RAINING IN MY HEART - broke briefly near the 300 metres.
AWESOME IMPEE - advised by the connections to be racing in season. Broke shortly after the start.
BLUFF HILL - broke at the start losing its chance.
IT WASN'T ME - fractious prior to the start causing a delay. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Paced then broke shortly after the start.
MONO GAMBLE - fractious prior to the start and lunged through the barrier causing a delay. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
KEN'S DREAM - over-raced middle stages when racing outside the leader. Commenced to tire from the 500 metres and broke near the 200 metres.
ALDEBARAN BELLE - broke at the start and shifted in hampering BREAK FREE and KD HAWK losing its chance.
MAKE MY SUNDON - presented with a pacifier which had not been notified. Trainer Mrs A Best was issued a warning. Broke at the start losing its chance.

Race 2   SPRAY MARKS MOBILE PACE
JAFFA - placed in restricted room near the 200 metres when WESTBURN BLISS shifted outwards marginally and SCARED STIFF lay inwards.
HER MAJESTY - held up early stages of the run home.
WESTBURN BLISS - hampered by a breaking runner near the 1800 metres.
REATTORE - hampered by a breaking runner near the 1800 metres.
GLENLEDI CHIEF - lay outwards around the final bend and continued to lay outwards in the run home.
MIGHTY REACTOR - presented with a blind which had not been notified. Trainer B Mowbray was issued a warning. Hampered by a breaking runner near the 1800 metres.
RINGO'S A STAR - raced wide in the early stages then paced roughly and broke near the 1800 metres hampering trailing runners and losing its chance. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding. Driver T Williams advised he would be recommending a shadow roll be added to the horse's gear.
Race 3   T F PEARSON MEMORIAL PACE
KHAKI NUI - began awkwardly. Held up in the middle stages of the run home.
MAGICAL MALI - fractious behind the barriers. Raced wide in the early stages before being restrained to race midfield on the outer near the 1900 metres.
BENBRAE - over-raced middle stages.
MISSMOLLYGOODGOLLY - driver L McCormick reported he was unable to release the deafeners. Trainer Mrs R Low was issued a warning for failing to affix this gear so as not to malfunction.
PINUP BOY - broke briefly near the 1400 metres due to an easing of the pace hampering a trailing runner.
SIMPLY BETTOR - broke at the start. Broke again near the 450 metres.
EL CHAPO - hampered by a breaking runner near the 1400 metres and raced wide thereafter.
Race 4   GREAT SOUTHERN TIMBER TROT
ROCKNPOP - broke shortly after the start hampering trailing runners. Again broke racing into the first bend.
ROGIE FALLS - trotted roughly near the 1200 metres.
IDLE STUARTIA - lay inwards in the run home.
SUNNY BILL - Stewards adjourned a matter regarding the gear worn by the gelding.
DOFF YOUR CAP - hampered by a breaking runner shortly after the start. Cleared from the unruly for future standing starts.
RED HARBOUR - cleared from the unruly for future standing starts.
CHLOE ROSE - raced wide from the 1300 metres.
ESCARGO - hampered by a breaking runner shortly after the start and broke.
AORANGI - held up early stages of the run home. Trotted roughly over the concluding stages and was not able to be pressured by driver J Dunn.

Race 5   JOHN ROLLINSON CASH REGISTER MEMORIAL MOBILE PACE
VICTOR TANGO - gave ground near the 1000 metres. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Stood down to complete one satisfactory trial.
SENORITA MARGARITA - over-raced when being restrained near the 1100 metres.
SAGINAW - out of position at the start. Driver R Cameron was issued a warning. Trainer/driver R Cameron will be spoken to regarding the performance of SAGINAW in the coming days.
FRANCO RIOT - out of position at the start. Driver A Lethaby was issued a warning.
MORDECAI - out of position at the start. Driver K Tomlinson was issued a warning. Held up near the 200 metres and when attempting to shift inwards contacted the sulky wheel of FRANCO RIOT with the gelding racing roughly in consequence. Driver K Tomlinson (assisted by M Williamson) explained she had been having difficulty due to the gelding racing keenly and FRANCO RIOT commencing to give ground. After considering her explanation, Stewards issued Miss Tomlinson with a warning and advised her to take greater care in future.
