Race 1   MOVENPICK AT CAMBRIDGE RACEWAY SUMMER SERIES MOBILE PACE
MILITARY MAN - began badly losing considerable ground. A warning was placed on the colt's mobile barrier manners.
MOZZARELLA - paced roughly and then broke approaching the winning post the first time losing its chance. This mare was placed on the Unruly for future mobiles.
DRUM BEAT - weakened final stages.
BILLY IDOL - weakened final turn.
CARSE O FERN TOM - raced four wide from the 600m.
ROUGH AND READY - lay in under pressure early in the run home and had to be corrected by Driver S Phelan.
Race 2   NZB STANDARDBRED HANDICAP TROT
THE REV - broke passing the 100m and failed to settle. A Protest into this runner's fifth placing on the grounds of breaking in excess of 50m in the final 200m was not contested by connections and the JCA disqualified the gelding. An information was lodged alleging that Driver B Butcher drove carelessly near the 150m when he shifted ground outwards resulting in interference to DANKE (G Martin) which broke losing its chance. The charge was upheld and the JCA suspended Mr Butcher's Horseman's licence upto and including 18 January 2020 (2 days).
REIGN - broke approaching the first turn inconveniencing a trailing runner and settled at the rear. A warning was placed on the gelding's standing start barrier manners.
FLYING TAINE - raced three wide early.
MAJESTIC STRIDE - broke passing the 300m and settled at the rear.
DANKE - checked and broke passing the 150m losing its chance.
GREY STOKE - inconvenienced by a breaking runner entering the first turn. Broke near the 1950m and continued on in a strong gallop for a considerable distance. This gelding was subsequently stood down until it trials satisfactorily. A Protest into this runner's promoted 5th placing for breaking in excess of 150m was not contested by connections and the JCA disqualified the gelding.
Race 3   PATRONS MOBILE PACE
ITSTHEFINALCOUNTDOWN - broke at the start losing its chance. A warning was placed on the gelding's mobile barrier manners.
SABREUR - commenced to over-race near the 1300m after surrendering the lead. Junior Driver A Harrison advised that the gelding hung badly and raced on one rein giving her a difficult drive. Trainers Cooney & Hopkins were warned to improve the gelding's racing manners.
ARMED REACTOR - broke score up and was retired from the event. The gelding was placed on the Unruly for future mobiles.
VANHALEM - Junior Driver A Drake admitted a charge under Rule 869(2) in that he used the whip on more occasions than permitted under Clause (b) Use of the Whip Regulations and the JCA imposed a fine of $300.00.
OLIVIA RACHEL - over-raced middle stages. Junior Driver K Bublitz reported that the cord broke when he attempted to activate the deafeners.
FRANKIE JONES - raced four wide from the 600m and lay in rounding the final turn. Junior Driver Z Meredith was spoken to advisedly in regard to the manner he drove the gelding out over the latter stages of the race.
Race 4   NOTTINGHAM CASTLE MORRINSVILLE MOBILE PACE
SPORTNGOODTIME - held up rounding the final turn and early stages of the run home.
SUPER ACTOR - over-raced middle stages when trailing the leader. Held up rounding the final turn and early stages of the run home.
CULLEN'S DELI - over-raced in the score up.
SKY FULL OF STARS - paced roughly in the score up and was out of position at the start. A warning was placed on the filly's mobile barrier manners.
Race 5   THAMES HRC 100 YRS THAMES/COROMANDEL TROTTERS CUP (HCP)
OUR SPITFIRE - broke near the 2050m losing its chance.
AORAKI - weakened final turn.
DELSON - broke for a few strides at the start.
GERSHWIN - weakened final turn.
C K SPUR - Junior Driver A Harrison advised that the gelding was contacting the off side wheel disc rounding the bends which resulted in it trotting roughly and in particular on the first bend losing ground.
Race 6   ANDERSON STREET PANEL & PAINT MOBILE PACE
There was a brief delay to the start due to track machinery having to be moved further to the infield.
RUBY BABY - held up early final bend. Driver S Abernethy was cautioned and advised to leave no room for query in the future with regard to driving his runner out to the end of the race. After reviewing the replays with Mr Abernethy, Stewards accepted that he had fully tested the filly and that it was doing its best over the latter stages.
J BEE - held up final turn and early stages of the run home.
PETER FORSBERG - Driver S Phelan advised that the sliding blinds did not fully activate.
SWEET MAGGIE RYAN - held up final turn and early stages of the run home.
LINCOLN MOMENT - over-raced in the score up.
