BEAUDIENE GAMBLER - broke briefly in the early stages of the score up and came together with BOBBY T. Held up final bend.
BOBBY T - came together with BEAUDIENE GAMBLER in the early stages of the score up.
LEADING THE WAY - briefly locked wheels with RAINY RIVER shortly after the start.
JETENARA - held up final bend.
ROMANITE - when spoken to regarding the performance, driver S Wigg advised that the gelding had travelled well however when placed under pressure inside the final 500 metres had failed to respond and been disappointing. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
GLACIER COASTER - lay inwards in the home straight.
THATS BETTOR - fractious leaving the pre-race formation hampering a trailing runner. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Held up early stages of the run home.
RAINY RIVER - briefly locked wheels with LEADING THE WAY shortly after the start.
PAT CAMPBELL - inconvenienced by THATS BETTOR early in the score up and broke losing all chance. Declared a non-runner by Stewards after being denied a fair start.
HIGHLAND REIGN - raced wide into the first bend. Driver C Negus admitted a breach of Rule 869(3)(b) in that she drove carelessly near the 700 metres when allowing her runner to shift wider on the track when attempting to activate gear. After hearing submissions on penalty, the JCA imposed a fine of $250.

MONO GAMBLE - broke at the start.
EMMA LOUISE - paced for a short distance in the early stages and was restrained by its driver. Held up final bend.
JUST ONE MORE - B Laughton was an authorised late driver change. Underwent and passed a pre-race veterinary examination after slipping over in the stable area. Broke after 100 metres hampering trailing runners.
MAJESTIC ROLLON - broke near the 600 metres.

GOTTA PARTY DOLL - driver B Weaver was spoken to advisedly regarding the manner he drove racing into the first bend when briefly crowding inside runners. Checked and broke near the 1300 metres.

UNICO GEM - broke at the start hampering trailing runners. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare. Broke again near the 500 metres. Driver R May could offer no explanation.
PETREA BROMAC - held up final bend by a weakening runner.
KRYSTAL DELIGHT - held up final bend by a weakening runner and throughout the run home.
RIDE IN A CONCORDE - raced wide early stages. Held up final bend by a weakening runner.
BAILEYS DIAMOND - hung inwards shortly after the start and paced roughly. Raced wide early stages. Paced roughly when held up for clear racing room near the 400 metres. Driver B Laughton reported that one earplug had activated in the early stages causing the filly to over-race.
NIGHT LIGHTS - raced wide until reaching the parked position near the 900 metres. When spoken to regarding the improved performance, trainer/driver A Mugford advised the horse had been racing without luck in recent starts when being held up for clear racing room in the home straight and was not surprised by the horse's performance today after working well in training. Driver A Mugford (assisted by S Clarke) admitted a breach of Rule 869(2) in that she used her whip on more occasions than permitted by Clause (b) of the Use of Whip Regulations and after penalty submissions, the JCA suspended her driver's licence from the conclusion of racing on 20 December up to and including 29 December 2019 (3 days).

CHALBERG - broke at the start.
KENYA - underwent a pre-race veterinary examination and was cleared to start. Hampered in the early stages.
ADIO ELLA - broke at the start.
SPANNA - crowded at the start. Raced wide early stages. Checked by BUDVAR EYRE approaching the 1600 metres and locked wheels with that runner losing all chance.
AMERICAN FLYER - broke at the start.
NADIRA FRANCO - hampered by a breaking runner at the start.
REGATTA - driver S Ottley reported the mare had hung inwards and paced roughly in the home straight and had cast a bell boot near the 300 metres.
PRESIDENT PAT - broke briefly at the start. Held up for clear racing room for the majority of the home straight.
SOCIAL MEDIA - hampered by a breaking runner at the start.
GOTTAGETTABEER - hampered by a breaking runner at the start. Held up early stages of the run home and hung inwards in the home straight.

The start was delayed due to MICHELLE being unable to take up its allocated position on the unruly.

ISLA'S JOY - trainer R Cameron advised Stewards that the gelding has had its hocks injected since last racing. Held up early stages of the run home. When questioned regarding the improved performance, trainer/driver R Cameron advised the gelding had responded well to treatment to its hocks. He added that the horse has performed well at this track before and had capitalised on a economical run throughout.
GOD ONLY KNOWS - J Dunn was an authorised late driver change. Permission was granted for the horse to race in alternate colours. Held up early stages of the run home.
CLIVE - G Thornley was an authorised late driver change. Stewards opened an investigation into the circumstances regarding this. Held up early and middle stages of the run home.
STINGER LINDENNY - over-raced from the 1600 metres. Lay outwards in the early stages of the home straight. Weakened over the concluding stages. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities.
CHLOE'S JOY - held up passing the 200 metres.
HANDS UP JACK - driver G Payne was cautioned for the manner he shifted ground near the 300 metres crowding an outside runner.
NUI BA DEN - crowded by an inside runner in the early stages of the run home and had to be steadied.

EMMERSYN LEE - raced wide into the first bend. Weakened near the 500 metres. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the filly had suffered an atrial fibrillation. Stood down pending a veterinary clearance.
KOTARE YOLANDE - held up throughout the run home. Driver R Houghton reported he did not activate the removable deafeners.
SOUNDSLIKEART - held up for clear racing room throughout the home straight. Paced roughly over the concluding stages. Driver J Dunn reported he did not activate the sliding blinds.
