BUB'S VC - raced wide in the early stages before being restrained to the rear to obtain cover.
TOUCHE - lay outwards entering the home straight being immediately corrected by driver B Orange.
GLENLEDI CAPTAIN - briefly hampered by TOUCHE entering the home straight.

RAKSJAMESON - held up for clear racing room late in the run home.
ALACRITY LASS - weakened rounding the final bend.
I HAD A DREAM - briefly forced to race wider on the track passing the 1800 metres. Weakened rounding the final bend.
ITZ ALLDOWN TO LUCK - over-raced in the early stages. Shifted out passing the 1800 metres forcing I HAD A DREAM to briefly race wider on the track. Driver R May was issued with a warning. Lay outwards leaving the final bend when under pressure. Driver R May reported the gelding had locked on the inside rein throughout causing him considerable difficulty and this had taken its toll over the concluding stages.
YOSSI - over-raced passing the 1200 metres. Lay inwards throughout the home straight. Driver J Hay admitted a breach of Rule 869(2) in that he used his whip on more occasions than is permitted by Clause (b) of the Use of Whip Regulations with the JCA imposing a fine of $200.

BRING BACK LEAH - held up for racing room rounding the final bend.
ALLABOUTJOY - trainer N Williamson advised the mare would be racing in season.
THE OPTIMIST - held up for racing room rounding the final bend. Had to be steadied late in the run home when placed in tight quarters.
RAKARIPPA - raced wide in the early stages.
RAKANELLIE - over-raced through the middle stages.
SUNSET RED - hung outwards late in the score-up.
Race 4   ALAN BLACKLER MEMORIAL HANDICAP TROT
GAZZA GALLEON - broke at the start.
CHINESE WHISPER - broke at the start losing considerable ground.
REBEL KIBBYBONES - held up rounding the final bend and in the early stages of the home straight.
SUPER FAST PAT - broke at the start losing considerable ground.
DIPENDRA - lay inwards in the initial stages of the home straight when under pressure.
WHATWILLBEEWILLBEE - broke at the start losing considerable ground. Driver J Cox reported the gelding cast a shoe near the 500 metres.

Race 5   WILLY'S FLOORING LTD MOBILE PACE
WOODLEA SHAWN - when questioned regarding the performance driver M Jones could offer no tangible explanation and expressed surprise at the gelding's favouritism. Held up rounding the final bend.
MAN I'M GOOD - shifted inwards racing into the first bend placing NIGHTMARCH in restricted room. Driver A Kyle was issued with a warning. Held up rounding the final bend.
MYRCELLA - driver C Lee admitted a breach of Rule 869(2) in that he used his whip on more occasions than is permitted by Clause (b) of the Use of Whip Regulations with the JCA imposing a fine of $200.
DREAMINSOVER - held up rounding the final bend.
LADY'S LASS - raced wide in the early stages.
BLACK OPS - hung inwards passing the 1600 metres. Over-raced near the 1300 metres. Reported by driver A Beck to have made abnormal breathing noises during the running. A post-race Veterinary examination revealed a possible displacement of the soft palate. Connections were advised the gelding was stood down pending a Veterinary clearance including a clear endoscopic examination post strenuous exercise, prior to racing next.
SHINDAL - over-raced when being restrained to take cover in the early stages.
NIGHTMARCH - briefly placed in restricted room racing into the first bend. Held up late in the run home.
TETRICK - held up rounding the final bend.
DALNESS ARIZONA - held up rounding the final bend.
DANGEROUS - when questioned regarding the improved performance caretaker trainer C Faithful advised the horse had drawn benefit from a change in environment, the addition of blinds and had performed well at a recent workout.
Race 6   HIGHWAY SERVICES LTD MOBILE PACE
TARTAN TRILOGY - trainer reported the gelding to have lost a racing plate during the running.
DONEGAL GILBERT - driver R May reported he had sustained a punctured sulky tyre during the running.
TACT EZE - held up rounding the final bend.
VINTAGE BEACH - broke at the start. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Raced wide from the 500 metres. Over-raced on various occasions during the running. When spoken to regarding the performance driver B Orange could offer no tangible explanation. Co-trainer M Robertson reported the gelding to be showing signs of muscle tie-up. Stewards will follow up with the connections in the coming days.
NIRVANA BEACH - briefly forced four-wide passing the 1100 metres then hung inwards contacting the back legs of ALLANDALE. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding. Hung inwards leaving the final bend and in the early stages of the home straight. Co-trainer M Jones advised he would be making gear changes prior to NIRVANA BEACH racing next.
MELTON MAFIA - paced roughly in the early stages.
GABBY'S STAR - shifted out passing the 1200 metres forcing NIRVANA BEACH to race wider on the track. Driver K Tomlinson was issued with a warning.
BETTORS HIGHLIGHT - held up rounding the final bend.
IWANADANCEWITSUMBODY - over-raced and hung outwards on various occasions during the running. Held up rounding the final bend.
ALEXY - over-raced in the middle stages. Held up rounding the final bend.
ALLANDALE - raced wide in the early stages. Over-raced when placed in restricted room passing the 1000 metres then broke when contacted by NIRVANA BEACH, with a hopple connecting strap breaking and the gelding being retired from the event. The gear was inspected and found to be in previous good condition.
LITE PERCUSSION - raced wide in the early stages until reaching the parked position passing the 1700 metres. Driver K Barclay reported she had sustained a punctured sulky tyre passing the 1300 metres.
Race 7   WINTON NIGHT 'N DAY FOODSTORE JUNIOR DRIVERS MOBILE PACE
MAGNETIC WATCH - weakened rounding the final bend.
TOBY O'GARA - out of position at the start. Trainer/driver C Faithful reported the gelding to have lost a racing plate shortly after the start.
STINGRAY TARA - raced wide in the early stages. Lay inwards late in the home straight.
CALICO HILL - out of position at the start. Held up rounding the final bend.
VIGOROSO - broke in the score-up losing all chance. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
Race 8   OTAUTAU 4 SQUARE SUPERMARKET WAIRIO CUP (HCP PACE)
IKNOW - broke briefly at the start. Weakened significantly from the 350 metres. When spoken to regarding the performance of the gelding driver J Hay expressed disappointment however could offer no tangible explanation. A post-race Veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormalities. Stewards will follow up with trainer J Hay in the coming days.
NOTA BENE DENARIO - broke briefly at the start. Held up rounding the final bend. Hung outwards entering the home straight with the gelding being reluctant to shift into the Passing Lane for a run.
KILOWATT KID - broke at the start losing considerable ground.
Race 9   MCNEILL'S POULTRY FARM LTD GOLD CHIP FINAL (HCP TROT)
MISS JESSICA - broke shortly after the start.
SOUTH PARK - broke at the start losing all chance.
GALLEONS FUTURE - broke passing the 1000 metres losing some ground. Driver S Ottley reported that the gelding had hung throughout causing her some difficulty.
ROBO TROUBLE - broke briefly at the start.
ONLY ONE WAY - hung inwards rounding the bends throughout, contacting track markers on occasion.
CRACKER HILL - Junior Driver K Tomlinson reported she did not activate the deafeners due to having the field covered.
DREAM OF PAT - broke shortly after the start.
SUNNIVUE PHILEAH - hampered by a breaking runner shortly after the start.
LADY ZARA - hung inwards entering the final bend and weakened thereafter.
SEKKIE MONKEY - broke rounding the first bend.

FIREFOREFIDDLE - paced roughly rounding the final bend. Weakened from the 400 metres.
