MAJESTIC STRIDE - broke at the start but soon settled. Pulled a flat tyre from near the 1700m when contacted by LITTLEBITOFLOVE after there was an easing of the pace in the one out running line. The tyre and tube came away from the rim near the 1600m placing the mare at a disadvantage. | |
GRENADO - reluctant to come forward and was back several lengths at dispatch. Weakened from inside the 500m. A post race veterinary examination revealed no significant abnormality. | |

Stewards were also of the opinion that there was not sufficient grounds for a Protest in relation to any interference received by the 4th placed MACKERELLI given the margin between these two runners at the finish. | |