Race 7   BAYLEYS THAMES/COROMANDEL PACERS CUP (HANDICAP)
THE BANDIT QUEEN - the race was stopped by Stewards as the field rounded the final turn and subsequently abandoned under Rule 211(A)(3), as the runners had completed greater than 1000m, after THE BANDIT QUEEN choked down near the 1100m and fell to the track. Track staff were unable to get this runner to its feet from its position in the middle of the track. This mare underwent a veterinary examination which revealed no obvious abnormality. THE BANDIT QUEEN was subsequently stood down pending a satisfactory trial. Driver T Mitchell was uninjured in this incident and cleared by St John Ambulance staff to fulfill his remaining engagements.
THE KAPITI EXPRESS - the gelding was declared unruly from standing starts at the Trainer's request.
Race 8   RON JOHNSTON DRAIN LAYING & PIAKO BOBCATS MOBILE PACE
RAINBOW WIRI - caught three wide early before improving to sit parked near the 1600m. Impeded by a tiring runner inside the 400m.
RED RIVER DASH - raced three wide early.
WAINGARO MARA - commenced to over-race approaching the 1000m and was then taken forward 3 wide. Gave ground quickly inside the final 400m impeding trailing runners.
MAJOR BLINK - checked and paced roughly for a stride rounding the final turn when racing in restricted room to the inside of BETTER THAN MOST and QUICK AS FIRE which both lay inwards. Stewards were unable to attribute blame to any individual horse or driver and no further action was taken.
QUICK AS FIRE - raced five wide from inside the 700m.
BETTER THAN MOST - raced four wide from inside the 700m. Received a punctured sulky tyre on the final turn.
COOL AND CALCULATING - impeded by a tiring runner inside the 400m.
OUR WICKLOW - raced three wide early before improving to lead near the 1500m.
Race 9   ANDY SMITH LIVESTOCK MOBILE PACE
MARIA KIRILENKO - contacted track markers inside the 400m.
LYNTON CREEK - held up rounding the final turn and early stages of the run home.
BROOKE'S IMAGE - Trainer D Erickson was cautioned for presenting the mare with blinds that had not been notified. Paced roughly rounding the final turn losing ground.
MATAI MINKY - raced three and four wide from the 800m.
EAGLE WATCH - raced three wide early when being improved to lead at the 1700m.
SHEIKH YABOOTY - raced three wide early when being improved to the parked out position at the 1600m.
CAPTAIN MAX - held up final turn and throughout the run home and Driver B Butcher reported that he did not activate the deafeners as a result.
Race 10   JAN 26TH GRASS TRACK RACING AT ROTORUA MOBILE PACE
TOMMY TAHI - paced roughly over the early stages. Compounded approaching the 1000m and was retired from the event. A post race veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormality. Stewards will follow up with connections in the coming days.
CLASS REBEL - tired from the 700m. A post race veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormality. Stewards will follow up with connections in the coming days.
WITH REVENGE - checked for several strides approaching the 400m.
COMEDY ACT - over-raced when being restrained early. Had to be steadied to take a trail on CARSE O FERN CULLY near the 1200m after that runner improved away from the marker line.
CARSE O FERN CULLY - lay in and raced roughly approaching the 400m checking a trailing runner. A warning was placed on the gelding's racing manners record.
BROOKIES JAFFA - failed to maintain its position as one on the second line and was approximately 2 - 3 lengths out of position despite the efforts of Driver P Ferguson. A warning was placed on the gelding's mobile barrier manners record. Paced roughly early in the run home.
WAINGARO IDEAL - Driver N Chilcott advised that the gelding commenced to over-race after contacting both of its sulky wheels resulting in her improving forward to lead passing the 1000m. Weakened in the run home.
Race 11   FEB 21ST LADIES NIGHT AT CAMBRIDGE RACEWAY HCP TROT
MONSINEE - broke approaching the first turn and then again passing the 1800m. Broke on a further occasion passing the 1400m losing its chance and was retired. A warning was placed against the mare's racing manners record.
SKEE KING - broke shortly after the start. Broke near the 1700m losing its chance. A warning was placed on the gelding's standing start record.
HESTON HALL - broke shortly after the start and trailed the field.
PEGASUS SPEED - broke near the 1600m losing its chance.
EMPRESS OF THE SUN - broke shortly after the start losing ground. Broke again passing the 1800m and trailed the field. The mare was subsequently stood down to trial satisfactorily prior to resuming.
DUCHESS OF CAMBRIDGE - inconvenienced by a breaking runner shortly after the start and galloped losing ground before settling.
LOLLIEPROP - broke at the start losing considerable ground.
AIN'T NO PRINCESS - broke at the start but soon settled.
MACKALI - slow over the early stages adding to its 30m handicap.