CANSTAR - out of position at the start. Driver T Chmiel was issued a warning. Over-raced near the 1500 metres.
SZYBKA LANE - hampered by a tiring runner passing the 1000 metres.
GET IT ON - held up middle stages of the run home.
CHEDDAR VALLEY - over-raced in the early and middle stages. Broke briefly near the 1600 metres when there was an easing of the pace. Raced wide from the 900 metres.
Race 6   WOODLANDS STUD FILLIES & MARES MOBILE PACE
CHANGE IS GOOD - raced wide early stages.
MILLWOOD MAIZIE - when questioned regarding the improved performance, trainer J Gameson advised the mare had been able to take advantage of the small field size and a favourable run when setting the pace and he was not overly surprised by the performance today.
Race 7   CHELSEA PROPERTIES ASHBURTON CUP (HANDICAP PACE)
There was a delay to the start of this race when the 30 metre barrier strand broke.
THE MAROON MARAUDER - raced greenly near the 2000 metres when there was an easing of the pace. Driver M Williamson reported the gelding had raced keenly due to striking its sulky wheel discs.
QUEEN BEE BARDON - tired from the 800 metres.
MATT DAMON - over-raced middle stages.
JAZZY STAR - slow to begin and got back as a result.
MIKEY MAGUIRE - an Information was lodged and adjourned alleging driver C DeFilippi was in breach of the Push Out Rule on the first bend when he shifted outwards causing NANDOLO to be taken to a three wide position.
NANDOLO - forced to race three wide on the first bend.
Race 8   GARY MCCORMICK TRANSPORT PACE
POCKET CALL - broke at the start and shifted outwards abruptly hampering outside runners.
CLIVE - hampered in the early stages.
CLASSY KID - hampered in the early stages.
BOUND TO IMPRESS - had some difficulty obtaining clear racing room throughout the final straight.
DYNAMITE - driver J Cox admitted using his whip on more occasions than permitted by Clause (b) of the Use of Whip Regulations and after penalty submissions, the JCA suspended his driver's licence from the conclusion of racing on 27 December up to and including 4 January 2020 (5 days).
CHLOE'S JOY - raced wide early stages.
FLAMBOYANT - raced wide early stages.
JUST HOLLA - crowded at the start when shifting ground to avoid a breaking runner.
UNICO VELOCE - crowded at the start when shifting ground to avoid a breaking runner. When questioned regarding the gelding's performance, driver R Close advised he had been positioned further back than anticipated after being hampered at the start and the horse preferred being driven closer to the pace with a sit.
JUST MICHAEL - driver G O'Reilly reported he dropped his whip near the 200 metres.
MORNINGSTAR GOLD - raced wide early stages.
DARRYL KERRIGAN - cleared from the unruly for future standing starts. Held up in the early stages of the run home.
Race 9   W J DOYLE MEMORIAL HANDICAP TROT
MONRIKA - broke briefly at the start.
ONE MAJIC KENNY - broke at the start.
VALLEY STAR - broke shortly after the start.
MAJESTIC CHEVRON - broke at the start. Broke again near the 900 metres losing its chance.
SUNDONS FLYER - raced keenly in the middle stages. Came together with LOVEY DOVEY MOMENT over the final stages when that runner lay inwards.
LOVEY DOVEY MOMENT - trotted roughly in the run home. Lay in over the final stages and came together with SUNDONS FLYER.
Race 10   MCINTOSH CATERING MOBILE PACE
EASTWOOD ISABELLA - held up in the early stages of the run home.
MR MIDNIGHT - weakened from the 600 metres. A post-race veterinary examination confirmed the gelding had bled. Stood down for the mandatory 30 days with a Veterinary clearance including a post strenuous exercise scope required prior to completing one satisfactory trial before resuming.
SOUNDS LIKA GEM - held up by a weakening runner near the 600 metres and had to shift ground outwards to improve.
SECRET BET - driver T Chmiel's foot dropped from the sulky footrest on several occasions in the run home.
