualified by the JCA.
LEESA CASTLETON - stood on the mark and was slow to begin. Broke passing the 400 metres losing its chance. Authorisation of this runner's promoted fifth placing was withheld until it was confirmed that the mare had complied with the Breaking Horses Regulation.
LITTLEBITOFLOVE - locked wheels with OUR GRACIE shortly after the start losing all chance.
NOBLE MISTRESS - swung sideways at the start inconveniencing another runner. Broke near the 2100 metres and again passing the 1700 metres losing its chance and was retired from the event.
CAITLIN'S SURPRISE - inconvenienced at the start and was slow to begin.
OUR GRACIE - locked wheels with LITTLEBITOFLOVE shortly after the start losing all chance.
LAURA BUSH - tired from inside the 1000 metres. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormality.
Race 2   PAUL CLARIDGE ELECTRICAL MOBILE PACE
SUNHI MAGIC - Trainer A Stuart was issued a $50.00 Minor Infringement Notice for the late notification of the addition of blinds. Tired passing the 400 metres. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a slow recovery.
JIVE - lay in approaching the first turn and locked wheels with RAZCAL ALLEY losing all chance. A warning was placed on the mare's racing manners.
HE'S GRATIS - checked and had to take evasive action entering the first turn.
CARSE O FERN CULLY - checked and had to take evasive action entering the first turn. Tended to lay out racing through the straights when trailing on the outer.
RAZCAL ALLEY - locked wheels with JIVE approaching the first turn losing all chance and was retired from the event.
TROOPER COOPER - checked and had to take evasive action entering the first turn. Lay out at various stages.
Race 3   CAFE JACKO MOBILE PACE
OLDE OAK EMMA - Trainer M House was issued a $100 Minor Infringement Notice for presenting the mare with removeable deafeners that were not notified.
MOLLY DOOKER - sulky wheel contacted by BENJAMIN BUTTON near the 300 metres.
ITSTHEFINALCOUNTDOWN - over-raced middle stages when outside the leader.
EL CAPITAN - Trainer C Wigg was charged a $25.00 colour fee. Commenced to improve three wide from the 1600 metres but was then obliged to remain in that position for the remainder before weakening passing the 400 metres. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormality.
BENJAMIN BUTTON - held up briefly rounding the final turn. Raced roughly after contacting the sulky wheel of MOLLY DOOKER passing the 300 metres. Junior Driver J Cowden, assisted by J Abernethy, admitted an associated charge under Rule 869(3)(b) in that he drove carelessly in this incident. The JCA imposed a fine of $200.00.
Race 4   ITM PALMERSTON NORTH MOBILE PACE
JETSON HUNTER - held up early final turn.
MOTORING MARK - over-raced middle stages when towards the rear before being taken forward three wide passing the 1150 metres and raced three wide for the remainder. Weakened from the 400 metres.
HERESLOOKINGATYOU - paced roughly entering the first turn after having improved to the lead.
GLEN ELGIN STARA - held up early final turn.
VIVA LAS VEGAS - held up final turn and throughout the run home and as a result Driver P Ferguson did not activate the removeable deafeners.
OHOKA BANDIT - raced three wide with cover from the 1100 metres.
Race 5   MATT & MARION HICKEY MOBILE PACE
THE BANDIT QUEEN - commenced to improve three wide with cover before being shifted four wide near the 950 metres. The mare was then restrained to the rear.
APOCALYPSE - paced roughly at various stages.
MUCHO MACHO MAN - paced roughly when three wide over the early and middle stages. Commenced to weaken near the 400 metres.
MOGUL - raced three wide early. Held up early rounding the final turn.
THE LONE RANGER - raced three wide without cover from the 1200 metres.
OUR WICKLOW - underwent a veterinary examination after throwing itself in the birdcage and was cleared to start. This gelding was removed from the unruly for mobiles and also placed on the unruly for future stands at the request of the Trainer.
Race 6   MANELINE FARRIER SUPPLIES MOBILE PACE
SHE'S A REBEL - Co-Trainers C Dalgety and N Purdon (J Simpson as agent) were issued a $100.00 Minor Infringement Notice for presenting the filly without the notified blinds.
CLASSEY ROBIN - held up rounding the final turn by a weakening runner. Had difficulty obtaining clear running throughout the home straight with Driver N Chilcott not activating the removeable deafeners as a result.
EMMI ROSE - paced roughly early in the run home.
DEN'S LEGACY - raced three wide early before improving to lead near the 1600 metres. Commenced to weaken from the 500 metres. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormality.
RAKE - raced three wide early before being restrained to the rear.
FRANKIE JONES - over-raced at the rear over the early stage. Held up briefly rounding the final turn.
CHANGEAROUND - over-raced middle stages.
Race 7   FREEDOM PLUS MOBILE PACE
HILARIOUS PRINCE - over-raced score-up.
WAINGARO MARA - over-raced score-up. Weakened final stages.
Race 8   FOCUS PLANNING MOBILE PACE
ARTFILLY CRAFTED - broke entering the first turn losing its chance. A warning was placed on the filly's racing manners.
MATAI MINKY - inconvenienced briefly by a breaking runner on the first turn.
RIPSNORTER - checked briefly by a breaking runner entering the first turn.
MILNER - lay out in the latter stages of the score-up and was back a length at dispatch.
Race 9   OTAKI TROTS SUNDAY 2ND FEBRUARY MOBILE PACE
MAC'S TOMADO - held up early final turn.
SONNY REACTOR - raced three wide early. Commenced to over-race approaching the 1000 metres when TORO DELAGO improved to its outer.
TORO DELAGO - raced three wide without cover from the 1250 metres.
SARANDON - held up early final turn.
Top
