Junior Driver A Cameron (MISS MOPPET) was cautioned for the manner she drove rounding the first bend when allowing her runner to strike the sulky wheel of BRIGHT GLOW when attempting to shift ground inwards.

Race 1   REEFTON COFFIN CO. HANDICAP TROT
BE BEE LASS - broke at the start. Hampered by a breaking runner near the 1050 metres.
SEQUEL - broke shortly after the start after being crowded by a breaking runner. Broke again near the 1050 metres hampering trailing runners.
GOTTA TICKET - weakened final bend after racing parked throughout. When questioned regarding the performance Driver K Gill advised that in her opinion the gelding may be feeling the effects of recent racing.
PLAY DOUGH - broke rounding the first bend when racing over the crossing. Broke again near the 1000 metres. Authorisation of fifth placing being awarded was withheld until Stewards were satisfied the gelding had complied with the Breaking Horse Regulations.
GOOSE HEALY - broke near the 1400 metres when leading. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding. Trotted roughly in the run home.
LITTLE MISS - Trainer T Jellyman advised that the mare was showing signs of being in season. Trotted roughly in the run home before breaking over the concluding stages. Authorisation of fourth placing was withheld until Stewards were satisfied the mare had complied with the Breaking Horse Regulations.
BUILD A BRIDGE - Co-Trainer J Geddes advised the mare would race without front shoes. Broke rounding the first bend after racing over the crossing. Hampered by a breaking runner near the 1050 metres.
MAKE MY SUNDON - broke at the start.
EILISH HALL - broke shortly after the start. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Trainer J Curtin advised that the gelding would be sent for a spell and be returned to trials prior to resuming.
GIN RUMMY - over raced middle stages. Hung outwards in the run home and shifted up the track. Driver I Cameron was warned to make a greater effort to maintain a straight course in the run home.
SCARLETT LANE - held up early stages of the run home.
DD'S SUPER STUART - slow in the early stages.
Race 2   FLOORING SPECIALISTS OF CHRISTCHURCH PACE
FERNLEIGH COLLEEN - underwent a pre-race Veterinary examination and was cleared to start. Raced greenly near the 1100 metres and hung outwards.
BOBBY'S MY GIRL - Driver P Davis reported that he did not activate the removable deafeners on the mare. Mr Davis was spoken to and advised to make a greater effort to maintain a straight course in the run home.
ARCHAIC LUSTRE - broke at the start. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Hung inwards and struck pylons approaching the 1000 metres. Over raced middle stages. Had difficulty obtaining clear racing room in the run home.
ROYAL XCHANGE - Trainer C Chalmers was cautioned for failing to notify gear for this runner.
NADIRA FRANCO - Driver H Clarke admitted a breach of Rule 869(2) in that she used her whip on more occasions than permitted by Clause (b) of the Use of Whip Regulations and was fined $200.
ALL MONEY - broke at the start losing all chance.
HANDSOME HARRY - began awkwardly.
BUDVAR EYRE - over raced final bend. Held up early and middle stages of the run home.
Race 3   KOHATU FLAT ROCK CAFE/RON CROOK MEMORIAL PACE
WEBS REACTOR - paced roughly in the early stages. Over raced middle stages. Held up for clear racing room throughout the run home.
SHOTGUN WEDDING - broke briefly at the start. Hung outwards throughout the run home.
MICK BETH - Co-Trainers G & N Hope were cautioned for presenting the gelding to race with removable deafeners that had not been notified.
GENELIS - over raced final bend. Trainer/Driver R Cameron advised he would be making gear changes to the mare prior to racing next.
Race 4   PROPERTY BROKERS LINDA JONES MOBILE PACE
WILLACHY - paced roughly early stages. Had difficulty in obtaining clear racing room in the early stages of the run home. Junior Driver B Laughton (who declined the assistance of a Senior Driver) admitted a breach of Rule 869(3)(b) in that he drove carelessly racing into the first bend by shifting inwards when insufficiently clear, resulting in RAZORS EDGE being checked. After viewing the replays and hearing submissions on penalty the JCA suspended Mr Laughton's licence from the conclusion of racing on 6 January 2020 up to and including 10 January 2020 (3 days).
MOCHA - paced roughly near the 1100 metres when becoming awkwardly placed close to the sulky of MAGGIE. Junior Driver G Thornley was spoken to advisedly.
MR SIMPLY THE BEST - crowded shortly after the start and had to be steadied. Hung inwards and weakened final bend.
MAGGIE - raced wide early stages.
RAZORS EDGE - checked racing into the first bend and paced roughly. Hung inwards throughout the run home.
DIXIE REIGN - Caretaker Trainer M Pash was cautioned for presenting the mare to race with the incorrect number. Paced roughly near the 50 metres and had to be steadied. Driver K Cameron was cautioned for the manner he drove near the 1600 metres when forcing a runner wider on the track.

