Race 1   MLT THREE RIVERS HOTEL SPECIAL HANDICAP TROT
RYDGEMONT MILLY - late scratching on Veterinary advice at 6.57 pm (15/01/2020)
LADY ZARA - raced wide in the early stages. Weakened from the 500 metres.
HELLUVA WAY - broke shortly after the start losing considerable ground.
JACCKA JEORGE - broke shortly after the start losing considerable ground.
CRUSHER COLLINS - broke shortly after the start losing considerable ground.
DIPENDRA - lay inwards rounding the first bend striking a track marker.
MAJESTIC CONNIES - slow to begin. When questioned regarding the performance junior driver K Tomlinson advised that after being slow to begin the gelding had felt flat throughout the race and was disappointing. A post-race Veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormalities. Stewards will follow up with trainer P Williamson in the coming days.
KING CASSIDY - slow to begin. Trotted roughly on various occasions during the running.
Race 2   LES FRISBY FENCING MOBILE PACE
WITH THE STARS - paced roughly passing the 200 metres when checked by DELIGHT N GOLD which shifted inwards.
DELIGHT N GOLD - hung in the score-up and was out of position at the start. Held up rounding the final bend and through the early and middle stages of the home straight. Shifted inwards passing the 200 metres checking WITH THE STARS. Driver E Swain was issued with a warning for the manner he shifted ground.
Race 3   LEE'S DAIRY & CAFE SPECIAL HANDICAP TROT
SUNNY VALLEY - began awkwardly.
BIRCH - Stewards granted permission for the mare to start from the Unruly position for the restart where it will now be drawn for upcoming standing start engagements. Broke at the start.
LUCK O' THE IRISH - broke at the start.
SLAINTE - broke at the start. Trotted roughly rounding the final bend.
BONNIES DELIGHT - broke shortly after the start. Stood down to trial to the Stewards satisfaction on one occasion prior to racing next.
CUDDLY TROUBLE - driver N Williamson reported the mare had pulled hard during the running.
THE NIGHT SWEATS - driver J Cox reported that the mare had hung throughout the running.
DREAM OF PAT - unable to take up its allotted position at the start necessitating a false start be declared. Broke shortly after the start. Weakened rounding the final bend.
MATAI JETSTAR - over-raced in the early stages. Trotted roughly when weakening in the final straight.
Race 4   MLT PIONEER TAVERN MOBILE PACE
TARGARYEN - paced roughly and broke late in the score-up losing considerable ground. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Trainer/driver K Larsen advised he would be making gear changes prior to TARGARYEN racing next.
LA ROCCA - raced wide in the early stages. Over-raced when held up rounding the final bend.
JUST CHEDDAR - paced roughly rounding the final bend.
I'M WATCHING YOU - when questioned regarding the performance driver M Williamson expressed disappointment with the effort however advised the gelding had paced roughly during the running and had been unsuited by the fast tempo of the race.
RACING MINISTER - ran inwards near the 200 metres contacting a track marker before being straightened.
Race 5   SOUTHLAND HARNESS AWARDS LADYSHIP FINAL (MOBILE PACE)
DELIGHTFUL GNP - broke in the score-up and was slightly out of position at the dispatch. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the filly. Broke passing the 500 metres losing its chance.
SHERWOOD MAGGIE - broke in the score-up however recovered to take up its allotted barrier position at the dispatch. Paced roughly passing the 400 metres.
DELIGHT - over-raced in the early stages. Raced wide without cover throughout.
Race 6   KINDERGARTEN STAKES SATURDAY 14TH MARCH MOBILE PACE
MAJOR MEISTER - hampered and held up by a weakening runner passing the 300 metres.
LOVE ON THE ROCKS - broke briefly in the score-up and was slightly out of position at the dispatch as a result.
LONGUEVAL - raced wide in the early stages.
YANKEE SHARD - raced wide in the early stages. Paced roughly passing the 1900 metres.
ROCK TO THE BOSS - raced wide from the 1000 metres.
NEW YORK MAN - raced wide from the 1000 metres. When questioned regarding the performance junior driver S Tomlinson advised the gelding had felt lethargic throughout. Trainer C Ferguson advised in hindsight he had over worked the gelding leading up today and it was his intention to lighten the workload prior to racing next. A post-race Veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormalities.
Race 7   WYNDHAM WORKOUTS COMMITTEE PACE
BOTTLE ROCK - broke at the start. When questioned regarding the performance driver C Ferguson advised he raced wide rounding the final bend as the gelding is at its best when saved for one run and overall he was not disappointed with the effort.
MELTON MAFIA - broke briefly at the start. Held up rounding the final bend.
GROOMSMAN - over-raced in the middle stages. Again over-raced when held up rounding the final bend.
MISS WAIKIWI - broke at the start.
ROSINUPTHEBOW - broke briefly at the start.
ALLANDALE - returned to the stabling area with a laceration to the left front pastern however was too fractious to receive Veterinary treatment even with the assistance of sedation. Connections were advised a Veterinary clearance would be required prior to the gelding racing next.
ROCKIN ROD - raced wide and paced roughly shortly after the start.
MAN I'M GOOD - broke briefly at the start. Briefly held up rounding the final bend.
LOCK IT IN EDDIE - broke at the start and shifted outwards off the track, losing its chance.
Race 8   RD PETROLEUM / MCLARENS RANFURLY TRANSPORT FFA (MOB PACE)
SWAMP MAJOR - over-raced when being restrained to take the trail in the early stages then continued to over-race for some distance thereafter. Weakened rounding the final bend. Trainer R Todd advised on return to his stable he will have the gelding examined by his own Veterinarian which Stewards will follow up.
Race 9   CLASSIC CARS AT WYNDHAM 2ND FEBRUARY MOBILE PACE
VIGOROSO - broke in the score-up losing all chance. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
PICK SIX TELF - paced roughly into the first bend. Again paced roughly passing the 1100 metres when the pace of the race eased.
SWEET MARY - raced wide into the first bend.
AMORE LANCOME - held up rounding the final bend.
PADUKA - held up in the home straight with junior driver E Barron reporting that due to this she did not activate the removable deafeners applied to the gelding.
Race 10   NIGEL MARSHALL EXCAVATING HANDICAP PACE
JACCKA TED - the Boring Pole was removed prior to the start due to the gelding warming up unfavorably. When questioned regarding the performance driver N Williamson advised the gelding had traveled well until the 500 metres however failed to let down over the concluding stages and was somewhat disappointing despite a step up in grade today.
IVANA LEGACY - held up rounding the final bend.
FRANCO HUNTINGTON - broke at the start losing all chance.
MAURICE - held up rounding the final bend and through the early stages of the home straight.
MISTACULLECT - broke briefly at the start.
FOUR STARZZZ SHIRAZ - broke at the start losing considerable ground.
PARAMA - lay inwards rounding the bends.
Race 11   MATAI FARMS / P & B DUFFY MOBILE PACE
KAGEE VC - held up over the final stages of the home straight.
STAR RULER - held up throughout the home straight.
VON RICHTHOFEN - raced wide into the first bend. Lay inwards through the early stages of the home straight.
MYRCELLA - raced wide throughout.
IWANADANCEWITSUMBODY - raced wide into the first bend. When questioned regarding the performance driver M Williamson advised the mare had worked hard in the early stages and in his opinion may not have been suited by the shorter distance of today's race.
KRAMER - raced wide throughout. Lay inwards over the concluding stages.
ALTIMETER - when questioned regarding the improved performance trainer T Stratford advised he was not surprised as the gelding had been unlucky in recent starts and today had benefited from a more suitable run.