ADAM PATRON - broke late in the score up losing ground. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
SHEZSOMETHINSPECIAL - raced keenly early stages.
MARTIN JOHN - Trainer A Stuart reported the gelding had cast the off front shoe during the running.
SCELTA UNO - weakened final bend.
MACHS MARETA - held up final bend and in the early stages of the run home.
DONEGAL DAVY BOYD - weakened final bend.
BUSH MAN - raced wide early stages.
SILENT RAPTURE - over raced middle stages. Paced roughly final bend and in the run home.

DONEGAL CARNBOUY - held up early stages of the run home.
MARKHAM EYRE - held up final bend.
GIVEMEWHATINEED - held up final bend.
FUN IN THE DARK - broke late in the score up losing considerable ground. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare.
BOBBY T - out of position at the start. Driver R Cameron was issued a $100 Minor Infringement Notice.
DEN'S LEGACY - weakened final bend. When spoken to regarding the performance Driver B Orange advised he was disappointed with the effort and could offer no explanation. A post race Veterinary examination revealed a slow recovery. Stewards will follow up with Trainer M House in the coming days.
Race 7   LANTERN COURT MOTEL PACE
SWAP OVER - broke at the start. Held up final bend and in the early stages of the run home.
OMAR SHARIF - hung inwards on various occasions throughout the running.
PINE CONE - raced wide early stages. Weakened final bend. When spoken to regarding the performance Trainer/Driver K Cameron advised the gelding had worked hard in the early stages and had been unsuited to racing parked with the effort taking its toll.
TIN ROOF BLUES - tangled away.
BONNY'S GEM - hampered at the start. Junior Driver A Cameron reported she dropped her whip on the final bend.
FORTUNE TILLER - broke at the start losing all chance.
GARRY'S LEGACY - held up final bend.
Race 8   ROSCO CONTRACTORS REEFTON CUP (HANDICAP PACE)
LINTON SHARD - shied at the barrier and was slow to begin.
ANNA BARCLAY - weakened final bend.
JOHNNY EYRE - began awkwardly.
VINNIE RULZ - hampered at the start. Lay inwards over the concluding stages briefly crowding inside runner. Driver B Hope reported the mare had cast the off fore shoe during the running.
MISS DAYTONA - hampered at the start. Crowded late in the run home and had to be steadied.
JUST HOLLA - shied at the barrier and shifted inwards hampering inside runners. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Shifted outwards in the home straight. Driver G Smith admitted a breach of Rule 869(4) in that he failed to maintain a straight course in the run home and was fined $250 by the JCA.
APOCALYPSE - hampered at the start.
TANGO TARA - hampered at the start. Weakened from the 500 metres after racing three wide without cover from the 1400 metres. A post race Veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
Race 9   CRITERION HOTEL PACE
THE KAIK - held up early stages of the run home.
QUEENOFDANCE - held up for clear racing room throughout the run home.
MUSTANG GT - paced roughly passing the 1100 metres before breaking when racing over the crossing. Continued to pace roughly and broke again near the 800 metres. A post race Veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding.
PRECIOUS SARA - hung inwards leaving the final bend.
BEEN TO JENNY'S - over raced middle stages.
JOSHUA DYLAN - paced roughly at various stages throughout the race. When spoken to regarding the performance Driver B Orange reported the gelding had worked hard in the early stages however had failed to finish the race off as expected and had been disappointing. A post race Veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
TOMBELINA - broke at the start.
TERRIER - broke at the start. Placed on the unruly for future standing starts.
GOLDEN LACE - began awkwardly.
Race 10   RAY & MERIE MORRIS MEMORIAL HANDICAP TROT
BRIGHT GLOW - held up for clear racing room throughout the run home.
MIKEMARO - broke at the start. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Placed on the unruly for future standing starts at the request of Trainer R Austin.
SCRAPPYLITTLENOBODY - broke after 100 metres. Held up early stages of the run home.
FOREIGNER - hampered by a breaking runner after 100 metres. Crowded late in the run home and had to be steadied.
I'LDOITMYWAY - over raced middle stages. Driver P Davis admitted a breach of Rule 869(2) in that he used his whip on more occasions than permitted by Clause (b) of the Use of Whip Regulations with the matter being adjourned sine die.
MAJESTIC ACTION - Permission was granted for the mare to race in alternate colours. Held up for clear racing room throughout the run home. Driver J Curtin reported that he did not activate the removable deafeners.
